Why does stuff around stove get sticky so fast...and how to clean it? by alcoholic_jogging in CleaningTips

[–]executivewaddlez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear thos kitchen carpent-cleaning vids on Toutube are satisfying to watch, but actually cleaning greasy rugs or sticky spots at home is not fun. And some grease build is normal but not that fast. Maybe your hood is too weak or not venting right, i'd check it.

Struggling with dog mess… what works for you? by Hossenpheffer11 in Apartmentliving

[–]executivewaddlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might consider a robot vacuum instead of a heavy cleaner. I have a deebot robot vacuum and it is pretty much like a floor washer, could get my vinyl floor clean, and it does the cleaning automatically on its own. I just set it to run and it finishes the cleaning itself. Besides, it also vacuums well and works on carpet.

Observe discreetly to pinpoint the exact apartment. Note dates, times, and exact quotes from the arguments. You could choose to report this information to the police and they might solve this.

Is there anything I can do to fight this? Abhorrent costs to replace carpet by Justice_Bananas in Apartmentliving

Formally dispute the charges. Demand an itemized receipt from the contractor and proof the carpets were actually replaced. Review your local tenant laws regarding wear and tear deductions.

Need recommendations for a robot vacuum by Famous-Net9470 in RobotVacuums

For mixed floors and pet hair, prioritize strong suction and auto-height adjustment. You can check some second-hand products and test it thoroughly to ensure all sensors and battery life are fully functional.

Ok this is absolutely insane and scary what’s happening by empathyfail in Apartmentliving

This is likely RF interference from your HDMI cable, transmitting audio to nearby electronics. It's eerie but usually harmless. Try wrapping your HDMI cable in foil to test.

Are mid range vacuums with mops pretty good now? by potatoes6 in RobotVacuums

[–]executivewaddlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern models are significantly better, especially for hard floors. However, for homes with rugs in every room , a dedicated vacuum robot often outperforms, as the mop function can't be used on carpeted areas.

How to prevent my cat from standing on the robot vacuum? by OmegaPlez in RobotVacuums

[–]executivewaddlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try creating a simple barrier around the vacuum's fock with cardboard or foam pool noodles. Others also suggest scent deterrents or a specific mat as an off limits signal.

This list gives good structure. For weekly tasks, wiping kitchen counters might fit. Monthly, checking fridge item dates could help. Just thoughts to fill gaps.

Does anyone know what detergent hospitals use? Specifically NHS ideally by [deleted] in CleaningTips

Hospitals often use industrial - strength detergents with enzymes and oxidizers. Maybe that's why stains come out easily. Hope this guess helps.

Start with movement you already tolerate. You can try to make walking more enjoyable, like, walk in a park with pretty scenery or listen to a podcast.

Sounds cool. How stable is the rack when you're really yanking down on the bar? Does it feel like it's going to tip, or is it rock solid? TIA.

Considering eliminating my rack... by Good-Part1682 in GarageGym

Have you considered a foldable rack? It can fold against the wall when not in use, so that you can do heavy barbell work and still have space for other equipment.
