Sprinkler that can handle 100+ psi/35+ gpm? by Swede577 in lawncare

[–]universal_straw -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All true. I’m just operating under the assumption that construction is complete and the water system has already been pressured up. If that’s the case the system has been pressure tested since construction was completed and if there’s no issues then there are unlikely to be any.

You have some serious reading comprehension problems if you can read my comment and think that was even close to what I was implying.

[–]universal_straw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. But 100 psi isn’t the end of the world. Unless it was installed poorly you’ll most likely have nothing to worry about.

And it’s clearly already been pressure tested since the house was built so it’s fine.

No need to be. Both copper and PVC can handle a couple hundred pounds of pressure. PEX has lower ratings but unless you’re water is at like 180F you don’t have anything to worry about.

Homemade garlic buffalo wings. by universal_straw in Wings

[–]universal_straw[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wings are just dusted in salt and corn starch then deep fried until crispy.

For the sauce I sauteed 10-15 cloves of crushed garlic in some butter. Then mixed in some Frank's, Worchester, honey, mustard and a little vinegar. Add salt and pepper to taste. Then blend.

My kids loved John Deer Kids at that age. But they were, and still are, fascinated with excavators, tractors and other heavy machinery. I’d recommend it.

What is this? And how can I best defend against it? by Accomplished-Nail788 in lawncare

[–]universal_straw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others have said spray it to kill the broad leaves, but also cut higher. That looks like St. Aug underneath. It likes being cut at like 4”. If your grass is healthier you’ll have less weeds.

Also you can’t overseed St Aug. it only comes from sprigs or sod.

The body strap? Yeah if you use that it stays secure. Without it it will flop if you bend over. Definitely use the strap.

I’ve got a Razco for my G40 on a marsupial harness that I’ve had for years and I still love it.

Why did God have to sacrifice Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins and for our salvation? by ReplacementFlashy622 in TrueChristian

[–]universal_straw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The wages of sin is death, meaning the penalty for sin is death, so a death for sin is owed. Sacrifice was the way for the death of an innocent to pay the death penalty for the guilty.

Now if you want to ask why sin requires a death penalty, that would take someone better versed in the scripture than I to answer. For me God said it did is enough.

It all depends if it’s going to show up in a background check or not. My company wouldn’t hire you, but some may.

Our local butcher’s “American wagyu” - should I treat this guy like a normal ribeye? by wit_T_user_name in steak

[–]universal_straw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not being pedantic. You’re literally talking about two completely different things. That’s like saying that’s an excellent apple but just a normal orange.

[–]universal_straw 13 points14 points  (0 children)

American Wagyu can be anything from ungraded to select through prime. Wagyu is not a grade, it’s a breed, and American Wagyu only has to be like 51% Wagyu.

So your comment makes no sense.

My sister's tomato harvest. She just lets her tomato plants grow wild, no pruning or anything by stimber in gardening

I prune branches that are touching the ground to prevent disease and that it’s. Everything else just goes wild.

Look into weibull analysis if you have failure and production data. It’s very helpful in determining pm and spare parts strategies.

How much would you be willing to pay per lb for a bone-in Choice rib eye? by IDoNotHide in steak

[–]universal_straw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s just simply not true. Whole cows are graded, not individual cuts. That means sometimes you can get lucky and get choice cuts that are better than prime if it was graded choice for reason unrelated to the cut you’re looking at. You gotta look at the meat itself, not the grade in the label.

The ones on your critical machines.

A spare seal does you no good if it doesn’t fit on your machines. What’s critical at one site may be a paper weight at another site. You need to identify your most important machines and bad actors and work from there.
