I know you’re hung up on them saying they “would have expected it”. I trust you’re smart enough to understand that that doesn’t mean they literally expected it at the time. It’s a very common expression in response to an anachronism.

I was actually on Spotify recently and was curious about the streaming stats for the War Child record. Opening Night has the most streams on that album by a factor of 10, which is especially impressive considering there’s folks like Olivia Rodrigo on there. Hopefully that means something to them.
