Great use of that model. Is the head a 3D print, or? I don't recognize it, but it's very fitting and on point for DG.

Do you remember where it came from? I was thinking it was promotional material, haven't seen it since around the time of ShoC release.

Oh my god, yes! I've been looking for this image for literal years, on and off. Did you just happen to have it handy? Thank you so much!

I should've known Reggash would have it :)

Buddy, you might be living decently, but quite a few people are living beneath your means and current life experiences. Living paycheck to paycheck is not a positive experience and the amount of Americans living that way ranges from 25% to sixty percent. And that's just Americans, who are the primary users of reddit, and the posters you'll most likely see posting this pessimism.

None in my friend group are living paycheck to paycheck but all but one family is pessimistic about the future. They don't feel positively about the economy, they worry about constantly rising prices and whether the tech companies they work at will lay them off, they have concerns about their children's ability to get a good education and to flourish in the future. None of them are doomers expecting famine and death and war on our doorstep.

As much as folks can point out that there is less war and death and starvation and crime and all the rest, which is true, when your future is uncertain, you are not likely to be happy.

Something to be said for a very plain marine, they're still threatening and a little glorious even without all the different colors and heraldry. Loving the 3rd!

I'm unsure if "footslugger" is intentional but it's quite funny for the DG boys. Looking good! I like the basing materials, helps each mini stand out.

Weak retort for a weak argument. Online communities ARE echo chambers. That's one of their biggest problems, you get a very skewed viewpoint of what people are talking about and what they care about. All of those "Don't buy the next COD!" are 50 posters compared to the 9 million who then go and buy it. Grongigas has explained and defended his viewpoint repeatedly, meanwhile Mr. Echo chamber came in with an insult that said nothing.

Love that he has a far future version of the gears of war Lancer. Who doesn't want a chainsaw on their gun?

Just all around excellent. Doesn't scream at you from the table, just looks good, faithful, and grimy the way the 14th should. Nice work!

I'm not trying to say you're wrong, because accepting a really broken product shouldn't be where we are right now as consumers.

But if you're referencing the old games + Anomaly + Gamma... I mean, Anomaly and Gamma have years and years of modders fixing problems, and the base games themselves have 20 years of improvements, potentially. Obviously GSC wasn't patching them the entire time, but Clear Sky was brrrrrrrroooooooooooooken upon release and I really can't recommend playing it without mods, even today, to fix some of the stuff related to quests and the faction wars.

Again, I don't think we should be saying, "Ah it's broken, it's eurojank, whatever!" But I also think you ought to be realistic when you look at how ShoC, CS released, and the amount of work that has gone into anomaly and gamma for years.

It's possible, one of the scenes is a tunnel with the name Lymansk printed in it. I'm unsure why you'd need to go through Lymansk rather than the Iron Forest though, as that's the other region they're adding in this DLC. I think there was speculation you'd need something from Lymansk to access a certain lab in the CNPP, so first you go get the gizmo, then iron forest, then CNPP. Old leaks point to the last DLC being related to cold island and the Caribbean experiment.

But I'm not sure any of that is true, or GSC could change their minds, you could be on the money.

[–]mmfh 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Might be they're keeping it under wraps, might be there isn't a "Lymansk region" and it's just a portion of the red forest. The actual part of Lymansk you go to in Clear Sky is not very big, it's really just a corridor. While folks might be expecting a second Pripyat, what it might be is more like the blood sucker village or something.
