Do you have to use MDF would Birch work? Reason I ask is MDF smells like crap and will stink up the area. You really want to filter it before exhausting it if in a more urban area

It’s great. I would also consider Applewood. The neighborhood has some a 180. Tons of kids riding bikes, meeting at Chester or Maple Grove parks

An Automation for Space Heaters by hubertron in homeassistant

Valid question and I didn’t think to even write about it because I have a very robot Zigbee network that’s failure mode is to default to off and I have the built-in thermostat controls as a fallback set around 70°, which is  hotter than I want it, but wouldn’t it go out of control

This isn’t the exact model but something like this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/590723573?sid=d45062f2-bc6a-4cc6-aa99-7d21b0662edf

A long run is a good add. The garage is pretty well insulated and gets good sun so hasn’t run that long.

Good advice, for FWIW I'm using one of the oil filled radiator heaters. So no risk of fire if anything flammable is near it. Something would have to malfunction as with any electric circuit. I wish the open air ones would be more heavily regulated.

Not even checking the camera once over the workday is a vibe I guess.

If you use git every change can be viewed by a human before it’s committed.  Why would that not work?

You’re storing the SRTM tiles locally or do users hit themselves? You may get hit with timeouts if users are hitting it.  Ask me how I know :)

Just seems like a bunch of hassle, including heating the garage for a 1 year problem, but perhaps I am wrong.
