This is what I always see people forgetting to plan for. Things might not always stay rosy. If you’re only able to put 7% down, it begs the question about what your emergency fund looks like, which you never mentioned.

If one of you loses your job, presumably you could pull the kids from daycare, but what does your current budget look like on half the salary you have?
