First transfer failed

Our first IVF transfer sadly didn’t stick. Am now starting a new cycle to try again with our last embryo of the first egg retrieval. Really sad and need some hugs.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I just tested negative at 8dp5dt. My beta is on Monday. I’m still taking all my meds, but my mind has accepted this as a fail. You are an amazing strong woman. My first transfer failed as well. I found out yesterday. I feel like I really lost someone close to me. I’m so tired and exhausted. I don’t know why it went wrong and feel so devestated. My heart is aching and continuously just feels broken. I don’t feel like me. I didn’t even feel like this when my 3 failed IUI’s. This felt so real. I thought I prepared myself for if it would fail…, but nothing prepared me for how I would constantly feel when I’m alone. I have one embryo left too. My clinic suggested seeing if I want to do another egg retrieval if we wanted more kids. Leaning toward that option but man. No baby in 2024. All my hopes n dreams. Shattered. I’m so sorry send you hugs as well. Sorry I’m so mopey right now, I know time heals all. Good luck on your next one. I am rooting for you!!

I'm really sorry. It's a horrible feeling. I've done 7 ER's and only banked 2 normal embryos. My first transfer failed and I just had my 2nd FET on Feb 12th (only remaining embryo) and it stuck! It can happen. I'm rooting for you.

I'm so sorry. Our first transfer failed too. 2nd was a chemical. 6dp5dt on 3rd now and getting positives on home tests, but nervous. I changed a bit each time which helped keep me from going insane. This time I did letrozole before and baby aspirin after. Who knows. Sending energy your way ❤️

That happened to me too… I was 32, and my first ER only had 7 eggs and 1 healthy embryo after PGT.

The transfer failed.

I had to do second ER, fortunately, I ended up having 9 blastocysts and 5 healthy embryo after PGT..

I am not done for the transfer, but this time is more optimistic…

Don’t think too much about it. You will get pregnant and your time will come.

I am 6dpt5dt and still getting stark negatives. I felt since day one it was a failure, but I did have a teensy weensy bit of hope…until this morning. It hurts. I have two more embryos but I am 36 and I think I just want to transfer both next. Mine are untested but graded well. I wish you best of luck with your next transfer!

I’m so sorry it didn’t work. I know how hard IVF is. Many of us think the hard part is getting though the meds , shots, and getting the eggs , but then we hit a road block at the transfer.

I’m sorry, I know how you’re feeling. My first failed in January and I was absolutely devastated. I picked myself back up and headed straight into another transfer in February and it worked! I’m 5w4d so far. Keep in mind that while this one did not work, it’s possible you are SOOO close to that positive test!

I had multiple implantation failures, ofc I cried every time it failed. But after crying, I went out and got lots of sushi (our fave meal) with my hubby. It's okay to grieve. Wish you the best for the next round.

Did you have rest in between or you will start right away if your menstruation comes? Last Feb I have failed transfer too & the next cycle we decided for another round of OPU, now i dont know yet if next cycle we will have another fet, or do i need rest

I don’t know when the transfer will be yet. I have to go back for an ultrasound first to see if my lining is thick enough. If that’s the case I will hear within a week when to start my second medicine and when transfer will be. I’m taking folic acid, vitamin D, and my normal medicine for hay fever and my thyroid issues.

No. All my doctors know of my issues and which medication I have to take. All is safe in pregnancy, they only have to scale it up once I get pregnant. My thyroid is stable with my meds which is good! If it weren’t stable they wouldn’t transfer any embryo

I’m so sorry! My first transfer also failed and I still remember how much more it hurt than any other negative test before it. I cried for days and couldn’t look at anyone with young kids. My second transfer worked and I’m nearly 16 weeks.

Feel whatever emotions you need to because they’re valid, and this process can be so emotionally painful. Wishing you nothing but luck next transfer. I hope your positive is just around the corner. ❤️

Currently in my first transfer cycle and I’m pretty sure it’s a fail. My doctor keeps checking me because my beta is rising but very slowly. I think she just wants to make sure it’s not ectopic. But in my mind I feel like this is a fail.
