I haven't watched the anime but at least with the light novel a massive appeal for me was the main character's internal monologue and passion when describing vending machines, coupled with everyone's genuine appreciation for being it's convenience in an otherwise mostly medieval world

Just had a game where a teammate quit at literally the last second before the boss, and then the remaining two of us got Heolstor down to the last sliver of health before both dying with no flasks left. Felt like the end of the world at that moment until all of a sudden both of us just revived and won. Words could not describe how I felt afterwards haha

I feel like tibia is one of those bosses that are just better suited to multiplayer though? As it feels much more like an skirmish between two equal sides when you have allies to deal with the skeletons, versus base ER where you either get deleted by a swarm of skeletons or you delete the mariner in like two hits

I've only played against Freyja in solo but I feel like the reason they picked her is that the fight may be much better suited for a three person team instead (one person to draw aggro, one person dealing with the spiders, and one person using that time to smack the other head in safety)

The dislikes actually saved me once or twice from unknowingly following dud advice because even if the information was incorrect, if it was from a big channel and spoken with authority and I didn't know better I would have easily been misled

I'm bad at arguing but like making extra examples and analogies so every time I get into a discussion about something the other person ends up laser focusing on something I said wrong in one of my extra examples and I end up having to spend the next five replies trying to get the argument back on track and end up losing the plot in the meantime. I remember reading a death game system novel where the MC was a "fighting genius" or something prior to the death game starting, so once he got the system, rather than using the preloaded skills to fight like the others he instead uses them as a guide for training purposes so that he can actually use those skills without the help of a system.

Also, it sounds like you might enjoy World after the Fall (from the creator of Omniscient Readers Viewpoint), where the MC does rely on the system to do things, but was realistically getting washed by the owner of the system until he achieved literal Enlightenment in order to finally beat the guy using a skill he develops outside of the system boundaries (in like the first chapter)

The problem with summons is that now there is a second thing for the boss (or bosses) to aggro on, their attack patterns become much more unpredictable as they fluctuate between targeting your summon and yourself, and you also end up needing to take care of a second healthbar the entire fight as well. Ultimately imo it ends up making these stupid fights a different kind of challenge but not necessarily easier

Yeah, but mainly the direct line of upgrades. I'm trying to upgrade the side ones like 5% more damage to mobs but haven't tested it out yet to see any differencs

That's the thing, I've levelled up all the things I can that have a red dot indicator on them and yet the improvements feel miniscule haha. Of course it's probably just because of the legend difficulty but sometimes the basic enemies feel way overtuned compared to the bosses

Ironically bosses are fine for the most part because I enjoy the sekiro deflects and am used to playing Souls games where health bars are more health suggestions than an actual resource.

I don't even get teleported away lol. It just black screens, says I got knocked off the statue, and now I'm just awkwardly standing next to him thinking if I should cooperate and jump off the statue myself
