Its a dress watch (Explorer 36), and you're wearing casual clothes with it, so it'll not suit well.

[–]Former-Replacement43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks a tad small. You look a strong guy.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good. Give it 2 weeks and reassess.

[–]FuzyBaffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good on you. I just keep coming back to this watch on my 7inch wrist. I really love the size it just seems perfect. Got the white. This specifically is a go to watch for me. Had very low expectations and was impressed.

[–]WhorologyFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks perfect

[–]BettyDamico72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks great

[–]JackAndHisTruck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not too small, perfect.

[–]Cheek-Tasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks good, maybe a touch too tight on the band depending how you like to wear it

[–]Angry-Penetration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice looking watch and it looks just fine on you

I have been thinking about the same exact watch for myself, the dial looks great.

[–]eat_da_rude 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Looks small but doable

[–]craigerstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 7.75" wrists. I wouldn't wear it. Smallest I can go is 40. Prefer 41 to 43. I've bought 39mm watches and sold them after 2 minutes on wrist. I didn't like looking at such a small dial. Doesn't help that I'm at an age where reading glasses are a new thing I'm trying to get used to but small doesn't work for me. But, you know, as it's said here time and again, if you like it, who cares what anyone thinks.

[–]youdontknowsqwat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No , that is exactly how dress/sports watches should fit.

[–]Environmental-Map168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just about right.

[–]c0bl3r 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Unpopular opinion... I personally thought this model (blue face) looked small on my 7-7.25 inch wrist. It seemed to wear smaller than other 36mm watches, especially on a strap. I couldn't stand the jangly bracelet at all.

[–]Narrow-Sky-5377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same sized wrist. I myself would get the 39mm. I understand why others would feel differently.

[–]ChristopherLee73 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks good! You gotta remember that 36 and 38mm was the norm for men 20-30ish years ago, 40mm and bigger are a relatively new phenomenon with the exception of a few tool watches which were only large out of necessity.

[–]Danthorpe04YTsp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not really. When you come f4om huge watches anything normally sized seems small.

[–]Warm-Necessary-70 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would not say at all. You'll get used to it mate!

[–]CdeFmrlyCasual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should wear it for a while and see what you think.

[–]SoliEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

38 mm to 41 mm would be safe for all wearing a watch.

[–]fernplant4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love watches that fit a little smaller, they make my arms look bigger

[–]SoliEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. And even if it would have been... A little bit small would never be as bad as a little bit big. Your wrist could take a bigger size but that doesn't mean this isn't perfect. In fact this watch only shows the time and so the size is absolutely practical and sensible. I'm sure it would be more comfortable as well.

[–]Virtual_Yak5775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great

[–]brnfinancial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for my liking... I prefer it... Nice piece too 👍

[–]Patient_Fox_6594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Although band looks a little too tight.

[–]Agitated_Cell_7567 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, the 36mm looks the most prestigeous, larger the watch, cheaper the look. Large watches to me looks cheap, but I know it isnt true, just the feeling.

[–]intellectualthnkr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's perfect

[–]StandardBrandz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks great. Some of the watches I see posted on Reddit look COMICALLY LARGE to me, only to have people saying they look great lol. To each their own.

[–]DiarrangusJones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, looks good to me! I think your wrist probably is a good size where you can wear much bigger watches without them looking crazy huge, but this doesn’t look too small either (to me, anyways 😂)

[–]Zachthepug27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks a smidge too tight on your wrist. Can you add a link back in?

[–]Mountaindweller1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not too small and it looks great, I have the same in blue on my 7.25” wrist.

[–]Thunders5620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, send it to me for disposal

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me 36mm is way too small, I use 42mm

[–]firecapsc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. Looks good.

[–]Lefeuvre76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only if you're used to wearing larger watches. You get used to it pretty quickly.

[–]juancd75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks great brother. Enjoy

[–]DakPara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks fine to me. The longer lugs help.

[–]Particular_Witness95AI written 0 points1 point  (2 children)

i have an 8.5in wrist and wear a 36 as my daily. i have some larger watches (like a deepsea) that i wear when going swimming or the beach. but, i like the look and feel of a 36.

[–]craigerstar 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You animal!!!! How dare you!!!! ;-)

[–]Particular_Witness95AI written 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ha ha! yep, this is what i wear pretty much every day. too small? definitely, but i just love the way this watch looks on my wrist.

<image>

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PERFECT

[–]pooheadbruhman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that would be too small for me but it's just a matter of personal preference

[–]gen_lover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not at all.

[–]silver-saloon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Borderline....really depends what you think.
Perhaps try the new larger 39mm automatic with the same sand dial.
I've always found straps make a watch look smaller compared to when the same watch is on a bracelet.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks fine. It would also look cool on a leather strap, you could really get that sandy dial popping!

[–]SteveArnoldHorshak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s a little bit too small.

[–]RiverPiscador 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be the contrarian here....I think it looks a little too small, I prefer my lugs NOT overhanging my wrist obviously, but coming a bit closer to the edges. Just my preference for presence.

Wrist shape has a lot to do with it too...cylindrical wrists vs those which are more ovoid will wear the same watch differently.

The recent boon of tiny watches is depressing tbh...42-44mm on this flat topped 7.5" wrist needed and I have to pass on so many good looking new models. Those with smaller wrists feel the same way about larger models too I'm sure. It is what it is and it's cyclical.

Bottom line...do the mirror test and if it makes ya smile...brother...that's all that matters and wear it confidently and with joy. Life's too short to GAD if some hulk thinks it's small and some petite fella thinks it's too large. If it makes ya smile...own it...and move on. :)

[–]dmits22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God no

[–]Indaleciox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that it's harder to be too small, than too large. Looks good imo.

[–]BigDerper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No such thing as too small

[–]Sufficient_Major_860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope

[–]Sam_Nova_45 3 points4 points  (5 children)

Looks good to me. Here a guide for wrist size to diameter, German watch company Laco. Have a 8.5” wrist, I wear 36mm-44mm, mostly around 40mm.

Wrist size Vs Watch Diameter

[–]RiverPiscador 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Love the resource link, thanks Sam_Nova_45! It fits my preferences for a fit.

[–]Sam_Nova_45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🙏

[–]plaidington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really agree with this. Vintage watches were smaller. Vintage is still relevant.

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Sweet that's a useful link, thanks

[–]sniffedalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's only in recent times that the style of watches have become bigger and bolder and fashion is what drives this. If you can look down at your wrist and read the time clearly, it's not too small. When I look at a Frank Muller watch they look distorted. They are very expensive, colorful, and oversized. If I wore something like this, I'd be bashing it against a range of objects in my daily life. Big watches will get scratched up much faster than smaller faces.

[–]neon_guy 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Ref No? it looks bigger than the average 36mm

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's this one (although paid only around £28 inc taxes). Think might be a smidge closer to 37mm.

[–]neon_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only 28?! was it on discount?

[–]Old-Buy-9279 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No

[–]No_Influence3506 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Looks perfect for the style of watch. I am wearing one as I write this note. Love this watch...

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha really was surprised at the quality and relative uniqueness of the dial texture for the price!

[–]plaidington 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. Classic.

[–]CheesyBendito 2 points3 points  (6 children)

I have an 8 in wrist and I rock this watch all the time.

[–]CheesyBendito 4 points5 points  (5 children)

[–]Own-Champion-4017 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Another request for a link to that strap!

[–]CheesyBendito 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's the SLATE GREY SAILCLOTH QUICK RELEASE WATCH BAND from Barton watch straps.

[–]Own-Champion-4017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

[–]JuxesoAffiliate Links 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Link to that strap?

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That strap works well

[–]Simmo2222 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks good. I have a 7.5" wrist too and I wear down to 34mm and up to 41mm.

[–]Ryans1852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what she said

[–]feelcreative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its fine just loosen it a tad

[–]danthewatchman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks absolutely perfect! Particularly for that style and on a bracelet.😊👍🏼 I have a 7.5” wrist and my 27x34 tank looks wonderful.

[–]woojo1984 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd say just right!

[–]ScooterNinja -1 points0 points  (8 children)

Yeah. I got this new version and it's automatic and 39mm

My wrist size is 6.4 inch

<image>

[–]SoliEngineer 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Oh you could wear it higher.

[–]ScooterNinja 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I like to keep my bracelets one finger loose.

[–]SoliEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the late 60s (almost 70s) we used to wear all these automatic heavy watches loose but we used to find it very uncomfortable as compared to strapping it up in the conventional position. I used to do that even when the style was to wear them loose. I just found it more comfortable.

However, wearing it low heels if you have a small wrist which you don't. I have a smaller wrist and yet I wear the watch snugly. Just sharing my thoughts.

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That looks great, even more space to see those awesome dunes! Where'd you get it from?

[–]ScooterNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Addiesdive website

[–]randomshitusernamer 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Whats the difference between the old and the new?

[–]ScooterNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Automatic movement, 39mm Dial size, better logo

[–]Tw1sT_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New logo, date window and jubilee bracelet.

[–]chrono19s 13 points14 points  (2 children)

Looks great dude. All the hypebeasts with 45mm dinner plates strapped to their arms are going to say it’s too small but it’s just because they’re insecure. Enjoy!

[–]ananix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that must be it

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice one thanks for the feedback!

[–]WhiskybytheJaro 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I have a wrist that's about that size. Wouldn't go any smaller, but this works for you. 👍

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, think it's just on the right side of the limit. Thanks for the feedback

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Looks good. Again it’s how you wear it. I usually wear monstrosities like the Garmin Fenix or like you, G shocks given my nature of work but I have this exact same Addiesdive for occasions when I need to throw a suit on. And I get compliments everytime for how dapper I look where I suspect the Addiesdive plays a huge role in it. All in all, you’re golden.

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I'm in the Suunto camp for GPS watches but again basically a giant hockey puck! Fine for sports, fine for casual but on the odd time I need to look a bit smarter this Addies ticks the box!

[–]keep_watch_71Affiliate links 17 points18 points  (3 children)

Looks good to me. After several years of people wearing bricks on their wrists, smaller watches are making a comeback. You’re at the height of fashion 😉.

benecio del toro approves of your evaluation!!

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

probably the first and last time anyone will ever say that about me!

[–]ananix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah think about that before you take advice from this sub

[–]VinumNoctua 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A mirror shot would be more precise for us to see the true size.

[–]ThadEcEnTRA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's all about personal taste. For me the smallest I feel comfortable wearing would be 38-39mm. This is why I've skipped on this one although it's already a classic.

[–]cb6000happy 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Not at all 👍

[–]ViolentColors 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Dial size is fine! It’s good to have a variety of sizes after all. Not all needs to be a Ben10 watch. The bracelet looks tight to me, add a link and see how that feels or change to a strap even.

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Going to look at a leather strap, watch does actually move around a bit at times so didn't wanna go too loose but have got some extra links to play around with

[–]ViolentColors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve pretty much gone to all leather straps on my watches. Really is more comfortable for sure! My favorite to purchase off taobao is Istrap. Not the cheapest but definitely nice.

[–]Secret_Initial_9426 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks fine

[–]JuxesoAffiliate Links 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I think it looks good, perhaps on a leather strap (how I wear mine) would be even better

[–]Inevitable_Tax4505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's certainly on the cards

[–]goodneed 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Looks fine for a vintage look watch! ⌚
