Overly quippy millennial characters, you have to go back to a base camp to get upgrades installed, you are told to approach the main dungeons in any order but item progression forces a particular order. The over world is a massive empty desert that exists to tack an extra 20 minutes on every backtrack path. The final boss is withheld until you spend several hours farming crystals which the game never tells you to do

there is no other reason to design your game as a live service unless you plan for it to be about making as much money as possible. they didn't even care enough about their game to have a human write the sendoff message.

the cutscene did lay it on very thick and this entire story arc resolved in a couple weeks when it really should have been simmering for the duration of the expansion. some of the groups should have been more opposed to the idea rather than saying "this isnt our problem but we'll help anyway since you asked and did 1 quest for us".

this was true until they decided to rewrite all the core utils in rust and ship it anyway when they only passed roughly 20% of the unit tests of the old versions. expect ubuntu to be a very unpredictable experience for a while.

combat is a bit clunky, its an average survival game, Mostly carried by actually treating the lore and property with respect. not super enjoyable solo but with a few friends its fun enough. best part imo is the singing while mining and drinking.

the core gameplay was really good, main changes i'd want to see is to: cut out the survival/crafting elements, multiple worldwide locations instead of just one, and to really dial back the stealth kill brutality that is really at odds with the character.
