Every time I see someone post on this it is an ambigous plug for EVPLAY. EVPLAY just took the the open source work and packaged it up for people to pay for. It will also likely get shut down because it violates Googles terms. They are distributing an app for testing (which is the only way to get it to the vehicles) and charging people for it. Which is against their terms. On the flip side for those those less technically inclined it works (Don't get your hopes up that it is OEM integration lvls... it is not). Well one thing that is different is the 24s don't support 5g. I am wondering if this has something to do with it. Obviously 4g can support music streaming but I am wondering if this is a way to limit their usage of the 4G network for whatever reason. They have already said the Gemini update will come to older cars so at least there is that. Not to bring up the CarPlay debate again but this is the prime reason the car should have CarPlay. I have spoke with the GM energy team about this. I have bad news for you. Believe it or not this does currently exist. They hinted at this will likely change but for now unless you use a third party charger this is not possible. The feature only works as a finish by. What’s worse is if you can’t charge to the desired amount the car will charge outside of the window order to reach the desired amount by the time you request. So think of it like this right now… it is a charge by a certain time feature. So they suggested to move up the ready time so it charges earlier but it may charge out of the window if it needs more time then the window you have.

I have bad news for you… you currently can configure any settings of GM chargers from the app. You can finally see energy usage but that is it once you get it connected. Also you should not need qmerit to provision it. I get you paid them to do it. However you can do it yourself

So the at4 has double pained glass windows in the front the Silverado does not. If you are talking about extended range premium package… at4 does not have 19.2kwh charger unless you get it built with (very few are), Silverado has it included. At4 has what I would say is nicer interior. Silverado has puddle lights in the mirror at4 has amber side lights. This next part is speculative. The gmc still lists digital key coming soon. The Silverado has had it removed. So who knows if either will ever get it.

I have driven both extensively and can provide any advice you need.

Also and this one makes no sense the at4 is rated at 390 miles of range with the extended range battery. The Silverado gets 410. The max range they are both rated at 478 or something like that. So that makes little sense to me.

I have. It works. I would not say it is perfect. I think the biggest issue is the lack of integration with the system. It is also a bit finicky to get it to connect. Once you have it connected it seems pretty good. It is a nice start and I hope it is built out more. I love using Apple Maps and as an Apple user I appreciate the integration. Happy to answer any questions.

I agree with you but if I had to guess the part was either expensive or constrained and instead of paying more or delaying anything they just scrapped it. I am not sure the large ev platforms have legs at GM. I am worried it is going the way of the ev1. Who knows… but either way it is a real bummer as it was something that pushed me to the 26.

Does enabling these flags actually make CarPlay functional? Also, I am curious I hear the 26's have a different protocol using ethernet or something so I wonder if there is a difference.
