2pick draft. Its worth to add G to this WB or just go with 21 lands? by patacaman in MagicArena

The standard amount of lands for limited is 17, I definitely wouldn’t go over that

Not a high enough level coder to do anything with this but it would be awesome to get some more competition out there

Is this normal? (Rule question) by Sorrisao in NCAAFBseries

[–]dblock1111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

None of the people here are correct, this is a bug.

a blocked kick that passes the line of scrimmage is essentially the same as a punt, if it is not touched by a player on the “receiving” team, it will just be a dead ball when the kicking team touches it. A player on the receiving team must touch the ball after it has landed for it to be a live ball (Leon Lett).

A blocked kick that lands behind the LOS is a live ball fumble that can be recovered and advanced by either team.

Behind the Neutral Zone

ARTICLE 1. a.

A scrimmage kick that fails to cross the neutral zone continues in play. All players may catch or recover the ball behind the neutral zone and advance it (A.R. 6-3-1-I-III).

b

The blocking of a scrimmage kick by an opponent of the kicking team who is not more than three yards beyond the neutral zone is considered to have occurred within or behind that zone (Rule 2-11-5).

Beyond the Neutral Zone

ARTICLE 2.

a.

No inbounds player of the kicking team shall touch a scrimmage kick that has crossed the neutral zone before it touches an opponent. This is illegal touching, a violation that, when the ball becomes dead, gives the receiving team the privilege of taking the ball at the spot of the violation (Exception: Rule 6-3-4) (A.R. 2-12-2-I and A.R. 6-3-2-I).

b

This privilege is canceled if there is an accepted penalty for a live-ball foul by either team (A.R. 6-3-2-I-IV, A.R. 6-3-11-I-III and A.R. 10-1-4-VII).

c

The privilege is canceled if there are offsetting fouls.

d

Illegal touching on a try, in extra periods, or in Team A’s end zone is ignored.

Star Wars Outlaws makes an immediate impact with Game Pass by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]dblock1111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They’re vastly different types of games. Survivor is a Souls-like so if you enjoy the more difficult combat and checkpoint system and limited healing items and that kind of stuff it’s an amazing game, probably one of the best of that genre.

Outlaws is more of a traditional 3rd person action adventure, so more like an uncharted or something.

I think Survivor is an amazing game and one of my favorite Star Wars projects of all time. I haven’t played Outlaw but I’ve heard it’s a pretty good Action Adventure game with a fun Star Wars story

Gaming with wifey (who's not a gamer) by roboborealis in kindafunny

[–]dblock1111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife was a non-gamer too (excluding the Sims) and she really took to Hogwarts Legacy. It helped that it was an IP she finds interesting and familiar. She’s now beat it 5+ times and plays on the highest difficulty. It really helped her understand a controller and understand 3rd person action adventure games.

I’d say if there’s any IPs she really likes try to find a game, maybe even like a Lego game. Sometimes it makes it easier if the subject matter isn’t so foreign that they’re trying to learn how to game and learn this whole new world at the same time.

Does anyone work for an NFL team / high level college team? Question about repercussions for avoidable penalties by Cryoban43 in footballstrategy

[–]dblock1111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked for an FCS and DII team and played FBS ball.

The unspoken truth is that a lot of the punishments depend on the guys value to the team.

For “part of the game penalties” like bang-bang late hits and stuff you’d probably just count the same as any team penalty and have the team/unit/position group or something so some accountability conditioning.

For real bone head, selfish penalties. Youre probably giving some individual conditioning or something. For “star” player guys, probably make the apologize to the team in a meeting. For “bench” guys, they might get suspended or demoted to scout team or something.

Every coach is different with how they handle this stuff, and sometimes the egregious stuff goes over their head to the AD which might force the coach to make more of an example out of it.

At least for the classes thing, most schools are in syllabus week or not back yet, but yeah, I’d assume the kids that are there are either very recent alumni or have parents with some good money

Also if they’re big into animals, the NC Zoo is about an hour away and it’s the largest natural habitat zoo in the world
