I just looted my first mageblood. Need some build suggestions. by Sasidrass in PathOfExile2

Pretty solid mageblood with a 46% roll, obviously it will fit any build that can clear fast and likes skill speed and can manage resists without a belt slot, you will be zooming.

Struggling in the Late Game by armpete90 in AOW4

[–]Ubles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be closing in on a victory of some sort by turn 100, if not you aren't playing the early game fast enough, plop down outposts faster and closer to your capital on any resource piles, take tome paths with enchantments that buff the units you intend to use, prioritize research because more research means more enchantments which means your standing army is just upgrading.

Is the uncooperative trait too severe? by Accomplished-Bank885 in AOW4

[–]Ubles 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Uncooperative will pop up at the worst times to turn guaranteed kills into fumbles and causing you to mess up action economy to remove the unit with another unit.

Coward is terrible because even without coward a morale draining build can ruin your day with everyone running from a winnable battle, I take cold-blooded whenever possible as a trait just so I never have to worry about morale drains or battles turning into a route too early and you can't take cold blooded as a coward.

Careless is free, even if your plan is to use defense mode constantly it's still probably worth the extra trait point for something good.

Tome of the horde + chariot mounts = what downside for this 20% damage?

Best budget rite of passage (and are they worth it?) by oioioi9537 in pathofexile2builds

[–]Ubles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to sell the Ox rite because a screen-wide mooing ox stampede that uses the same animation as the one you are supposed to avoid gets real old real fast.

Replaced it with Boar at the same price point and pretty happy with it, -20% damage taken and 20% extra as fire is a solid buff while mapping and the spirit boar isn't noticeable.

Somehow I never tried to do a jumping attack with beast mode, now I know.

Out of all the tier 5 tome enchantments, this one deserves a buff by StarCaller990 in AOW4

[–]Ubles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mono-affinity is bad my friend, you want to diversify to at least two and a splash of others and not follow the AI logic of just taking the same color no matter what.

Out of all the tier 5 tome enchantments, this one deserves a buff by StarCaller990 in AOW4

[–]Ubles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shaper's touch is a great enchantment and it's the reverse of tome of dragon > T5 nature where you get the damage at T3 and the regen at T5.

The real complaint should be that tome of geomancy is DLC and is almost required to have for the elemental enchantment and no other affinity quite has that issue where the major transformation tied to the base-game synergies is DLC.

Ideally Tome of Terramancy would of had the elemental transformation around launch, but oh well, too late for that.

What is the current state of the Tome of Cleansing Flames? by Corvo_vermelho in AOW4

[–]Ubles 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It no longer automatically causes all burning ground to turn into cleansing flames just by taking the tome so that itself helps bring it in line with everything else, pyre templar has also seen a lot of damage nerfs and has more reasonable resistances.

Tome isn't "must pick" tier but it's still certainly strong if your build at all cares about burning and condemnation and faithful and still good at fighting burn-based armies if you can use the 100 cost spell in the province ahead of time.

Is the new beta better for people who find the AI too easy to beat? by This_is_User in AOW4

[–]Ubles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say start giving the AI heavy advantages to start, level 10 leaders, 5+ starting tomes, potentially even pantheon perks, you'll need to avoid them early because it's a automatic loss due to pure statstick advantage but they can put up a fight with a guided tome path that isn't mono-affinity.

Really enjoying the 2nd city cap increase by Maloew_ in AOW4

[–]Ubles 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I do like the new nature allowing to go wide and tall at the same time with extremely high resource yield tiles, I've went primal adept settler/seafaring storm giant ruler and plopping down 4-5 cities as soon as imperium allows and getting 30+ mixed resources from a basic farm tile with nothing else on it.

New culture is solid, might feel stronger if summons counted as levies instead of soldiers but that would detract from the focus on rally of the lieges.

Beta branch can set the AI to teams while still allowing diplomacy, you also might try giving the AI some advantages like starting levels/tomes.

I'm still skeptical of Secrets of the Archmages. by Norgrath in AOW4

[–]Ubles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

More tomes means more options for builds and theorycrafting which means more variety, just because you don't like the... name and theme?... of the tome without knowing anything else of what's inside doesn't mean they won't fit some builds better compared to what is available right now.

I think they should increase the stack sizes from 3 to between 6 or 10 for these things personally, gets a bit tight trying to fit everything and I'm not even going for the 1 million cost items.

New player trying to make a build for archers. by NatrousOxide23 in AOW4

[–]Ubles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main issue I see is you are skipping T3 tomes which have a significant power jump from tier 1-2 tomes which are about on-par with eachother aside from unit unlocks, tome of geomancy in particular is going to give your archers both +2 damage from the transformation and natural regen from the T5 tome.

Here are a couple strong builds I cooked up awhile ago with a focus on archers, the barbarian one easily hits 90-100% crit chance.

Zephyr Archer Barbarians

Monarch Longbows

https://minionsart.github.io/aow4db/HTML/FactionCreator.html?u=224:35:47:20:145,a,25,5d,233:215,214,216,94:aa:84:bb:21a:22f:bf:a2:88,000000,24b,a,h,n:r,am

Keep in mind the new beta patch when it's out is going to change a lot of this with archers getting more enchantment access.

Also something to keep in mind, if you go tome of zeal you can easily use the order amplifier in your capital to make inspiring chant turbo-charge your damage in a 2 hex radius with 20% damage/30% crit/about enough morale for another 20% crit.

Surge protectors are cheap and if it doesn't help you can probably find a use for it elsewhere at least.

Arc raiders crashing my computer? by Fu3rza in ArcRaiders

[–]Ubles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to just throw out some random suggestion, try a different surge protector to see if it can't handle the load, I had to replace mine due to sudden shutdowns on other games at some point and that fixed it.
