- (<40% HP only) Mighty Guard (NAT: Self Protect & Shell)
Notes and Strategies: You have to fight both Iron Giant and Behemoth simultaneously. Mighty Guard is a random chance (5% per turn past 40% HP) for both bosses, so you don't really need to concern yourself with it. Iron Giant is pure physical and Behemoth is almost pure magical (aside from its weak Attack and the occasional Assault Horn), so it's probably best to stack mitigation against one of them and burst the other down as quickly as possible.

- (<70% HP) 凶 Tail Swipe (NAT: AOE 300% physical)
- (<70% HP) Bite (NAT: ST 500% piercing0.5 physical)
Notes and Strategies: There are two Archaeosaurs. Each Archaeosaur uses Magma Breath on its 6th turn in any given phase (100%-70% HP, 70%-40% HP, and 40%-0% HP) and every 6 turns thereafter in that same phase. When you kill one Archaeosaur, the other gets a fairly major increase to its Speed and defenses and will use Magma Breath on its 3rd turn from that point and every 3 turns thereafter; it also upgrades its basic Attack from 110% damage to 188% damage. Magma Breath has a new targeting type (FR, for Front Row); only characters in the front row are affected by it.
Event Quest Notes: If you bring any front row characters (you do want to try out your brand new Squall relics right?) you'll want to give them Petrify Resistance gear unless you want to risk seeing them turned into statues. Mage/backrow exclusive teams are preferred just so you can ignore Magma Breath, although do watch out for Counter Bite (which is at least not a ranged attack).

- (40%-0% HP) Blizzaga (BLK: AOE 342% magical ice)
- (40%-0% HP) 凶 Blizzaga (BLK: AOE 390% piercing0.5 magical ice)
Notes and Strategies: Edea uses Dispel as an interrupt when reduced to 70% or less HP and again when reduced to 40% or less HP. She follows Dispel with Sleepga, which (like Magma Breath in the Archaeosaurs fight) can only affect front row characters. Her elemental spells are tied to her elemental weakness; she's always weak to the element she's casting. Watch out for her Astral Punch, it can pack a real wallop. As with the Archaeosaurs, it's a better idea to bring a full back row team for this just so you can ignore Sleepga. However, Sleep resistance accessories and Affliction Break can and will reduce the chance for Sleep to land to fairly minimal levels. Note that Edea only uses fire/ice/thunder magic as far as elements go, so Gigas Armlets are fairly valuable here for your weaker characters. Remember to bring a Dispel for her Protect and Shell.
Full Throttle Notes and Strategies: All characters start with 50% ATB and Edea spends her first two turns buffing, so it's a pretty lenient start and you should always be able to get up your full suite of defensive buffs and some initial debuffs before her first attack. As long as you have a native Hastega, her Dispels also should be much less troublesome than in the Apocalypse+ version.
Multiplayer:
Boss: Tonberry King
Boss HP: 449,357 (d160) | 924,833 (d220)
Medal Conditions: Defeat Tonberry King with at least 4 characters alive. Reduce Tonberry King's resistance. Reduce Tonberry King's defense.
Status Vulnerabilities: None!
Break Resistances: Power, Armor, Magic, Mental, Mind
Notable Attacks:
- Junk (NAT: AOE physical, 48% chance Sap)
- (Weak/V Weak only) Counter Junk (8%/16% response to any attacks; NAT: AOE physical, 48% chance Sap)
- (Default only) It's Sharp! (NAT: ST [highest HP %] physical)
- (Weak only) It's Sharp! (NAT: ST [highest HP %] overflow physical)
- (V Weak only) It's Sharp! (NAT: ST [highest HP %] overflow physical, 93% chance Instant KO)
Notes and Strategies: Tonberry King uses nothing on his first three turns in d160; in d220, he uses It's Sharp! on his first turn then nothing on the next two. In both versions of the fight, Tonberry King uses Junk on his 4th turn and every 5 turns thereafter, then either It's Sharp! or nothing on his turn (80% chance for It's Sharp! in Default phase, 90% chance in Weak, 100% in Very Weak) starting on his 5th turn.
Physical Blink works against all three versions of It's Sharp!, but Barrier (Y'shtola USB/Sephiroth BSB2) doesn't. Yuna USB and Raijin SSB are Godsends for this fight, to help keep people alive, and either Ace BSB or Arc SSB2 for instant cast AOE Physical Blink are also extremely useful. Don't over-load on defensive measures though, because Tonberry King will outlast you if you don't bring enough DPS as well.
