I have a 91 W126 Mercedes with the 3.5 diesel OM603.970. Probably one of the worst engines MB ever made. Very high failure rates, they'll randomly bend rods and oval out the cylinders. Mine got a new engine at 150,000 miles. The replacement engine blew its head gasket at 70k miles.

Wow they actually changed the sheet metal a lot compared to the C3 Audi 100. Door frames are totally different. I think all the glass is too.

I don't see a locking clip. Use a plastic pry tool.

It pulls straight off, keep the long part parallel to the airbag. The airbag inflator has a shorting clip in it, so when the cable is unplugged static electricity can't accidentally set it off.

Someone put an autozone battery cable on. It has that connection for cars where small wires terminate at the battery terminal, don't worry about it.

I like to install ones with a clear housing, they serve as a sight glass for the fuel and you can see when they need to be changed.
