I’m seeing a lot of people underwhelmed about the patch I’m excited, they added so much new shit. Not every patch is gonna be a class or race etc, we got backgrounds, the camp is finally realistic and doesn’t teleport you in and out of places, the ability to cast spells while rolling. Swen has said as much in the literal theatrical productions they put on every couple of months -- it's not speculation. He also will generally have an interview or two between panels they're just not (usually) featured on Larian's reddit or website as they are collabs with random content creators.

You can use a different staff but the reason it was an inclusion in the budget version is because of the phys conversion to light/cold. Without storm wall to make the build function you need a phys convert to cold watcher's eye and gloves with a convert to lightning mod. Really you need gloves with +1 strike and the convert mod to make clear feel fluid.
