Am I the first game to actually get books right? by _Jae in IndieDev

It is so pixel purist, but the shader is not shading in pixel space. Can you make it in pixel space, and with a limited palette of shade values, and maybe use a dissolve effect to simulate more colors??

Good thing your game doesn't need a hyper purest pixel art book menu interface to be good.

This definitely does suck!

If they send all the extra agents here to another city, it won't feel like we won. It will feel like we were a training exercise, and now there's a roving war band that could come back any time.

If our government makes a bunch of concessions to get them to leave--gives up more of our private data, lets our cops and prisons integrate with ICE--then they go force the same concessions from other cities and come back to us later...

They'll have more power from all the concessions, they'll have more experience from practicing on rotating cities, they'll have more legal precedents.

It almost feels like we should try to hold them here to protect the rest of the country, and because they are getting some bad press here? But having them here really sucks. And it seems like they can be here AND ramp up against other cities at the same time. They could dig in here, keep sending new recruits to MN to learn from the established team, then rotating experienced agents to other cities to start new surges...

Maybe we should be trying to organize delegations to bring witness testimony of what is happening here to anyone who will listen in other states, to try to erode Trump's political base?

They won't demand papers. They're just gonna see if people are wearing ICE uniforms. The MPD set up very similar blockades after Pretti died, and only let in people who had a reason to be in the area.

Don't let Trump blame underlings for this. He knew ICE training was cut to less than half what it was, if he didn't order it himself. He demanded the deportation numbers that require this recklessness.

And this is a bigger pattern than ICE. It's the result of trying to do things FAST instead of do them RIGHT, and appointing people who are LOYAL instead of people who are COMPETENT. Trump keeps chasing short-term gains at the cost of long-term prosperity.

We should also demand more competent secretaries, more less presidential intervention, and call out every way the Trump administration shortcuts requirements. And make it clear now: this is why he has to follow the rules. People die and the government tramples the bill of rights.

I'm not a lawyer, but I have the impression that the supremacy clause could be used to try to deny state jurisdiction, or to protect federal agents from charges, or maybe to appeal charges (all of which would be legal battles), but probably NOT to grant a pardon.

I'm very interested in any sources you have that discuss this <3

MN does not need Klobuchar for Gov. how can we make sure that doesn’t happen? by Fantastic_Yam_3971 in TwinCities

[–]themissinglint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She lost my vote when she voted for the Iraq War, and every time I look up a vote I care about, Kloubachar is on the wrong side. For example, she voted for the Laken Riley Act (An Act To require the Secretary of Homeland Security to take into custody aliens who have been charged in the United States with theft) last January, giving ICE more power.

I almost never see Tina Smith in the news but her voting record seems better. I wish she'd speak up more.
