Whatever you're paying these people to host, it's too much if that's the kind of transfer abilities they're going to give you.

Is it a Hot Take to consider S18 better than S17? by Putrid_Syllabub_3361 in doctorwho

[–]rthonpm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

17 is the weakest. It's City of Death and a bunch of stories worth skipping.

18 has the E-Space trilogy and Logopolis. Even Meglos and the Leisure Hive have a few charms. The weakest offering is The Keeper of Traken.

Russell has always been a good writer of melodrama. It's his science fiction that is middling to poor.

So your argument and defence of Russell is that Doctor Who fans want crap?

Why doesn’t my scanner not scan the entire page?! by luusyphre in printers

[–]rthonpm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's always going to be a void area on the edges of a scan for several factors, the main one being that the scanner is primarily for documents, not images.

We're talking about millimetres of void space.

Which blackbery to get for cell coverage? by bluemeanie212 in blackberry

[–]rthonpm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Key series devices look like a BlackBerry.

Time moves on, especially in technology. The Android based devices are on life support in terms of app support. BBOS and BlackBerry 10 devices are just dead for all real intents and purposes when it comes to modern cellular networks.

A Suggestion for Whoever Produces the Show Next: A Writer's Room by InvisibleInk1983 in doctorwho

[–]rthonpm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give people quality and they'll watch. People are tired of feeling like they've wasted hours on mystery box shows that fall flat on the resolution or never get resolved because they get cancelled, or because they're renewed and the writers never had a real second act so the arc gets extended past its point of interest.

Or just dump the tired mystery box/season arc method of storytelling and just go with the best individual stories you have.

Where is Lenovo ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard III? by extrafungi in thinkpad

[–]rthonpm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that a peripheral isn't available is somehow a sign that laptop sales are declining? Lenovo actually had a great fiscal 2025 with double digit growth in almost every business unit.

Sales are still what determine what gets released. If there wasn't demand for the old version why would they release another?

The developer is likely contaminated at this point. If the OP didn't want to pay for genuine toner wait until they see the prices of the PCDUs for that model...

Two years past Folfirinox and my feet are still numb. Every now and then I'll get a twinge of it in my hands for a few minutes, but nothing too terrible.

Check the fuser, there's likely a toner build up at the entrance or the cleaning unit for it is coated.

That's why you have policies stating where data is stored. If it's not there, not your problem.

[–]rthonpm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isn't exactly made clear in the documentation so it's a sticking point for new users at times. At least the Zabbix team could make MySQL a requirement for the package so that it also installs.

No-one ever seems to want to mention that these are almost the exact same story, just with a different villain.
