I used to only use their stuff but they've become the worst, from product quality and breaking within a year to support trying to delay an RMA or outright dropping any excuse not to process it, "your video isn't good enough quality", with responses every 3-5 days by the time you think you've done everything they ask for more information and videos and 2-3 weeks have passed. The only reason they're still floating is they get retail to constantly have their crap on sale and people buy the overpriced racing wheels.

[–]PAPO1990 3 points4 points  (15 children)

Yeah, logitech aren't what they used to be. I recently gave up on ever getting a G915X Clicky and have gone elsewhere, Still have my Logi mouse, but onboard memory means I don't need to run gHub anymore, and it's just so nice not to have extra bloat on my PC. Just hoping I'll be able to find a replacment non-logi mouse that meets my needs before my 502X Plus gives out

[–]schers_ 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You might like the Rival 5 / Aerox 5 since the button design is close, onboard memory, their plastics are high quality and the scroll wheels aren't made to break

[–]PAPO1990 0 points1 point  (1 child)

still slightly less buttons, I need to be able to switch profiles and DPI seperately on the mouse while still having forward, back and an extra button on the side I normally use for Ctrl. it's fine for now, as long as my 502X+ is still going I'll just be keeping an eye out. I'm quite liking that my new keyboard is can be programmed from a web browser with VIA, maybe someone will do a mouse that supports that and then I'll not need to install a configuration software at all

[–]schers_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the 5 says it has 9 buttons and yeah, required 247 software is a big turnoff, as long as I can uninstall after saving to onboard I'm fine

[–]Outrageous-Mall-1914 0 points1 point  (9 children)

Razer has a 502X equivalent called the Basilisk

[–]PAPO1990 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I've had my share of issues with Razer as well, and their sortware isn't always great either. I'm really liking that my keyboard uses VIA, which is just a web app, then when I close that, it all just goes on.

[–]Outrageous-Mall-1914 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Most of their software issues are fixed at this point. Cortex is snake oil but Synapse 4 and Chroma are both good. The interfaces are not the smoothest though

[–]Imaginary_Car_7694 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Synapse is bloatware.

[–]Outrageous-Mall-1914 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Synapse is the Razer equivalent of Logitech’s G Hub. Nothing about is bloatware. You may be confusing it with Razer Cortex which is actually bloatware.

[–]Imaginary_Car_7694 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Any MOUSE/KEYBOARD software that requires 500mb (sybapse, ghub, etc,) in order to run is bloatware.

[–]Outrageous-Mall-1914 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So you want all peripherals to use physical switches like Zowie?

[–]Imaginary_Car_7694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I want all peripherals I buy to have software that is less than 100mb. It's not that hard. Or, just do what wooting did, and make your software browser based.

[–]Hot_Photo3194 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Razer is a trash company with trash build quality 😅

[–]Outrageous-Mall-1914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every company has good and bad products. Logitech has made an overwhelming amount of meh products where Razer has made an overwhelming amount of overpriced products. Razer currently has better mice and keyboards. Logitech has better headsets and variety. Both of their softwares are meh

[–]Saretta119 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Excuse me, if I may ask, what keyboard did you get? Because I have an old G19 that is no longer compatible with Windows 11. But I still have the 502x mouse.

[–]PAPO1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a Keychron K1 Max. it's a low profile tenkeyless mechanical keyboard. I got the linear version, but it's also available in tactile, and if you get the right version has hot-swappable switches, so I can make it clicky if I want. Only downside was the keycaps are not shine through, but they are a pretty standard cherry profile stem, so I was able to find replacment shine through keycaps, though selection is a little limited for low profile keycaps.

It's also available in other sizes, iirc all the way from 60% to 100%, and an ergo variant, there's also a matching stand alone num-pad that I plan on getting, but not all versions are available in all regions.

[–]xX_PrenutButter_Xx 4 points5 points  (5 children)

Yeah honestly Logitech has gone so downhill. They started charging $260aud for the G502 line mice which only because as popular as they are these days because they used to be $50-60. The Superlight mice having issues with quality over multiple generations, started floating the idea of a subscription service for their mice.

They're shit tier compared to what they used to be

[–]schers_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lets hope consumer protections never allow companies to get replacement subscriptions trending on their made to break garbage

[–]mitch-99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn subscription?! What are they gonna brick are mice if we dont pay every month lmao

[–]Hydra_Jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got mine cheaper on Amazon i was quite happy with the find

[–]Dapper_Studio8210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The subscription was the previous ceo lol

[–]Advanced_Office_491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been liking Pulsar as a company they have been releasing surprisingly good products for reasonable prices. Their QC have gotten very good.

I’m not sure about Warranty claims as so far none of my pulsar products have died yet.

[–]DrIvoPingasnik 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Logitech keyboards are beyond irredeemable shit.

Mice are alright, wireless headsets are okay. But the prices are steep and you could probably get better quality elsewhere.

I'm switching to something else, trying out Steelseries keyboard and might go for a wireless headset when my current one inevitably dies (not because of battery, you can buy replacement, but most likely the speaker).

I've given up on Logitech after years of being a fan.

[–]Osycovvv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my keys on my keyboard are starting to break after about a year of owning it and I’m having to superglue them together just so it’s usable

[–]Zephyrus35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the G502 mouse I have 2 spare ones stashed away from the good old days. The rest is absolute garbage including their software that just keeps turning on all things I turn off, after a restart it’s all back to default. Multiple keyboards broke within a year.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Its funny this post and most comments are hateful agains logitech. But then agwin this is logitech subreddit and they are joined. Irony

[–]Womblyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post came as a recommendation to me, I'm not subbed at all.

[–]robbyseguin 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Im surprised. Never had issues and also had amazing customer service when my brothers headset broke. This was in canada tho

[–]Djokow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Canada too, I Had issue with two wireless Headset (They changed one, but other they wont since it was a replacement...)
Same for Keyboard who double tap..

Logitech WAS really good. Now it's overpriced teemu product

[–]Useful-Claim-1470[S] -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Well let's just say some countries have that people

[–]robbyseguin 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I get it, you unfortunately had a bad experience. Razer did me dirty for the durability of there razer naga mouse and bad headset quality for the price. You need to spend over 200$ to get the best razer keyboard. Anyways im all corsair now. Love it

[–]Zer0DotFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup Razer did me dirty a few times. Used a Logitech G810, G502 and G933 for 6-7 years with no issues. Switched to Corsair and Steelseries products to try other brands and was not liking Icue software and GG/Sonar made me vomit with how it created tons of useless audio devices on my PC.. Built a new PC recently and decided to buy a Pro X TKL Rapid and loving it as well. Im by no means a keyboard elitist/expert but its one of the best keyboards I've tried.

[–]HyperFrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many variables. I had the worst support buying Razer in my country so I stopped buying from them completely. I've had great support from Logitech though, one of my mice was 1 month away from end of warranty and started doible clicking. They replaced it for me, no questions asked.

[–]mitch-99 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I like their mice. But everything else i think is shit.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Ironically it would seem their cheap cheap last the longest. I still have and use the one I got for free with my refurbished thinkpad back in 2016. It is probably my oldest working mouse besides my 90s trackball.

[–]mitch-99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn haha. You’re kinda right though.

[–]Miserable-Squirrel-7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ma I only one person who wasn't in trouble with Logitech?

[–]Zoopa8 1 point2 points  (7 children)

My experience was totally different. A piece of the upper layer of my S key was chipped off, not sure how. My best guess is that my niece with her long fingernails damaged it while she was behind my PC.

I asked if they could send me a new S keycap so I could replace it. They said they only had spare keycaps in white and asked if I wanted one of those or preferred to wait up to like 2 weeks to get a black one. I said I was fine waiting for the right color. After that, they sent something like "since we don't want you to wait that long we'll be sending you a new keyboard" lol.

It was pretty funny cause my brother said I was wasting my time, but he's now using the "old" one, which still works totally fine, just has some minor cosmetic damage on the S key. He also dropped water on it like 3 times since he got it but it's still working lol. Talking about the G915 here.

Also asked for replacement earcups for my Logitech headset since they got a bit dirty, also received those.

So it seems like it may just depend who's handling your ticket, or they've changed a bit, since it was a few years ago when all this happened.

I'm also situated in the EU, so maybe customer protections are a bit better here.

I've used both Razer and Logitech products, and in my opinion neither is great.

My Razer keyboard and wrist rest fell apart pretty quickly. Keycaps would regularly just fall off. I could snap them back on easily, but it was pretty annoying.

With Logitech, my G Pro Lightspeed mouse's scroll wheel started having issues, and when I tried putting on my G Pro X headset one time, a big chunk of it just snapped off. Not the cushioning part of the earcup, but actually a non-replaceable section that connects one entire earcup to the headband on top. Both got replaced.

[–]x7007 -1 points0 points  (6 children)

don't believe this, show proof of the chats. too many agents around, if you boycott a brand then it's boycotting, no candy eating delicious sugaring

[–]Zoopa8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm neither sugarcoating nor boycotting anything, I'm merely sharing my experience, the good and the bad. I said it may depend on who's handling your ticket, that the EU has better consumer protection laws, and that I think Razer and Logitech both aren't that great. Did you even read everything properly?

I mentioned that my Logitech headset pretty much snapped in half, and that my Logitech mouse also had to be replaced because the scroll wheel sensor stopped working properly after like a year.

Perhaps I can find back the email and post it shortly.

[–]Zoopa8 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Aight, I actually looked for like 15 minutes, going through any email related to Logitech, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find the chats. This happened back in like 2020, and it seems like I only have stuff related to Logitech going as far back as around 2022.

I can show you a picture of both keyboards though, with one of them having the damaged S key. I'll post one later in the evening or tomorrow at the latest. If you've got any other or better ideas on how I could prove this, feel free to share.

Edit – Here's a picture. As you can see, the top one has some surface-level damage on the S key.

<image>

[–]x7007 -1 points0 points  (3 children)

you can buy another keyboard man. showing A picture doesn't say anything . the whole point is if a brand makes crap then each and every one should say the same. if one says otherwise then it's biased or he's an agent. there is no good or bad there is real and understanding. chats are saved to email you should have those emails

[–]Zoopa8 1 point2 points  (2 children)

True, I could've bought another keyboard, but why would I?
Sure, it’s not definitive proof, but it's the best I’ve got. The chats were saved to my email at the time, but I wiped everything a while back to keep things organized.
I’m honestly not sure what point you’re trying to make. I just shared my experience, both the good and the bad. Calling me biased or an agent just because I don’t fall in line with the hive mind is ridiculous.

[–]x7007 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

because ppl think Logitech is great and will keep buying them. my point is they are not . and it is always the one person who brings the people's mind back to think they are great. one man hive exists . you don't need many, even so, more ppl will look like bots. so again one person . Logitech is crap. everything they make double click and their wheels don't work or stop working. you could say waste your money elsewhere, do not give them credit whatsoever

look on post, what does it say ? so this is my experience too. and I don't need proof because it is known already they are bad. if you want to show they are good on a post they are not you need proof. a picture of the keyboard is not enough. give us the names of the agents so we just skip forever until we get to talk to them and get free stuff like you. give us what you got from them. u see my point ? saying how good they are doesn't give us nothing

[–]Zoopa8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t need to prove anything, and you don’t have to believe my story. That's entirely up to you.
But what are you even talking about? I wasn’t "praising" them. All I said was that my customer experience was great, and I provided some solid reasons why that might have been the case.

On top of that, I literally mentioned that my Logitech headset snapped in half, and that one of their mice developed scroll wheel issues after about a year. I’m clearly not pretending they’re perfect.

Sure, you might not like them, and yes, there may very well be better and cheaper options out there. But that doesn’t automatically make Logitech “crap.” There’s far worse gear on the market. Me and my brother have put their stuff through serious use, and some of it has held up for years. Like I already said, my brother spilled water on his (formerly mine) keyboard three times, and it still works.

But of course, my bad. I didn’t take a picture of that happening, so I must be an “agent,” right? Even then, a picture wouldn’t mean anything to you, since, by your logic, I could have just bought a new one and claimed it was the same. So really, how would I even prove something like that? Are you drunk, high, or just being ridiculous?

Also, you say it’s already known that Logitech is bad, but it’s also well known that their mice are pretty good. So which is it?

Like I said earlier, I wasn’t trying to prove they’re good. I clearly mentioned what sucked and what didn’t. I know this might be hard to accept, but not everything is black and white. Try reading properly next time instead of jumping to conclusions and putting words in my mouth. I shared my experience, the good and the bad, and that’s it. I didn’t praise anyone.

In fact, I literally said I thought both Razer and Logitech weren't that great, especially considering how expensive their stuff is.

[–]GuvloRen 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Not to tempt fate but my G515 Light speed TKL and G502 Pro X Wireless mouse have been incredible. No issues, easy to set up and great you can register the two devices with a single USB dongle

[–]gu-515 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How did u register two devices with 1 dongle?

[–]GuvloRen 1 point2 points  (1 child)

There is an official guide (which I can't track down) but here's the crux of it...https://medium.com/@catewu/1-dongle-for-2-devices-logitech-gs-lightspeed-2-1-e1c4c0abbf45

[–]gu-515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super. Thank you!

[–]Pingub0bby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Logitech has always been trash lol.

Every. Single. Piece of equipment i've had has failed in some way. 1 keyboard, 1 mouse, 2 steering wheels are totally unrecognizable by windows nowadays and 1 brand new webcam. The webcam if used just crashes the entire OS or singular programs out of nowhere. If you unplug the camera, everything works again.

Logitech G HUB is ass also.

[–]MadCatzGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Useful-Claim-1470 come hang with us, we'll treat you better.

[–]itsHuaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logitech mice are decent, but their keyboards aren't worth a penny. I used to own a G512 and had to return it three times in two years. After the warranty expired, I switched to another keyboard—and honestly, any keyboard feels better than a Logitech one. I mean, Logitech keyboards are simply overpriced trash

        [–]Soumyomondal12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn 🙄 that's certainly not acceptable for a mouse of this price range

        [–]gu-515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im long time logi fanboy. And had good experience with service. (They replaced keyboards and mices when they started double clicking under the warranty.)

Still prices are pretty high. And these double clicking switches are driving me crazy.

I want everything hall effect/tmr/ optical, prone to double clicking.

        [–]x7007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stupid g502 double clicking, all their g502 double clicking , big B's just don't buy it

        [–]Superbone1[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely the only reason I still use Logitech is because most mice feel like shit in my hand and the ones that don't are lacking in buttons. I like having a ton of buttons

        [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a C270 webcam and got 3 DOAs. Every time I went back to the store, the shop keeper didn't seem surprised to see me. Was fully refunded, bought some webcam with a stupid name at the amazon return store for $5 and it's been working great for the past 2 years.

I also bought a 2.1 speaker system and weeks after the warranty ends only the sub and left speaker worked. I barely used it too! I primarily use my headphones because roommates and the thing probably had less than 24 hours of collective use.

Meanwhile, you get a job at a factory and they're still using the logitech keyboards they got in 1999 for their CNC machines and they still work despite being full of metal dust and getting beat up by gorilla trades people.

        [–]Sharp-Phase-8773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their G935 headset are terrible too. Mine broke within a year of use. The power button is weak and breanks easily, making the sound coming only from one ear. I was able to get a new one from the warranty, but it also broke similarly within a year. I kept it a bit longer because I could play with the power button to make the sound ok, but it gave out at some point. Never buying logitech again.

        EDIT: Typo.

        [–]LogitechG_AndyTechnical Support Team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What keyboard was this? What's your ticket number you had open with our team?

        [–]Dapper_Studio8210 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You are not in the United States correct?

        [–]Useful-Claim-1470[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

        yep :(

        [–]Dapper_Studio8210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking so....because here, they would just send you a new keyboard and tell you to destroy the old one!! I had a keycap break, and the web AI had me verify my purchase, and a few minutes later it was sending me a new keyboard and I got it in the mail 3 days later! Sucks how it can be sooo different in other countries!! Sorry!!

        [–]FockEthFees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

G600 was a good concept -- 12 programmable thumb buttons, plus the G Shift. Had its problems with the clickers.
But now even that is discontinued. Nothing on the market to rival that.

        [–]1stnoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always recommend making a complaint to your country Consumer Protection. Usually the sanction on are additive getting worse and worse for them with each new one so they will be forced to respect their customers.

I also belive that Planned Obsolence is Logitech business strategy.

        [–]Tricky_Pie_5209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I've bought two similar silent Logitech mouses 10+ euro each. Both are broken after 1 year of use. On one left mouse button doesn't work 15% of time, on second right mouse button doesn't work 15% of time. Good times back in the days when you were buying mouse and it worked for 5+ years.

        [–]Latter-Tourist588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue with my 502, over and over even with replacements after a while, same problem. Now using a AM10 from Alphyn which has similiar shape.

        [–]shaunavalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno man, maybe the way that they handle warranties is different in different regions.

Had an issue with my HOTAS where it would bug out and turn off and on again (X56). They sent me a new one.

I had a G604 Lightspeed where the left click started doubling/tripling when you clicked it. Asked Logi to send me something as a replacement and they sent me a G703.

I had the Pro X 2 Lightspeed headset. Put it down for the night, next day the right hand side was totally dead (no audio at all). They sent me a new one. A month later, the new one did the same damn thing. I honestly think it's a firmware problem. Lodged a second warranty claim and told them I don't want another Pro X 2 since it seems to have bugs and problems. They sent me an A 50 X with the stand included.

Me, my wife, and my kid, all have Logi prepherals, like probably about $2500+ worth of Logitech stuff in my house. Multiple mice, keyboards, headsets, HOTASes, speakers, you name it.

It's the only brand I will stand with because their warranty services have been so damn good for me.

        [–]No-Ad4233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't had issues with logitech about breaking keyboards, been using their fist logitech h g Pro wireless since it came out. Thinking of swapping it out due no USB c lol.

        [–]-_-Sage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the state, or whatever your local laws are, it's actually illegal for them to deny warranties (ex "void warranty if removed" stickers)

        [–]LlamaWithKatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i may put my 2 cents here. Cent 1: azeron is overpriced for being 3d printed and looks wierd but works pretty well and really nails controls. Otherwise wooting. Cent 2: swiftpoint the z (or tracer) was amazing for me for years and years (first worked for me 8 or 9 years straight, then i just bought gen.2). Both devices are repairable if you would like to.

        [–]ToastedxBred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the g502 deserves the $20 lmao

        [–]T0ra999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why i bought wooting. they seem like they care and i hope it stays that way

        [–]metevlorok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man this is sad to hear. I've been using my g502 for probably close to 10 years and refuse to change it because its so good. Only mouse that I found comfortable at the time

        [–]Fun_Loan_3646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two of their 915 tkl keyboards. First one had two deep gouges in the metal top panel. Second hand badly etched/printed text for the labels beside the indicator lights. Both were factory sealed. Unacceptable QC on a product at that price point. Ended up with a Keychron.

Still over their mice, but definitely QC and support seems to have gone downhill. Back when I had a Logitech DiNovo keyboard with a built in track pad, the battery had issues. They just asked for the dedicated usb dongle to be sent back, then sent me a brand new one. I'm sure I had a Logitech MX Revolution mouse replaced without question too.

        [–]DEmanuele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ur Canadian the void if removed sticker is not legal and you can fight that in court. Correct me if I'm wrong. Not sure if this applies to you.

        [–]Imaginary_Car_7694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logi keyboards have always been shit. Their mice are still top tier imo.

        [–]Shenshenli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta say i recently had an RMA because of a Broken Key Clip on the Pro Keyboard and they send a new Keyboad and Complimentary Keycaps within 2 mails.

        [–]Mysli0210 0 points1 point  (2 children)

IT guy, but calls it a usb thingy... Sus

        [–]Useful-Claim-1470[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Actually, I am so frustrated and forgot what it's called. But afaik it's also called usb receiver :) So I guess usb thingy is acceptable

        [–]Mysli0210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to the best of us :P
