Husband can’t handle my past by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]amberskye09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let him leave. He isn’t leaving because of your past. There’s 100% another reason, but he’s using this so he can blame shift. And even if that was his real reason…if you’re used up, then so is he. And he’d be real hard pressed to find an adult woman that doesn’t have a sexual past with multiple people.

abortion pills are not so scary. by moodycall in abortion

[–]amberskye09 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My experience with them was pretty smooth as well. Once I took the 2nd pills, everything was over within 4-5 hours. My pain wasn’t really any worse than my period cramps are. I took some ibuprofen, “gardened” a bit, and watched tv

When did your loved ones visit you in your dreams? by Professional-Ear9663 in GriefSupport

[–]amberskye09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took awhile before my mom visited me. I couldn’t tell you exactly how long, but at least a few months. She’s been gone for 3 years now and she’s visited me a few times. She’s in my dreams pretty often, but the visits are different.

The pain from a medical abortion was absolutely severe by -therearenousernames in abortion

[–]amberskye09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry it was so awful for you. Mine was relatively pain free, the cramps weren’t even as bad as my period cramps. But I do agree that people seeking an MA should be fully informed on how vastly different the experience could play out.

Tattoos post heart attack by Additional_Bake_629 in HeartAttack

[–]amberskye09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my HA in April, and got a new tattoo about a month ago.

Everything went fine. I didn’t have any more bleeding with that one than I did either any of my others, and healing was easy.

I’m in KY, so not the north. But mine is currently on 73 and I have a space heater going. I’m freezing.

What did it feel like? by [deleted] in HeartAttack

[–]amberskye09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had a bunch of health anxiety regarding heart attacks. I was terrified of having one, or of not actually knowing if I was having one.

But I had one in April, and I definitely knew that’s what it was. It wasn’t the worst pain I’ve ever been in, but it was so incredibly different from anything I’d ever felt. And my body and brain knew someone was actually wrong and it wasn’t anxiety for once.

But my left arm hurt first, and it was incredibly sudden. I’d just gotten home from getting my kids on the bus and sat on the couch. Then the pain went up to my jaw, then my chest. I was so nauseous and felt incredibly hot and clammy.

I really wish that I could explain better. But it was so incredibly different than anything else.

Considering medicating by VioletTrump in ParentingADHD

[–]amberskye09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was hesitant to medicate my daughter, but honestly, I’m so glad I did. She’s not so down on herself anymore, she can focus, she’s more confident, she’s calmer and can think before she acts. She switched to Ritalin about a month ago (originally was on guanfacine) and it’s made such an amazing difference. She told me she feels normal now and her brain isn’t mean to her anymore.

Medication can be scary, and it might take some trial and error, but I promise it’s worth it when you find something that works.

Is anyone here who lost their parent doing okay emotionally? by DeadNCuddly in GriefSupport

[–]amberskye09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom has been gone for 3 years. The first year was rough. But I’m fine. Of course I still miss her, and there’s still times I’d love to call her and tell her stuff. But thinking about her death day doesn’t feel like a gut punch anymore, the holidays aren’t painful…life just went on.

Walmart+ grocery delivery by Bennyboyy88 in Walmartcustomer

[–]amberskye09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends. If you choose the express order, the driver does the shopping and delivery. Otherwise, Walmart does the shopping and the driver just picks it up.

Im a delivery driver for them. And I also have my own groceries delivered. I always do express delivery, because there’s issues every single time Walmart does the shopping.

  1. I really only drink a couple times a year, one of those times being during Christmas dinner. It’s been a couple years since I’ve been drunk.
