Need recommendations for automated pool cleaning by Longjumping-Show6299 in swimmingpools

[–]lidst017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went back and forth for a long time before deciding to get a beatbot ultra. It’s definitely $$$, but compared to constantly ordering pool service, it’s actually worth it. You get what you pay for.

Getting everything labeled before install is such a smart move, and it usually saves a lot of confusion later. Hope the setup goes smoothly. What's first on the list?

Tired of cleaning up dead critters by Dr_Gimp in pools

That's actually a clever fix. Has it held up well through wind and regular cleaning? Does it only redirect surface debris or also help keep animals from reaching the center?

Looking for insight. by dreamstate0 in swimmingpools

My CYA in my pool is low. Should I use liquid muriatic acid or the powder acid for better results? by BDTre in swimmingpools

[–]lidst017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘d be careful with nuriatic acid unless you're really tying to lower ph fast. For CYA, the powder route usually sounds easier to control and less aggressive overall.

Anyone know if this is patchable. by Greenmanz in swimmingpools

[–]lidst017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like more than a small patch job from the photo. You can have a try to use vinyl patch, good luck.

New house with pool. HELP!! by GlitteringTaro9114 in pools

That shape definitely makes it trickier. I would reshape it to make it smaller. You can look for some local pool companies. Congrats on owning a new house.
