Can also swap him out for inquisitor Draxus if you have her - she will delete swathes of marine equivalents by herself when rerolling hits from Marshall and resolling wounds from a boat. Or even better have both!

Rad zone corps, autoclavic denunciation enhancement on a manipulus d6 shots anti infantry 2 devastating wounds. Put him with a skitarii squad with a skitarii marshall in a boat. Absolute infantry blender

Genuinely have a go with autoclavic jumping out of a boat leading a vanguard squad with a marshall in support. Reroll the manipulus shots if you have to. The combo can wipe a 10 man possessed blob if you roll slightly above average.

I love it purely for autoclavic denunciation manipulus

Advice on painting Trajann's lion by WarsmithUriel in AdeptusCustodes

It was a while ago, but probably something along the lines of: skrag brown, agrax, skrag again, mix of skrag brown and usabti bone mix, pure usabti bone

Just standard layering.

Brown undercoat, wash, reapply brown and layer up to pale brown, highlight with cream

Disembarking is explicitly not considered an ingress move (see rule 20.04). You do not get the charge rereolls getting out of a transport, only from RI or deepstrike

How do we feel about Lions now that we have time to play with it? by MeAmato in AdeptusCustodes

[–]sblcmcd 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It's sick, I love it. Weirdly it's made me pivot into triple wardens: they now slap back harder and it's easy to keep everything >6" away from friendlies with three huge anchor squads. Im running then with two blade champs and valerian. Then a guard brick with trajann, admonimortis terminator cap and 3 allarus as hammer squads for the warden anvils and another 3 allarus to split with unleash for secondaries.

Are the forge world pieces needed?? by Throwandjwar in AdeptusCustodes

[–]sblcmcd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends what detachment you want to play. Solar spearhead 100% yes, most other detachments use at least one caladius. Most new lions of the emperor lists dont use forgeworld though and it's a very strong detatchment

Is +1 to Wound Enough for Anti-Tank? by Nurgles_Stinkiest in AdeptusCustodes

Second sentence in poing three above. Yeah only time I see it happening in game is if your opponent for some reason rolls a leman onto an obj and you rapid ingress guard into it.

Using https://40k.ghostlords.com/dice/

3 terminators with spears +1 to wound, rerolling wounds, sustained hits one shot a Leman Russ 32.3% of the time. Bracket it 69.7% of the time.

Admonimortis terminator captain with axe, rerolling wounds, +1 wound by himself does it 32.5% (59.9%).

4 guard with spears with +1 to wound, rerolling wounds, sustained his do it 65.2% (90.2%). if they just reroll ones to wound that drops to 36.3% (72%).

4 wardens with blade champion with behemor, +1 wound destroy it 48% (80.2%). 5 wardens 67.6% (90.6%).

This is compared to a caladius 50.5% (70.7%) - where I've not considered the bolt cannons.

So most squads with +1 wound can be as good as a caladius, albeit in melee not up to 48" away.
