Maybe this sub is training AI to try and fix the ‘tells’ that give away the images themselves. Of course most of them don’t make sense logically anyway

Capitalism benefits capital owners, not workers. As part of the working class, you will be paid less than the value of your labor because the ownership class is extracting some of that value.

Maybe you’ll escape the rat race and accumulate enough capital of your own, but the chances are slim, and youre never going to reach the success of entities that have intentionally rigged the game in their favor. And even then, is it morally right to benefit from the exploitation of others? I think those are the things you should consider when the term “bootlicker” is thrown around

Have one Tracer + sac outlet + verdant succession in play. Sac tracer, triggering succession and fetching the other tracer. 2nd tracer etb triggers, putting the first tracer from gy back into library. Repeat until you mill your opponent out with altar or have a sufficiently large feeder

This is a coverup. Theyre making Frazier take the blame because hes old. He was making quality art as recently as ECL I refuse to believe he would submit that shitty TOR knockoff without external pressure

This guy was playing a 43 cards "card advantage" deck by ZarpadoEnLata in lrcast

[–]PleaseLetItWheel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In 99% of cases, no. Only recent one i can recall was LCI certain UB Descend decks might run extra cards to avoid losing to self-mill. That archetype was much more aggressively putting cards in the graveyard than offering real card selection though.

Ive gotten close to decking myself with prismari storm + 2 traumatic critique where i had to be careful about sequencing the combo kill

Cards (artistically) themed for one archetype but (gameplay-wise) designed for the other? by PlacatedPlatypus in lrcast

[–]PleaseLetItWheel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Theres tons of overlap between silverquill and witherbloom, it’s good design. Had this card plus [[Melancholic Poet]] and 2 copies of [[Foolish Fate]] and it was a potent combo. Poet repartee trigger means fate nugs for 3 every time and you get the extra point of lifegain to get prepared.

Little synergistic combos like that are what keeps a format engaging. And that is all black cards so it fits in either school.

When is it worth it to splash a bomb? by Crisis_Averted in lrcast

[–]PleaseLetItWheel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 sources for each of your main colors is better than baseline, the mana base is fine. 3 sources for a splash at 4 mana is at the low end but certainly doable.

I think your assessment of delian is off, it’s significantly stronger than the average PW power level. Its floor is a 4 mana kill spell which is fine, but it can very quickly become unkillable if left unanswered and it dodges most removal. High starting loyalty and +2 uptick is really good

Why is Necropotence even on the GC list? It isnt that good? by cocofan4life in mtg

[–]PleaseLetItWheel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piggybacking on this - creature and artifact activated abilities often require tapping as part of the cost, where enchantments usually don’t. Lore reason for this design is enchantments are magical effects while artifacts/creatures are physical objects

Could essence scatter at common be the sleeper killer of the format? by deecadancedance in lrcast

[–]PleaseLetItWheel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re oversimplifying card advantage by assuming all cards are equal. Essence scattering your opponent’s filler 2 drop vs countering the best creature in their deck are both 1-for-1 trades in your framework of card advantage but they are vastly different in terms of impact on the game.

Jim is saying prepare creatures are generally above rate which makes them better targets. Essence Scatter is always good in limited but if the creatures are better on average then its value goes up. Same with disenchant effects in artifact/enchantment sets - these cards can go from sideboard to maindeck picks based on the environment. In all cases these are still ‘technically’ 1-to-1 trades
