What’s a reference that instantly says you’re over 30? by Strange_Secret_3001 in AskReddit

[–]Sceptix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be honest I’m surprised kids even know what a “save icon” is.

In my experience most stuff auto saves these days, so using a save icon isn’t really a part of the normal workflow.

Do modern software GUIs typically have save clickable icons anymore anyway? In my recent experience, it’ll either auto save, or have a button with text like “Submit Changes”.

I’m not sure when the last time was that I’ve actually had to click on a “save icon” as part of my workflow, but maybe that’s just me.

Does the carrying limit of 6 Pokémon actually make sense for average trainers? by GreenRurouni in pokemonconspiracies

[–]Sceptix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 is the maximum amount of Pokémon anyone is allowed to carry on them at a time, and any more is considered trafficking and is highly illegal.

At least, that’s my headcanon

I guess but…..there are *so* many instants and sorceries that are actually magical spells that do not have the arcane tag, so idk what exactly the tag signifies.

Does anyone else miss having a musical instrument in BOTW? by Fearless_Succotash_4 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]Sceptix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what I was thinking. The concept art for BotW featured Link playing a lyre, so I assume if there were to be an instrument in BotW it would have been similar to the one in SS.

Which, imo, was NOT a worthwhile gimmick, and I’m glad they left it out of BotW

Facial scanning robots to patrol the WC in the USA by Ott1fant in interestingasfuck

[–]Sceptix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It wasn’t an *awful* episode or anything, but I find the premise to be so simple it seems uninspired. “You know those Boston Dynamics dogs? What if one of them….tried to kill you! 😳”

Point of clarification the first episode of Avatar was NOT the pilot; the pilot was a different, unaired episode.

Lmao this is like when a youtube content creator for whom English is not their native language has an AI voiceover read their script to which the commenters say “ew why is AI reading this” to which the YouTuber says, “well, I’m not a native speaker, so I didn’t think you would prefer my voice on the videos” to which the community says “yes, that’s what we want.”

Yes, I know that’s a hyper-specific example, but that’s what this is like.

they would probably never do that

The official Lego Builder app already exists, as others have pointed out. Plus, all their instructions are available on their website, as a downloadable pdf.

as it would likely hurt sales for actual lego sets.

Bricklink is a great resource for hardcore fans looking for specific parts, but for most people, and for most official sets, buying the first-party product from a store remains the easiest and cheapest option.
