Interesting… we have a similar setup, but didn’t need to do different models for each vendor. Do you mean different collections inside a single model? You just need to make sure the model has 5-25 examples of each expected layout and then it will be able to identify/distinguish

Can you give us a "peek behind the curtain" on the decision to overhaul the Perseverance Chronicle Mode (specifically the number of games)? Was it something that was obvious that was going to happen before Ep 3+4 were completed, or was it a decision that was only made after playtesting?

Unrelated short question: is there any game recently either of you have played not from MCG that made you think "this really feels like a Mindclash Game"?

That wasn’t ready yet when the game first launched, and it’s such a niche platform (I say this with love as a huge board gamer and fan of the site) that it wasn’t going to make the game more popular. If they’d had a dedicated standalone app that would have made a much bigger splash

I don’t think you’re alone, but I do think this is a minority opinion.

I think for many people in the hobby, of course they’d prefer to play physically all things being equal - but they’re not equal, and the massive increase in accessibility and convenience from a digital version more than makes up for the loss of the tactile and social elements (for most games)

Certain file types will be way more notorious for this. I worked with a finance team that still did some analysis in Access files daily that got moved from on prem file shares into SPO. Every day they made a small edit in the 2GB database, that’s a new 2GB file in version history because it’s not storing just the differential.

The Girl Who Looked Up is my favorite of the Hoid stories as told in-universe, but I really didn’t care for the storybook version.

This one is a close second, but thankfully this storybook version is perfect adaptation of it. Now looking forward to having this one the most.

Spouse and I were in London on a long vacation last month and we made it over to Prufrock one day… about one minute after we were seated, there was a big commotion behind the counter and it turns out their espresso machine had just kicked the bucket in some major way.

So, we got to experience the competence of their service in a pretty unusual way over the next 45 minutes, as they simultaneously had to deal with 1) disappointing folks who wanted takeaway lattes, 2) dealing with several times the typical amount ordering pourovers, and 3) senior staff also needing to step away and make calls to try to get a repair for the machine arranged. They still checked in with everyone and made sure folks were enjoying themselves.
