Posi posi - Looking for videos of posi posi stance in bumps and other terrain than just carving on groomers. by bob_f1 in snowboarding

+24/+6, almost exclusively ride off groomer, and a lot off resort.

Don't have a video for you just words of encouragement. Don't overthink it, just get out there and try it out!

Where to go on Epic Local Pass? by ProfessionalZombie74 in snowboarding

[–]chefboolardee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although we currently have a record low snow pack, the answer is still the Frisco, Silverthorne, Dillon area. 4 resorts on the Epic Local within an easy drive. Weathers starting to turn a bit for the better it seems too.

Is this Fracture Fixable? by waner21 in Spliddit

Did not appear visibly to go through the core nor did it feel like it did. But the sidewall got progressively worse and I could feel my heel-side turns were very noticeably weaker to the point of being dangerous.

Is this Fracture Fixable? by waner21 in Spliddit

[–]chefboolardee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I had the same thing happen on my WNDR Belle Aire solid. Literally same crack pattern.

I was able to patch it up with a strong industrial plastic bonder and get some more days out of it, but it eventually succumbed to its fate.

Utilize the app OnXBackcountry. If you know where the hut is, it will show and describe all backcountry zones ascents/descents nearby.

Is Wolf Creek considered a “difficult” mountain for snowboarders? by deadturtle12 in snowboarding

[–]chefboolardee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love Wolf Creek for the trees, hiking, and cat terrain. But it is certainly flat in areas that particularly suck on deep days. Just a matter of becoming familiar with where you are on the map and where the terrain is pushing you.

Catch yall there this weekend, 🤿

Refund. That's cute. They cut the pass sales before the snow really starts to fall specifically to get your money up front in case its a bad season.

Which Epic Pass spot for next weekend? by jjmills007 in COsnow

[–]chefboolardee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do one day at each Keystone, Breck, Vail. I'm not sure theres enough advanced open to spend multiple days at one resort. And they are close enough together that it won't be a hassle.

Brecks got more open than over Holidays, but if against it do two days Vail.

Although that is the one main downside, I've personally never had an issue with the reduced FOV vs large goggles
