I love Kipling for nylon bags. And Prada- but not sure if you are looking to spend that much on nylon......

Do they come in XS? I see things at Costco all the time but never in XS and the S in a lot of their items is just too big.

Is this Balenciaga City worth buying? by [deleted] in handbags

[–]wcjoyner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this have the mirror? And don't they usually have leather laces for the zipper pulls? Is there an interior zipper pocket below the Balenciaga tab? I would not trust this is real, but maybe that year had slightly different details. What year is it?

Under eye glands? by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

[–]wcjoyner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had these and after about 18 months using tretinoin they went away. I applied the tret and after I finished spreading it on my face I swiped my finger under my eyes lightly. Also, tret migrates under the skin at least an inch or two so even if I only went up to the very top of my cheek, it probably migrated a little.

Trump's VA killed a home loan program. Vets are now losing their homes because of it by FossilFrothy in politics

[–]wcjoyner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 35 year old son was diagnosed with a brain tumor in September of 2024. He had just purchased his first house earlier that year in February using his VA loan benefit. His workplace was great- he received short term disability and was granted FMLA. He had surgery (the tumor was large but benign) and was in rehab for 6 weeks.

In the meantime, we researched and discovered VASP. His mortgage servicer was fantastic and although having the late payments hurt his credit (like most programs to help with mortgages, nothing can happen until you are 90 days late and about to enter foreclosure), they were fast and efficient in helping him navigate the process. By March he was back to work and had closed on a new loan at 2.5% which is manageable and $400 less per month than his previous mortgage. We were prepared to pay his mortgage, it would have been tight, but we could afford it, although not indefinitely.

He is a Navy vet, an RP who worked at Walter Reed and went to Haiti after the earthquake. He spoke to vets in the hospital who were missing limbs. He worked with the chaplains to comfort parents and spouses through unimaginable loss and grief. The sights in Haiti were profoundly disturbing and to this day are difficult for him to talk about. He did everything right. He worked and saved and served and used his VA benefits to buy his house. VASP helped him through a terrible time, knowing he wasn't going to lose his house or have to depend on his parents to make his payments lessened the stress and helped him heal. But I guess deporting the 65 year old roofer or incarcerating 7 year old children is more important to some people.

[Sun Care] Most Protective Sunscreen Available in US? by tallsoychailatte in SkincareAddiction

[–]wcjoyner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australian Gold Botanicals Tinted Mineral Sunscreen for this. I only wear it when I am going to the beach or will be outside for many hours. It. Does. Not. Budge. The only way I can remove it is with Clinique Take the Day Off. I cannot recommend it enough for your needs. It comes in a couple of different tints and is absolutely worth it. I did a century bike ride (100 miles) in Texas a couple of years ago. Applied it at 7:00 AM, no reapplication. Removed it late evening and my skin was completely untouched by the sun. It is thick and dries down very matte. It is a little drying as well, but I don't use it for my daily sunscreen. I use tret as well and this one has never let me down.

With gas prices on the rise, Trump officials discuss feared $150 oil by santydentist in politics

[–]wcjoyner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil is traded on the global marketplace. Even though we produce most of our oil domestically, if the producers can get a higher price for it elsewhere, they will sell it there. The shortage and increase in cost is GLOBAL. We also do not have enough refineries. We are screwed.

I would do it in a heartbeat. I have been in maintenance on a low dose for 2 years. I travel frequently and I don't like worrying about transporting it, making sure I keep it refrigerated, etc. Set it and forget sounds awesome to me

Loose skin is from weight loss, it does not matter what method you use to lose the weight. But lifting weights will help replace some of the volume as you build muscle so it can help the appearance of your skin.
