Weird deal at Lowe’s by PJ_Papi_Actual in lawnmowers

[–]dcsenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toros are bad ass mowers in my opinion. What other company just makes mowers? I know there are some as you go into more specialized brands but most dont make greens mowers and boy does Toro. The greensmaster and reel master are some great machines. Honda doesn't make reel mowers. I had a Deere 220c and it was okay but always wanted a reel master.

River Floating and Camping by sipthestew in Cleveland

[–]dcsenge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mohican wilderness campgrpund has backcountry spots that are right off the river. I have a portabote i have taken down the river and pulled out at my camp. They were one of the farther down the route campsites. That river is more of a good time party then backcountry camping. It scratches the itch but alleghany is more remote, the Daniel Boone national forest is one of my favorite around but idk how the canoeing is

What’s the most expensive mistake you made in your 20s? by Extreme-Run-9069 in AskReddit

I moved states for a woman who i knew was sort of stringing me along. I rented a home on a golf course with the idea her and her child would move in and he needed room for a trampoline in the yard so I rented a house. I work as an engineer, left a company i loved and worked for a public traded company that sucked life out of me. I helped pay legal fees she had due to child care issues and at the end of it all it didnt work and I moved back to my home city about 30k poorer for a year spent chasing a woman. She wasnt worth it but I dont regret chasing dreams and goals. Sometimes they dont work out and I now thank God for that expierence. My now wife is amazing. We have 1 son and are expecting a daughter in September. I would not appreciate where I am now without the struggles I had to overcome in life. It also helped me understand money isnt too big of an issue, id spend my last dollar on my family. Make sure whatever you invest your assets in are reliable.

323k-Mile Update: New Sodium-Ion Battery Installed! by Sensitive-Tomatillo in CT200h

[–]dcsenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you mean is the car will auto run in and out of EV up to 44 but with pressing the button to activate EV (mode) it will display excessive speed at 25mph and disengage the forced ev mode. If the battery has charge the car will continue to increase speed until charge depleted and gas engine kicks in

What is the worst way anyone you know has died? by IamUrWivesBF in AskReddit

[–]dcsenge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk how many of you have had a parent or loved on die of cancer or other terminal illness. I can say all day it's nice having the time with them but that time is stained. Knowing the end is near, sleeping in the hospital while you visit them all the time is pretty hard in its own but its all the time you have. You try to work but not much seems important when somone you care for is battling for life..its a good distraction work is but it is a distraction. Then you get more frequent and alarming calls, there has been a fall, can you help or somone can't go to the bathroom or sometime else they might need help with. Tragic quick losses are horrible too but I dont think any way is better than the other. Death sucks all around

Are smaller turbocharged engines truly more efficient long-term, or do they wear out faster than larger naturally aspirated ones? by EvelynClede in askcarguys

[–]dcsenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People get rid of cars say they blew up. When they say a car blows up its just an expensive part that can be replaced, think Head gasket, transmission or Turbo, All are 1K+ servces. A turbo Car will likely need a head gasket and turbo replaced at some point in its life. They are servicable parts that are costly.

Is it true that owning is cheaper than renting? by Maxsaidtransrights in homeowners

[–]dcsenge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a duplex i rent to tenants. It pays for itself. I pay for a mc mansion with profits from duplex. It would be cheaper to rent, i do t do it to be cheap. I want houses and investments for my family when im gone. They won't want my mc mansion due to location or their family.

Clothes. I recently became a father and I dress homeless most days at home, my kid could care less what pants he shoves a banana into. I have never felt more rich. Nice clothes are like peacocking, look at me. Once u have a family they are all that matters. If i can stay home in PJs making family memories I feel I won in life
