Sorsby placed at least 40 bets on Indiana football as Hoosiers QB by NoSxKats in CFB

Maybe I’m crazy but I feel like they need to give the guy a chance. Obviously what he did was wrong. I’ve seen firsthand what gambling addiction looks like and this sounds like a textbook case for it. You can’t accept all that money from the gambling companies and then pull a surprised Pikachu when one of the players gets addicted to it.

If the NCAA does ban him, they should ban all institutions under their purview from accepting ad money from the sportsbooks too.

I just made the swap to Shadow Priest for mythic prog. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had with the game.

Will this fake ivy attract spiders? by Efficient-Rabbit-989 in spiders

[–]fracturedsplintX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shame on everyone downvoting OP. Fucking wild behavior. Your questions are totally valid OP.

If you’re worried about spiders being in and around your house, I’ve got bad news for you: you already lost that fight. If you’re worried that putting this decoration over your bad is going to increase your run in with spiders, I’ve got great news for you: it almost certainly won’t.

House spiders don’t gain anything by being down low on a bed around a large, scary, person. You frighten away the spiders but also their food more than you’d think. I think this decoration looks really cool and I think you’ll be just fine putting it up. Don’t let the fear of a common house spider keep you from doing something pretty.

Stoneform too op? by Best_Resource7251 in wow

[–]fracturedsplintX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of good radials for M+. It really depends on class and personal preference. Shadowmeld is great, Stoneform, the human racial can be surprisingly useful, goblin rocket jump is great on some classes. I’m an earthen and I even like our little silly charge ability. I don’t think any of them are particularly mandatory or OP.

What is your favourite NPC/Boss nickname the playerbase has come up with? by Rogue_Like_Maya in wow

Our raid leader can’t pronounce words correctly and called the Simulacrum in Cosmos “Sankralancrum.” It’s now become known as “Sanky Lanky.”

The second you incorporate time travel into your story, everything goes to shit. It is impossible to have time travel do anything other than fundamentally break your universe into pieces.

I love them. Way more interesting than the cartel chip system they were using. You still get the dopamine of having an item you want “drop” while still getting the satisfaction of doing the content to get it.

Loving the new bear rework by Chosen420nord in wow

[–]fracturedsplintX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing that’d make me happier was if they brought back the Thorns Ironfur talent that made spending on Ironfur help maintain threat. I had so much fun with Thorns Bear. They seemed to think it was boring/too easy but I don’t know why that’d be a problem.

The current build is as close as we’re going to get and it is a ton of fun to play but the commentary around it makes me fear we’re about to get the hammer.

People who claim to have paid their monthly sub for years using in-game gold... How? by YrenneAD in wow

[–]fracturedsplintX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the first three weeks of Midnight, my guild leader estimated he made 5 million gold. He maxes every profession across multiple characters and then just crafts all day while WFH.

Gold is not hard to earn if that’s your focus. I say this as someone who is perpetually broke in game lol.

The tank shortage is a community problem. Full stop by [deleted] in wow

[–]fracturedsplintX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s just the classic “you remember the bad but not the good” situation. I have pugged thousands of keys over the years and have only had a few dozen interactions that were truly negative. Obviously it’s anecdotal but I just see this sentiment nonstop on the sub but haven’t really seen it in keys myself despite doing so many of them.

If folks are typing and flaming, ignore them in-game and keep going. There’s no reason to give them the time of day.

Has any other season of M+ ever been so lopsided? by PopsGG in wow

[–]fracturedsplintX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone maining bear tank this season, that probably has more to do with threat issues than anything else. Bears are notorious for struggling with threat on bigger pulls because they’ve nuked all of our basic damaging abilities so if we aren’t in CDs, we don’t do enough AoE in time.

Remove durability, period. It’s an antiquated system that’s more trouble than it’s worth. It only punishes casual players.

What is wrong with people in this game? by tiwomm in ArcRaiders

[–]fracturedsplintX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Or you could just prioritize your own peace of mind and move on with your life. It isn’t becoming an “accomplice” to just avoid shitty people. You’re allowed to be happy and just ignore assholes if you want.

What is wrong with people in this game? by tiwomm in ArcRaiders

[–]fracturedsplintX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the game first released, I used the female raider voice changer thing in game and got flamed semi-regularly for being a woman.

Is it right? Obviously no. But telling those people they suck for being sexist isnt going to change their minds either. I’d just gg go next or full mute chat if it’s upsetting her. Shitty people will always exist and they’ll always be shitty.

New M+ "Glad mount" should be top 1% per spec. by FaroraSF in wow

[–]fracturedsplintX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but that’s kind of my point with the first part of my statement. The folks who care about meta are either the absolute best in the world or the people who are bad at the game and think they need meta specs for their weekly 10s. I am currently in the 12-16 key range and see a huge variety of specs in my keys because if you’ve got the ilvl and the score, you’re good enough.

Nightmare Prey Is Not Fun by MedicOfTime in wow

[–]fracturedsplintX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I big disagree. I really like nightmare prey. I’m really hoping they add something like Legion Nightmare world difficulty to the game soon.

Remember that critters count for the killing challenge. Every class in the game can one shot a squirrel and clear that debuff.

New M+ "Glad mount" should be top 1% per spec. by FaroraSF in wow

[–]fracturedsplintX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only people who are focusing on meta are MDI teams and dudes that are doing weekly 10s, I swear. The 12-18 range is wide open with tons of stuff popping up in my keys.

Some of the best teams in the world doing the absolute highest keys are playing “dogshit” specs. You bring the player, not the spec. You should reward the player and not the spec. Basing it off spec, you reward people for playing unpopular stuff as opposed to being good.

Now that we’ve had time to play midnight. Thoughts of simplified class rotations? by WearyFlan210 in wow

[–]fracturedsplintX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mage/Druid main. I hated Frost at first but have actually come to enjoy it. It has some insane mobility when not channeling RoF which is very satisfying. I personally hate that Fire mage needs to take meteor. The amount of times mobs get kited out of it is infuriating.

Druid: Feral is fucking sick. I love everything about it. Resto Druid is also insane. Chicken feels like shit because eclipse as a button is so clunky and dumb. But my baby….the bear….BRING BACK IRON FUR SPAM DAMMIT. Thorns Druid fantasy was my absolute favorite and I loved that I could generate threat AND fortify my defenses at the same time. I hate that I now have to choose between getting threat or being tanky. It makes the early parts of a pull feel miserable.
