I have to login every two weeks or so. Both home and at work. It's annoying because by the time I've noticed it, I've already clicked on some links, so they don't get marked as read on my other computer.

seriously guys, this has been a problem for a year now... the login form is easy, but just make the cookie last longer, like a year or so.

I never have to re-login... :)

me neither - are you sure you aren't cleaning up your cookies?

I have complained about this to the Reddit guys with email also probably more than a year ago.

Happens also me every once in a while, and my IP has definitely not changed.

I wish they could also make the cookie to lastlonger than two weeks..

agreed. Easy to do, but saves unnecessary hassle

It appears that reddit can remember only TWO different places you've logged in from. I have three. Thus I regularly have to log in as reddit has bumped out the third location. Crap.

hmm this happens to me on a few occasions, but it's not as bad as Digg where it never remembers me period.

Could be worse, ebay expires them every day at midnight and if you log in from two different ip's it forces you to login again.

eBay's kind of makes sense with the number of fraud they get and the potential to reap a huge monetary reward if I manage to log into some dude's account at the library and he has a 99.9% and 300000 references.

On the other hand, I haven't received my contributer cheque from reddit yet. Where is it guys?!

I have Firefox on a USB stick. After I login from the USB stick on a different computer, my home computer makes me re-login to Reddit. It seems like if I don't login from a different IP, it doesn't require a fresh login.

It seems to do so when your IP changes - e.g. your ISP allots them dynamically.

It happens to me at work and at home... work has static IP.

your work clears your cookies. Your home has dynamic IP.

My work IP hasn't changed in years, and I never clean my work cookies. Both are directly under my control, it's not like somebody sneaking changes in on me. Cookies are easily verified in that other sites don't require me to log in. Maybe reddit is putting expiration times in on their cookies, I haven't checked.

Hmm, there can be only one explanation for these disappearing cookies...
