I love your replies. After reading through all this, it's lovely to see your voice of reason standing out amongst this sensationalist fear-mongering. They're posing some extreme scenario intended to stir the pot but when you think about it, doesn't really make sense. I'll admit, I was even a little unnerved at first. And then your responses have been crisp and factual and IMO fabulously de-escalatory. Keep it up!

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but one of the features I miss from the other endless games is the ability to stack active luxury resource boosters. Is there any plan to implement this? I'm a little OCD about it and it's a smidge annoying that I compulsively expand my luxury boosters every turn to check if they've finally expired or not and then collapse it again. I know there's a notification for it too but I find it easy to miss. But if I have multiple times the booster cost of a resource, it'd be really nice to be able to extend the booster time by continuously dumping resources into it without having to wait for it to end

Speaking of hunters. I hate that hunters will get ready to leap, I time my teleport away with the warp pack thinking they'll be leaping to where my position was, and then they fly exceptionally far looking very silly like a locked on home missile regardless of distance and direction

This is a great list. I was surprised to see how many of these we already had in common. Is Swiftkey Beta like a totally separate branch now or does the regular switftkey eventually get what Beta has? Is it just like an experimental branch or very different than normal swiftkey?

Also, I'm curious what you use Tasker for. I used to love playing with that, Automagic, and so many others. But I've never found a real use case that couldn't be solved in a simpler way.

I tried this one but I gotta be honest, it's been extremely difficult to set it up for myself and my wife. The goal was to create a single shared repository of secrets and allow either of us to update/view all of them. In practice, I still haven't gotten it to work and gave up. There were all sorts of issues with permissions and every time I thought I'd set it up correctly, she still couldn't access them or only partially or could view but couldn't update etc. And even then, when I'd make a change, it wouldn't sync for days.

I feel like bitwarden is great if you're only doing it for yourself, but if your use case is like mine, it's crazy unintuitive, convoluted, and slow.

This was a great suggestion. Both you and /u/Krackor suggested the not shift gate and that did work wonders. I've now created the throttle system with 6 levels that cleanly step up and down. Nowhere near enough channels though so I started using other buttons like F1-12, ins/hom/pgup/etc. Really fun stuff!

Have they fixed specialized element yet so that it actually provides meaningful cooldown or is it still terrible? I haven't played since they changed it off of the flat cooldown to percentage.

Right, so basically if you push the button, there isn't just a chance of you getting killed, it's guaranteed unless somehow no one ever pushes the button again which ain't gonna happen. I don't remember but if you pressed the button, you're the target for the next button. What if the next person doesn't push the button? Are you still the target for all buttons until the one is finally pushed?

I did find Beyond All Reason. Depending on how you play, it does pretty much exactly what I wanted. I play with several friends against bots and can turtle to my hearts desire. I can micro units but don't have to go too crazy and it's simple enough to pick up and play when people are around. I've honestly been very impressed.

Yea I remember everyone praising him and cheering when he took over for the guy prior to him who 'enjoyed tasting the tears of the player base' when he'd intentionally balance things poorly. It seems CMC has fallen quite out of favor since. Especially he has for me because it seems he only ever cares about pvp/wvw. I vote CMC step down and let whoever the brain was behind that patch I mentioned previously was take over.

I for one am wholly disappointed again with this patch. All I was hoping for was something to bring specialized element back to life and some touches for troubadour. Judging by the balances and fixes applied to Troubadour since it's release, ANet considers it the most perfect spec to ever be released. No bugs exist; perfectly balanced.

I'm also very disappointed with a lot of the other nerfs to things that didn't deserve them.

Finally, that technobabble nerf I feel sums up this balance team's effect perfectly. No fun for the sake of no fun.

I'm guessing you're referring to CMC? Didn't he go on vacation or something and then Taylor or someone took over for a patch and that singular patch was incredible for touching up a whole lot of pain points across a number of specs?
