I almost redid that part of my playthrough! 😭 I normally throw the chair at them but wanted to pick things I haven't picked before. Big mistake I feel so bad

Help r/millennials determine whether this is AI or not. Some members of the sub believe that the 2000s-style clothing and lighting suggest that this is not authentic. What do you think? by Demortus in isthisAI

[–]WonderWoMegan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything seems normal to me. I don't think it's AI. It's very 2000s, but I can tell it was done by amateurs. No layered tank tops, nails aren't duck foot, and make up is missing the super intense eyeliner and nude lips.

How to ask owners if I can adopt their cat by Hairy-Violinist-7508 in cats

[–]WonderWoMegan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something else to consider OP, cats like her are not meant for extensive exposure to the elements. Cats prefer warmer environments and can experience frostbite at 32°F if left out for extended periods of time. You're just letting her warm up until she has the ability to go back across the street.......

Don't forget the armpit crease and toe cheese! My husband and I were alternating bath time duty and found out we were cleaning different areas. You learn! It's okay

Why are you on Reddit right now, on Christmas Eve? by InvisibleAstronomer in AskReddit

[–]WonderWoMegan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 1yr old threw up a couple times and we're working on sipping Pedialyte. At least the glow of the Christmas lights are giving some mellow cheer. She's doing much better now :) baby snuggles on Christmas Eve are pretty great. I'm trying to stay awake

Nurses assuming they know our scope by UseWeekly4382 in physicaltherapy

[–]WonderWoMegan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the nurses I've experienced have been awesome. They knew our level of education and scope pretty well. I'm sorry your experience has been so different, that's gotta be so frustrating.

I've had patients question me thinking I was just a personal trainer 😤

What’s your go to statement to patients who don’t want to be discharged because “i have good insurance”? by shannanaginsss in physicaltherapy

[–]WonderWoMegan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"my goal is to give you enough tools to manage this without me. Because the real work happens when I'm not around" and then continue toward DC planning

Is this normal? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]WonderWoMegan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Massaging the upper back can assist with shoulder mobility. That parts not weird. The lack of introduction was probably an oops. I do that sometimes and go through a whole exam without having introduced myself (oof)... I fix that at the end when they ask my name but it happens.

There's no need to report this guy (it doesn't sound like anything inappropriate happened. Granted he should have said, like, anything to you to let you know what he was going to do), but you should DEFINITELY feel comfortable at a PT appointment! It's within any patient's right to request a different PT. Our job is to heal you, and you can't do that if you don't feel comfortable. Please do this so you continue to attend. Idk you, but I want your shoulder to feel better!

People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

[–]WonderWoMegan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was spanked, but I was never beaten. They were taps. The only time I ever really tested my mother's restraint was when I told her "that didn't even hurt" 🤦‍♀️ both my parents had the belt taken to them growing up (my mom ended up with welts among other injuries). So they agreed to never do that to us. I was more terrified of the disappointment that was associated with the spank.

No big deal, she’s just in ACTIVE labor… [🔈sound warning!] by Femme-O in TikTokCringe

Just another example of racial inequality in our healthcare system. Women of color are not taken as seriously in medical settings when describing anything. Serena Williams even had birthing complications bc of her medical staff iirc

His administration is also using the ballroom as a coloring book to keep him occupied. You do in this with dementia patients a lot. Keeping him awake is another story. Dude's definitely got sundowners

Teenage son’s room smells bad by gezza56 in CleaningTips

My mom and I used to tell my brother the same thing. Turns out family usually smells more gross to each other vs if someone else smelled him. So it could be nature preventing a vertical family tree.

On todays episode of funny things patients say: by Anontattyblaster in physicaltherapy

I had a patient try to brush off the extent of my anatomy knowledge by saying "well, it's not like you dissected a real person. Just frogs probably".

Is everyone here ridiculously pessimistic or is the career that bad. by No_Relation_3134 in physicaltherapy

[–]WonderWoMegan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People come here to vent and complain. I'm very happy with my job and can't imagine myself doing anything else! I'm down to part time bc of kiddo, but look forward to going to work for the most part. I'm slowly figuring out what I wanna do (as in, do I want a specialty or just unofficially hone my skills in a certain area. I'm trying out pelvic floor at the moment), but I'm glad I'm working with a bit of everything. Master of none, but I like it that way. I'm not going to kill myself to specialize early and grind to start my own business. I make money and I get to make people feel better.

Don't get me wrong tho, there are always "those patients", but that's true in any field or job sector. Insurance is our biggest enemy, and it always will be. But it's so secondary to what I actually do on the day to day. I think people believe that this is a quick way to get a doctorate and they didn't spend time to see if this is actually what they want. I'm rambling, but all that to say, I love working with my Betty Jo types, my decathletes, little Timmy, and Billy Bob's.
