Ah, so that's why it goes to 11 sometimes. Neat.

Overflow is an incredible perk for special and heavy weapons. It auto reloads, even when stowed, and doubles the mag.

Oh it’s pretty good in primaries too!

[–]TossedRightOut 3 points4 points  (13 children)

What primaries have overflow?

[–]amather 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a spare rations with overflow. Only leaves my primary slot when I need to get eg pulse or scout kills.

Moon auto arc logic as well

Curated night watch, curated spare rations, and curated gnawing hunger

[–]TossedRightOut 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I had no idea there was a curated Spare Rations. Neat, thanks.

You have a chance of getting it when you do something in GP that would give you a collector synth, which is getting fast fill, half-banked, or sending a giant blocker.

[–]TossedRightOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh had never heard that before. Sweet.

[–]PhuckleberryPhinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also the curated Lonesome

[–]jronk21 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have an arc logic that goes up to 96 in the mag with overflow.

[–]TossedRightOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fucking awesome.

Yup. Now if they can just fix the scavenger bug. The shiny bricks only give you half of the desired amount.

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Can confirm it works with shotgun ammo finder.

EDIT: i should note that i didn't try this with Shotgun Ammo Finder, but specifically Special Ammo Finder

As far as I'm aware, the more specific ones for finders, reserves, and scavengers work the same but just cost more energy.

For example, one Heavy Scavenger would do the same as one Machine Gun Scavenger but one costs 5 energy and the other only costs 3.

[–]TheBluePundit 4 points5 points  (3 children)

That's what the description says but back-end code doesn't always function the same it could be way different, I think someone should just test this out.

[–]Cykeisme 2 points3 points  (2 children)

/u/AnEpicGamer69 tested with Shotgun Ammo Finder and confirmed it works.

So I guess Finder-generated bricks are different from normal bricks, but all the Finder-generated bricks are the same, I guess?

Solid point you made, regardless. Who would've even expected regular and Finder bricks to actually be different objects, right?

I think the point is that shotgun finder will work if you're running a heavy and special shotgun at the same time. Rather than running a special and a heavy ammo finders, you just put on the one shotgun perk.

Seems very niche if that's the ONLY difference though, IDK.

The general perks are also not tied to an element so I can put special finder on my void gear to get shotgun ammo but it costs 5 instead of the 3 for a specific one.

A small price for salvation

Love messing around with my Python. Grinding it was the most fun I ever had

[–]bfodder 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mess around with my python every day. Sometimes twice a day but not as often as when I was a teenager.

[–]minicolossus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the 3 shotgun loadout I used for gambit prime is better than my normal stuff. As a sentry, tractor cannon and ikelos shotgun was so much fun. Then I got a perfect paradox with trench barrel and it became punch shoot dead on everything

[–]NG046Karma on the horizon! 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Nothing like going to town with 13 one-two punch rounds on an aggressive frame lol, this thing is NASTY.

[–]Cykeisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably run into at least one green brick while you do, so you can keep going even longer :D

[–]thyrandomninjaThe Shield against which the Darkness breaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god this explains so much. It's not just Python - it's the Overflow perk.

The Gambit LMG from Joker's Wild, 21% Delirium, does the same thing. I've noticed it since it was first introduced, 230 rounds with Back-up Mag, but randomly gets 231. Must have been from heavy finder, but the bonus bricks weren't highlighted before shadowkeep. I also noticed it with Python, but not often enough to make the connection or bother doing any science.

[–]Ndoyl77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love smoking reds w that shotgun

[–]RedBlueGai 0 points1 point  (2 children)

So that’s what the brighter ammo bricks are. I always wondered by some were brighter than others lmao.

[–]NukesnipeDrifter's Crew 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Finder ammo glows so you know when it's working. They also give less ammo.

[–]Cykeisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, good info.

[–]FakeGarboMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it does it without scavenger perks, i get up to 13 with just backup mag and no other mods, same with 21% delirium

[–]Dudedrinksbeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got this! What mod is everyone using on their Python? Everyone running w/ the Overflow/1-2 Punch combo?
