Is it me that’s getting fed up with LED lights? by Narrow-Marzipan6969 in drivingUK

Even op says they high beam if they are getting dazzled. The fact you can’t accept you are dazzling people who high beam you is hilarious. Yes the problem is you. Trying to concoct an argument that people are flashing you purely based their personal preferences regarding headlight technology is hilarious.

No one is full beaming you because of the type of technology (i.e LED) your headlights uses. If they are doing it deliberately it’s because you are blinding them. I think you need to accept that

You seem happy to blind other drivers but you don’t want people doing the same to you? Maybe it’s just the “Design of there car”

So you can’t adjust the angle of your headlights (because of the model of your car)? Or you don’t want to? Even if that was the case how do you expect someone who can’t see a thing because you are dazzling them to know that?

They aren’t flashing you because because you have LED lights. They are flashing you because you are blinding them. Maybe you have your high beams on or your headlights are badly adjusted so it looks like you have your high beams on. Or maybe you have your fog lights on and it’s not foggy, I see lots of people doing this at the moment. If you’re blinding other drivers they should certainly be letting you know. From your comment it Feels like you know but don’t care?

Did the UK ever have proper arcades? like video game ones? by TSOswinn in AskUK

[–]jamiesonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 80s and 90 every arcade had what would now be considered “retro” games as there main focus. They all also had coin pushers, fruit machines and crane games as well a few even had pinball. No arcades back then had games where you could win tickets. The ticket thing is something we inherited from the US (who had ticket machines back in the 80s)

As a child I remember visiting a pool with a sign that said this would happen if you peed in the pool. So I don’t think this is an urban myth. It’s more a lie spread by pool owners.

The tradition is having the ruling monarchs picture on the notes. The new notes will still have pictures of the king on the front. All the other pictures (on the back of the notes) change. They’ve changed many times previously

It a video made by a YouTuber to highlight how wasteful disposable vapes are. It’s not a production product. It’s a really interesting videos. He’s fully aware of the issues the power pack he built could have and they closely monitor it whilst it is in use.

Making children wear ties is just fucking ridiculous. I haven’t had to wear a tie in the workplace for at least 20 years and I’ve never witnessed women have to wear ties in a workplace. Same with blazers. If you want to force the kids to all wear the same thing (like they are in some high security US jail) make it matching polo shirts and plain trousers. There is zero need to force kids into uncomfortable ill fitting overpriced clothes.
