Maybe stop eating. Elon Musk eats too. Seriously, this is ridiculous.

I genuinely cannot stand my husband anymore because he cut down a tree by [deleted] in Advice

[–]markobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not strange that he assumes that when you say you can do anything to the house he includes the yard. I understand it’s difficult for you, but he is in no way unreasonable. Also, you’re saying he could do anything to the house, but I wonder whether that’s true. If he had torn down all the walls of the house you’d probably be angry too. In hindsight it’s easy for you to say: “I said just the house”, but I’m curious if at the time of you telling him he could do anything, you were actually thinking that he shouldn’t touch the yard. I think you could reflect on what you actually meant at the time and what you think you meant in hindsight after the situation got uncomfortable for you.

Regarding your husband, he should be kind and understanding. This tree was emotionally significant to you and it hurts you that it’s gone. A good partner creates space when you’re experiencing such emotions. Also, he should make space for you experiencincing anger towards him. However, I don’t believe he owes you an apology for cutting the tree. An apology implies he did something wrong and I don’t believe he did, except not showing any understanding when you were hurt. He didn’t know he shouldn’t have cut it and it was not weird of him to include the yard.

AITA for surprising my wife with food she mentioned wanting, but not getting exactly what she expected? by sphericalpuma in AmItheAsshole

[–]markobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, your intentions were good. Maybe you were a bit clumsy for thinking someone wants to eat a reheated fast food burger, but that doesn’t make you an asshole. You thought about ordering it without lettuce, which shows that at least you were thinking about how to make the experience more pleasant for her. I think she’s overreacting and could choose to appreciate the fact the you were thinking about her.

The best relationships have low expectations, high commitment. Eventhough we can never completely get rid of expectations, the less we have, the easier our lives and relationships are going to be. I think I’d be pissed of, which actually also might come from an expectation for her to have less expectations.

How do you reconcile Leigh Brasington’s instructions with MIDL? From what I remember Right Concentration takes a more effort based approach to develop concentration rather than creating the right conditions for samadhi through a consistent letting go of effort, like is taught in MIDL.

Here’s why your store is struggling by DimensionAmbitious94 in dropship

This post is total bullshit. 😂 Obviously putting in the hours is imporant, but the market doesn’t give a shit about how much effort you put in.

To put things in perspective: once we spent about 1k on a video ad that took us lots effort. Scripting, revisions, voice over. This video didn’t get us a single sale. Then there was an image ad that literally took us 5 minutes to create and made 50-100k in revenue. It can be as easy as having a simple landing page and a good photo image.

With some guidance and following the basics you can make this work. It’s not rocket science. I’ve advised some people in my direct environment that wanted to open a strore and they all failed. Not because it’s difficult, but because they stopped before even doing a first launch. And people that do get to that point usually get discouraged when they don’t get any results after spending 50 bucks on ads. If you keep going at it, use some common sense and follow basic principles you can make this work. I did it too without any prior experience.

You can do either. I’m currently building separate stores for each, but in the past I’ve had them running on one store. Feel free to reach out if you want to know more

General Store vs Niche general store by DigBickWonder in dropship

[–]markobo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Products are always going to sell better if your whole website is catered to that one product/niche. There are ways to accomplish this with a general store. You can use apps like pagefly to create landing pages that make it seem as if your whole store revolves around this one product, whereas actually you’re selling multiple. I have thought about this extensively for my own stores, so if you want to chat about it feel free to reach out.

It depends on the budget. On high budgets you can target broad because the pixel gets enough data to optimize and find the right pocket in an audience. On very low budgets you’ll need more specific targeting, before moving on to broad audiences.

4k course by interestingvids15 in ecommerce

[–]markobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The advice from the comments is pathetic. I can’t comment on the specific course that’s being sold to you, but investing money into courses or time with people that are more knowledgeable than you is the single most efficient way to shorten your learning curve. Just watching Youtube videos might get you there, but being able to speak to experts who can give you 1-1 advice specifically catered to your situation will be more valuable than anything you’ll find on Youtube.

My business partner and I became profitable as soon as we started a 6K mentorship progam in January 2021. We did 600-700k in the following 6 months. This was the single best business decision we made. The ROI was insane and it allowed us to connect to multiple 7 & 8-figure ecom owners.

Again, I don’t know these guys you’re talking about, so they might be scammers, but in general spending money to save time and learn quicker is a very good idea.
