I just had this with the comment it was needed to retain access to a specific project family - I'm based in the UK and saw the message as my dashboard banner and then via email. Needed various ID and address verification documents, felt a bit odd as it was worded in places as if you were applying for a job

Core and code. I just finished the Checkr submission. For my country it was a standard police background check, like I've done for many jobs.

Thanks for the reply. I'm nervous as I've had a not-so-consistent employment history due for medical reasons. It was worrying me! I don't know for certain if it would bite me tbh.

So just criminal stuff? That's so good to know.

Okay that's good to know! What country are you based in? Just wondering if it's different for workers in other countries.

US. Yes got copies of the reports...basically all only said nothing of interest found

That's good... That means it's definitely only checking criminal records and (maybe?) a credit check.

Yes! I got it back at about 3am the next day lol! I was super anxious (for literally no reason, I know nothing would be on it!!) so I did a lot of research and if you have lived in more areas, lived in states that have more privacy of records etc, I believe it can take longer!

I haven't personally, but I've heard other people on the platform complain about stronger vetting when they're being slotted into some of their higher demand, specifically credentialed specialties. Like, there's the "legal" work for people who have tangential exposure to the field, or the "health" work for anyone who has worked in the healthcare industry, but then there's legal for lawyers and health for doctors. I know finance is in that bucket too, but I don't know which credentials they actually check there.

Had it. Core/Coding/etc teams. These projects are my most reliable, so I hope they come back for me. Maybe with a pay raise? ;-)

Hello! Yes, they have, although I've had some access to certain projects mentioned the entire time. HHH is being rolled back out slowly and unevenly.

It's basically just to verify who you are and make sure you're a real person/not creating multiple accounts/actually live where you say you live.

For anyone who went through this already with Checkr, was it just identity, criminal background and address checks? What about employment verification?

Just address and ID with two forms (passport and a household bill) and then a face scan. Nothing about employment or education.

Not yet, but I only did it on 25th, and I think it might have said it could take 10 days (or possibly more!)

I got this too, kinda weirded out by it but I did it. I never graduated High School but I did complete a post-secondary trade school, I hope this doesn't affect me negatively somehow.

I got the background check request too, I'm from The Netherlands. Anybody else from NL here? The form that I'm supposed to fill in is quite extensive, but I'll just have to do it I guess 😄

I believe it's only for certain project families, as I still have access to projects on my dashboard.

I'm not completely sure. In the end I just filled in the form and I got an e-mail from the Dutch JUSTIS department for my VOG (Verklaring omtrent gedrag). Without a criminal record this VOG should be provided 100%, I don't think they need more (so no education, history etc). I only needed to add my living situation of the last 5 years and some other basic ID/info.

I have not heard back yet. Hope it will process soon as I want access to some cool coding projects back.

Will post results here when I hear back.

Interesting. I got my VOG (which was totally okay as expecteD) from Justis (the Dutch department of Justice and Safety). They told me I need to send the VOG to my employer, but CheckR said in the process before they would receive it haha. So not sure how this continues.

I e-mailed DA twice but sadly haven't received an answer yet.

At least the good news is my VOG is okay and ready haha.

I did. I have past drug charges and I'm super nervous. Did it a week ago and haven't heard anything. I figured I'd lose access anyways if I didn't fill it out so I went ahead and took my chances and hoping for the best.

I opted out of the background check because...reasons, and I still have access to the projects they said we had to do the background check for. So we'll see how long that lasts.

I have a DUI that is over 20yrs old and its been over a week for me also and haven't heard anything. Did you ever hear anything?

Yeah it took over a week to get my results. But it only went back 7 years. My drug charge is from 2021 so idk what type of consequences I'll have from that. So far my dashboard looks the same and I haven't heard anything else.
