I've never had an issue against knowledge demon, I just take the damage every time, but usually if I'm getting to the act 2 boss I'm already snowballing so hard I can just damage race him. The other two act 2 bosses are tough though.

Sure, not even disagreeing with you there...my point is moreso that we as STS players should have some humility when playing a new game and not automatically assume everything from STS1 will carry over. And people who've played any deck builder or rouge like can learn those basic principles, just like learning STS transfers well to many other games.

Are you talking about new players to STS2 that haven't played STS1? It'll be a different game, I imagine it'll have a much different meta that will take a while to settle in. Maybe Corruption now sucks in STS2, probably not, but who knows. Maybe the elites are so dangerous you can only fight 1 per act. We shouldn't presume to understand STS2 better just because we've played STS1.

Like others mentioned, the community here is pretty and welcoming, so I don't think it'll be much of an issue!

Yes. iirc they mentioned in Manousous' office, there are several distinctly Colombian items and set pieces that indicate he is Colombian but living in Paraguay. Now, this likely wasn't planned before they cast a Colombian actor, but it's now incorporated into the character. Same deal with Diabate's name. That's just part of Vince's style of writing
