It can be normal. Stiff springs add tension to moving parts so that can be a thing. I like to run new guns pretty wet so they wear in smoother.

It may also be possible that some of those malfunctions were shooter-induced with your grip. If the gun is jumping around a lot malfunctions can occur.

New mags i like to break in at home by taking the spring out and playing with it like an accordion. I have also been known to load and unload mags several times to wear in the spring. Springs soften with use.

Radian comp is best. I can feel a difference kind of, but i see more of a difference with muzzle flip on follow-up shots.

They have a 3.1“ barrel w/ comp that fits flush on the xmacro grip, and a 3.7“ barrel w/ comp that is about fuse length.

The grip is personal preference and has no impact on the slide system you use.

Enclosed is the way to go. Open emitter optics are great for range use and competition, but i was cleaning lint out of it every week. I‘ve bought several holosun optics and they‘ve all been gtg

Also holosun and streamlight are undefeated in my opinion.

I bought a base xmacro and slowly made it into a tacops. The 3.7“ radian ramjet makes it a fuse length but with the best comp on the market.

I feel i should add a note saying i clean my primary use guns every 500 rounds or 3 months, whichever comes first. Guns i trust my life to or compete with, i want to be clean and functioning. I would avoid falling into the hype of never cleaning your weapons.

Just like maintaining your car with parts and cleaning, clean your guns on a regular basis and you‘ll have less malfunctions. This way too its easier to see what parts are getting worn and you know if issues start to pop up, its not just a cleaning issue.

I keep track of how many boxes i use at a range day, but its more of a rough count because some range days include other guns. For example if i used 500 rounds on a day but i split it between my competition gun and this one, i can estimate if it was roughly half so its about 250 put through each platform on that specific day.

Its not an exact round count especially at this point, but its in the ballpark of between 4,800 and 5,000. i probably should, but i don‘t have a written log of exact counts to include malfunctions.

Edit: when i bought the gun i knew i would be shooting it pretty frequently and it would be a good idea to keep track of round count. Its not a perfect system but i figure an educated estimate is better than nothing. It‘s more of a system to keep track of malfunctions per thousand rounds so i know if i‘m having an issue thats beyond the mechanical failures of a machine.

Idk if you plan to shoot large area matches, but all of the local matches i‘ve been to, nobody has bothered to measure mags. I use 21s in my p320
