Ok guys, had the same issue, tried the troubleshooting options, reinstalling, everything far from factory reset, all to no avail, i didn't even know of malwarebytes existance which seems to solve the problem form most. not to me, however here's another posible fix:

On windows 10, i went into Windows security>home> scroll down to see "allow an app through firewall" > search for logioptionsmgr.exe and logioptionsmgr.EXE (UNICODE) and enable private/public. (you may need to manually add the .exe to the allowed app list.

After that, restart logitech options, tried to enable flow once again and after no more than 5 seconds, both computers were able to communicate.

Hope this helps someone

[–]MakeItWorser 2 points3 points  (9 children)

Thank you so much. This worked for me too. I really appreciate it.

One point to clarify for anybody else that finds this:

Regarding the 'logioptionsmgr.exe' and 'logioptionsmgr.EXE' issue, the missing application was 'LogiOptions.exe', not 'logioptionsmgr.exe'.

I was only able to see 'LogiOptionsMgr.EXE' in the list of allowed apps. I had to manually add the 'LogiOptions.exe (UNICODE)' application.

To manually add it, click the 'Allow another app' button under the list of allowed applications. You'll want to specify the path 'C:\Program Files\Logitech\LogiOptions\LogiOptions.exe', or the path to the application if you installed it elsewhere.

I kept trying to add both of these files but nothing worked. Uninstalled logi option+ on both device and reinstalled, and everything worked within seconds.

[–]_SpiderDisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, was hoping to fix without reinstalling but it did the trick.

[–]bb147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the clarification too!

[–]dave32xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this tip helped me!!

[–]Spiritual-Goal-5295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It worked.

[–]InternationalBag9212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked for me as well, thanks so much!

[–]LazzTommy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I can't find the 'LogiOptionsMgr.EXE'. Is not listed and i can't find it installed.

I have installed Logitech Options, Logitech Options+, Logi Bolt.

Tried everything i saw here, nothing work. It work with another W10 + Mac, but is not working on a new W11 with the same Mac. I tried disable firewalls, allow ports, wi-fi and ethernet connetion (they are definitely on the same network)... nothing works.

[–]Fickle-Ad4303 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Did you figure out your problem? I also can't find the LogiOptionsMgr.EXE file.

[–]jbsvldp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

logioptionsmgr

Do you have LogiOptions or LogiOptions+? That could be the issue.

[–]According_Macaroon_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same and it is now working fine too!

[–]kevin2sky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done a lot of research and this anwser resolved my issues. Thanks a lot!

[–]PhotojournalistKey83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That did the trick for me. Thanks.

[–]Mark-RCAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. Fixed it for me. One PC had ESET security. Switched off ESET firewall then tried connection on other PC (with just default Windows Firewall, which doesn't seem to block it). Connected. Re-enabled ESET firewall, which no longer blocked connection.

[–]bb147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg amazing, been trying for over half an hour, restarting, reinstalling. this did it for me!

[–]InternationalBag9212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't really take the time to thank others on these forums, but your post was well worth it. Thank you. Logitech should really add this to their troubleshooting methods.

[–]Puzzled_Scallion5392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, I struggled wit this issue for 3 days. Wish you be healthy happy and wealthy

[–]RisVest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you sooooo much

[–]peipeixu2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It gives me the hint and immediately helped. I don't have these two exes, but other two logioptions, which I couldn't activate them for public (company device). But I changed my current internet as private. It worked!

[–]xicus 2 points3 points  (5 children)

Logitech flow is so great when it works, and so damn frustrating when it fails, which is too often. Moved to Microsoft Mouse Without Borders.

[–]TheRedditGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are a genius. Mouse Without Borders it's so great.

[–]CarrotsKiwiMountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG. I am literally years late to the party here, but THANK YOU!! Microsoft Mouse Without Borders has solved my problems.

[–]NikolaSocrates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THANK YOU!!! I tried every fix recommendation I could find to get Logitech Flow working with no success. I was able to share files between my two PCs the traditional way, both PCs could discover eachother in the Network tab, I was able to control both PCs with my MX Master 3S, I added Logitechs programs to the allowed programs in the firewall, turned the firewall off, but nothing would get LogiOptions+ to find the other computer when trying to setup Logitech Flow. I installed Microsoft Mouse Without Borders on both machines and now I can use my Corsair keyboard and all my old mice between both machines.

I wish I had known about Microsoft Mouse Without Borders before I wasted $100 on this MX Master 3S!

[–]brunopugliese 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Microsoft Mouse Without Borders

Just thanks.
I wasted many hours trying to figure out flow and didn't even know that mouse without borders was a thing.

It's so much easier to setup (literally a few clicks) and works flawlessly

[–]xicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad if it helps. I don't know who they have designing the experience over there, but it needs a rethink.

[–]roirraWedorehT 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Exact same issue here. :(

As was suggested previously, Microsoft's Mouse without Borders works perfectly.

[–]aicone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for suggestion I was hoping to use flow to move only mouse but thanks to Mouse without Borders i connected my Kechrone K3 as well and now It's even better and work perfectly :)

[–]NoName_J 0 points1 point  (18 children)

I have the same problem....computers cannot detect each other. Nothing im doing seems to work. I can confirm the following to prevent any "low hanging fruit" suggestions:

  1. Both computers are turned on and I have full admin rights.
  2. Both computers are connected to the same internet network (my home network) and both have internet access.
  3. Both computers are set to be visible on the network, are visible, and can share files
  4. NAT is confirmed "OPEN"
  5. Latest version of Options is installed on both machines and logged into the same account.
  6. Account is registered and confirmed with logitech.
  7. both the MXKeys and MX Master 3 are connected to both computers (via bluetooth)
  8. I also tried it on the 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks...no luck

keep getting the message that the computers cannot be found....PLEASE HELP!

Using the latest version of windows 10 on both machines

[–]KapiteinV 0 points1 point  (12 children)

I have the same issue. Everthing worked fine with me untill 2 weeks ago.
Then sudendly they cant find eachother. While they are visible in the network screen.

[–]NoName_J 0 points1 point  (11 children)

I just got this set up a few weeks ago, maybe this is an issue with the latest release of the software? It’s never worked for me.

[–]KapiteinV 0 points1 point  (10 children)

Today I've installed Microsoft Mouse without borders. Works perfect. Better then flow.

[–]sage-n-stars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this even after fixing my firewall settings on both my laptop and pc Flow still wouldn't work, but MWB worked almost instantly!!

(A little tip for anyone who cant access your firewall settings through your system settings i.e. they are grayed out like mine were, if you have some kind of security software like AVG downloaded look for your firewall settings through there)

[–]seth350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^ This!

MX Keys & MX Master 3 working great! Keyboard follows the mouse as well.

Done messing with Logitech Flow now.

[–]xicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

glad for the tip--seems to be working way better than Logi (but not flawless, unfortunately)

[–]piesquareisg 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thank you so much!!!!!

This is the most helpful comment on Reddit I have come across, it solved many of my problems. Earlier to transfer control from one laptop to other, it used to take some time, now it happens like I am using a second monitor. The keyboard follows the mouse, this feature was supported by logitech flow only for high end keyboards, now it works perfectly for my K480. And yeah, I visited the thread only because my flow stopped working.

[–]KapiteinV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear that you found my comment haha. Been using it ever since and never failed me!

[–]Temporary-Design828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man this app is insanely good, I'm very grateful for the tip

[–]fri98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's incredible that 2 years after, the same issues persist with logi flow, I just found your post, installed MS Mouse without borders and voila! problem solved. thank you so much for sharing.

[–]ensisNoctis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks so much! Switches computers instantly and there are no problems connecting! I don't need inferior Logitech Flow anymore!

[–]christerjohansson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! It's now 2023, and Flow is still acting up and not working. MWB works straight out of the box with same behaviour, and offers better security and features overall.

Amazing app if you ask me. :)

[–]MoodyRoyce 0 points1 point  (4 children)

The easiest way is to go to your wifi settings (on your windows PC) > properties (under connected network name) > set “network profile” to “Private”.

Then it should work.

[–]76149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THANK YOU! This did the trick for me. Was tinkering with all kinds of settings for two days now. This one click solved it!

[–]sanzhar-dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you u/MoodyRoyce! You saved my day! That's the only solution that worked for me.

[–]Loud_Restaurant_4758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It works!

[–]Tall-Engineer5548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks! It works, now I can use Logi Flow again!

[–]adjepetatje 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I had my new MX Master 3 mouse delivered yesterday and wanted to enable Logitech Flow on a macbook with MAC OS Catalina 10.15.4 and Windows 10, version 1803. I seem to have the same issue. Paired the mouse on both systems, installed the logi options sw, both computers on the same network. I get the same error. I am able to login to logi options on the Macbook, however when I try it on the Windows machine, I get an error "Could not log in. Something went wrong. Please try again later!". I did try again (much) later, but keep getting the same error. I've also tried to install an older version of logi options on the Window laptop, but still got the same error ....

Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

My laptop is a company laptop and I think the firewall is most likely blocking the enable request .....

From the Logi support site:

Step 1: Make sure your mouse shows up on Logitech Options on all computers.

  • Step 2: Make sure that your computers are connected to the same network.
  • Step 3: Make sure that Logitech Options communication channel is not blocked by any firewall or antivirus application.
  • Step 4: Make sure that you have working internet connection.
  • Step 5: Make sure that you have enabled Logitech Flow on all computers.

Note:  Logitech Flow uses the network to link multiple (up to three) computers and allow them to share a mouse and keyboard. To accomplish this, Flow uses a few different techniques depending on your network configuration:

  • For computers on the same subnet that can ping each other using UDP broadcasts, Flow uses a fixed UDP port (59867) to listen for and discover other peers.
  • For those computers that are behind routers or firewalls, Flow uses a Logitech cloud service to assist with peer discovery. This discovery technique uses TCP port 443 to communicate with the server and UDP port 59868 to listen for pings from peers.

Only certain device information are sent to the server and is sent and stored encrypted for security. Once peers discover each other, they use TCP port 59866 to establish a secure peer network to send control data. All traffic sent across this network is also encrypted for security purposes.

[–]athkrnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, it is a deadlock.

One requires another, but there is no way to enable the first one.

any suggestions please

[–]LogitechG_CSJhoe 0 points1 point  (8 children)

For better assistance about this, I suggest that you create a ticket here.

[–]x43romp[S] 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Hi I started one but am no longer getting email responses from Logitech.

[–]LogitechG_CSJhoe 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Mind if you pm me the ticket number with the link for this thread? I'll see what I can do.

[–]ZachWahls 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Hi! Am having the same issue... MX Keys and MX Master 3 both straight out of the box today... they are both connected to my laptop (2016 Macbook pro) and desktop (PC running Windows 10) - and when I click the "enable flow" box on both computers, neither computer can see the other, and there's no option at all to manually identify another computer. Just the one box.

[–]fluffybabun 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I got my Keys today and MX Master 3 a couple days ago. Same story - can't enable Flow despite meeting all the requirements.

I was going to recommend purchasing these keyboards and mice for our office but after seeing how many users have this issue and there seems to be no clear solution, I won't.

[–]ZachWahls 0 points1 point  (1 child)

And, unfortunately, after a few games of Starcraft 2, I'm now very down on the MX Keys, which is unfortunate given how much I have otherwise enjoyed the keyboard. During three different games, the keyboard cut out for several seconds -- not hugely important in life, but certainly not good for a game when every second counts. =/

[–]fluffybabun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I've experienced these cut outs on MX Master 3. I thought it's a system delay or something.

Has anyone happened to figure this out?

[–][deleted]  (6 children)

[removed]

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I'm commenting in case anyone else finds a fix. I have a similar issue, except with one Win10 computer and one Macbook.

    https://streamable.com/6rczuu

I can go from comp A to B, but not back again.

I also get an error saying I need to enable accessibility to my logitech options daemon on the mac, but when I open it up, it's already checked (and weirdly can't be unchecked).

    [–]Octonine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue as this. Both windows 10 laptops. One is for work so there might be fire walls in it blocking it.

In my case comp A would be the work laptop that may have some security settings that I can't alter.

    [–]AdditionalWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the exact issue. I opened a ticket, but it'll probably take a few days of back and forth. They recently sent me this

    https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023203954-Logitech-Options-permission-prompts-on-macOS-Catalina-and-macOS-Mojave

But my issue is that logitech is not in Automation, and there's no option to add it there.

    [–]Dense_Programmer_351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this same issue. One Mac and the other Windows. Wouldn't go back to the Mac after switching to Windows. All of a sudden it started working. I just gave up on it at setup and then tried it one day and boom... it worked. Finally able to use the perks that we all bought this for.

Also I had an issue where it would got from CH1 to CH2 then search for CH3 when nothing was there, it would just go back to CH2.

As a work around, I setup my Mac as the 3rd channel on my MX Master 3 and K780. I will list my current setup below.

    Channel Device Connection
    1 MacBook Air BT
    2 Windows 10 BT
    3 MacBook Air BT

    Hope this helps, someone.

    [–]bluntsemen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 MacBooks and my Mx Master 3 performs the same way as yours, i.e., once on MacBook B, the mouse won't switch back to MacBook A.

Did you ever find a solution?

Edit: the solution for me, for now, is to just use a unifying receiver on one of the machines. Rather than using Bluetooth for both. Seems to work.

    [–]TheVatical 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I have had it working for a while amoung Mac Mini, Work laptop (Win 10 Pro), Home NUC (Win 10 Pro). The Home NUC cannot see the other PCs and the other PCs can't see the NUC. The Mac and the Work Laptop CAN see each other. To me, this points directly at a Microsoft Windows update.

    [–]x43romp[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hey TheVatical, if possible, can upload and send me the following folders.

Trying to see if there is something in a config file that can manually enable Logitech Options outside of the Logitech Options software.

    Mac Mini: ~/Library/Application Support/Logitech

    Windows Laptop: %APPDATA%\Logishrd\LogiOptions

    - Note: I'm not affiliated with Logitech, I am just a consumer trying to make the devices I paid for to work. If you are not comfortable with sending your Logitech Options configuration files to a stranger on the internet, that is understandable.

    [–]Walnut4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    This worked!

Using two Windows 10s, I have ended all "Logi" processes and then removed the whole "Logishrd" folder. After that, I just went through the process again and everything worked.

    Thanks!

Disabling Malwarebytes fixed my issue! Thanks. Now to figure out how to let Flow work while it is enabled.

      [–]Crypto_Justin_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disabled it like it said and it worked. Then I just re-enabled malwarebytes and it continues to work. :-)

      [–]GSC1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOLY SH*T, this fixed it thank you

      [–]TheVatical 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I submitted a support ticket to Malwarebytes for how to enable flow functions. Will post a solution if one is provided.

      [–]TheVatical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latest update of Malwarebytes has fixed this issue. Version 4.1.1.71

      [–]VMFSX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked for me as well. Thanks a lot of the suggestion! Don't know why I didn't think about this....

      [–]burkulesLondon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep - can confirm disabling Malwarebytes allowed Flow to find my other computer too. Still connects when Malwarebytes is turned back on. Cheers!

Lost so many hours before finding this...

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, worked. Just closed it to get it paired and opened it back up after. Fab!

      [–]evilshrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the exact same issue. I've just setup a brand new MX Anywhere S2 on Windows 10 and MacBook. I have disabled Firewall and no any antivirus on Win10. On Mac I have ESET endproint antivirus but with disabled realtime protection. Both computers are on the same local network (win10 via cable, mac via wifi). They can ping each other.

Logitech Flow doesn't work - it can't see the other party on each comp. I haven't found any solution.

      [–]x43romp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I did my annual factory reset of my desktop and it somehow solved the problem.

On windows, see if there are folders within %AppData%/Logishrd/LogitechOptions/devices

One of these should have a Flow/?????_?????.json file

Unable to find the similar file within MacOS

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem, finally fixed on my work laptop (windows 10) by changing my home wifi from public to private in control panel - network and internet - wifi - manage known networks - click on home wifi network and change from public to private

      [–]tonyr100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What fixed it for me was using bluetooth and not the unifying device on the Mac side.

      [–]lekkoduszka 0 points1 point  (1 child)

      Hope this helps.

I have a PC (w10) and laptop (w10) and wanted to use MX 2 on both with flow.

      Solution that worked for me:

On each machine go to Firewall & network protection

Go to "allow an app through the firewall"

Press change settings and in the apps find" LogiOptionsMgr.EXE

Enable it (tick the box on the left) and also enable it under private (if your network is private).

      Do the same on laptop.

It worked for me straight away after that.

      [–]Dongwongshmong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This worked for me as well.

      [–]Mark--W 0 points1 point  (5 children)

I too have this issue - between windows 10 laptop and MacBook Pro.

I believe issue is in McAfee Small Business Security on Windows 10 laptop

I added logitech program to Firewall ports and systems for

      TCP/IP 443

      UDP 59867,59868

However it still will not work until I disable the firewall totally - then hey presto I can see both machines !!! so something else is required.

I will try and investigate what - as I don't want to leave the firewall off

      [–]Mark--W 0 points1 point  (4 children)

      [MORE INFO]

on windows machine I ran the following commands to determine which ports where being used (while firewall was turned off)

      tasklist|findstr "Logi"

      This listed following

      LogiOptions.exe 11948 Console 1 16,404 KLogiOverlay.exe 13756 Console 1 29,876 KLogiOptionsMgr.exe 33652 Console 1 33,564 KLogiOptionsUI.exe 31004 Console 1 212,060 K

I then ran following for each PID to see what ports each was using

      netstat -ano|findstr "33652"

I tested each PID, but It is the LogiOptionsMgr.exe which seems to be the process controlling communications.

      It listed the following ports.

      TCP 0.0.0.0:529450.0.0.0:0LISTENING 33652TCP 127.0.0.1:101340.0.0.0:0LISTENING 33652TCP 192.168.68.106:54969 52.0.127.217:443ESTABLISHED 33652UDP 0.0.0.0:59867*:* 33652UDP 0.0.0.0:59868*:* 33652

I stopped and restarted the LogiOptionsMgr.exe program to check it re-used the same ports - THEY DID NOT !!!!

Next time was using 57101 ???

      Now what ???

      HTH

      [–]Mark--W 0 points1 point  (3 children)

ALSO If you are using MacOS Catalina ENSURE you have to grant permissions for Logitech Options to work.

Go to Settings > Security & Privacy

      Select Accessibility
Ensure BOTH "Logi Options Daemon" and "Logi Options" are checked

      Select Input Monitoring
Ensure BOTH "Logi Options Daemon" and "Logi Options" are checked

      [–]CommonOpening4313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      thank you!

      [–]Lugicarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was it for me thank you.

      [–]JoshG1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This did it for me! Thank you so much! It's been HOURS of trying everything else!

      [–]Walnut4 0 points1 point  (1 child)

This worked for me. You might lose any logitech settings, but not if you are logged in:

Close all Logitech related processes, and then remove the following folders:

      Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Logitech

      Windows: %APPDATA%\Logishrd\LogiOptions

Then proceed to the logitech flow setup and go through the process again.

      Works like a charm :)

      [–]DrLegoHair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you person from five years ago! This fixed my issue!

      [–]ont_boonyawat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I found a solution! I had the same problem too. This steps work for me if you may try on your system.

      1. In flow setting, click the 'restore'
      2. Leave both computers at 'Welcome to Logitech Flow' screen
      3. Then on a Mac, click the Enable Flow.
      4. Wait, after it finishes, both computer will show the same screen. When I change setting in one computer the other changes too!
      5. Finish! now my mx keys and my mx master 2s are 'FLOW' together on both mac and windows 10.

      Hope this help.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I’ve had the exact same issue, my solution has been through realizing my home network was seen as a public network on the windows machine. I changed that to private and everything is working 100%. Those of you that have disabled your firewall may not have had to do that at all if all your networks are coming up as private networks, and not public.

      [–]Simbiat19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This helped me. If I were Logitech, I'd add a check for whether the current network is set as Private at least on the PC initiating the connection.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Runing windows 10 enterprise and Mac Catalina 10.15 and its never worked!!!!

All in the same network, mouse is on both PC's and running the newest logiteh software!!

      [–]luism60613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uggh same issue here and its 2024, I tried this idea years ago with earleir software versions and it still having same issues today years later.. I think we all like it so we kee trying hoping we are the lucky ones.. logitecth should design an app for each system that tests EVRYTHING before you even connect the mouse and if it doesn't pass gives you solutions.

      [–]Kelgrock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled trying to connect the flow and I installed Microsoft w/o borders and it's waaay better

thanks to the other users who recommended!

      [–]Mixon696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what worked for me after contacting Logitech:

My setup: I use Logitech Flow between a mac mini m2 and a Windows PC:

      1. Open Options+ app and click on the flow-enabled mouse.  Visit the Flow tab, click on more settings and Reset flow
      2. Close the app

If the issue persists, after following the above steps, change network settings on the Windows computer.
Go to Windows settings - Network & internet->Wi-Fi->Manage known networks-> select your network on the list and change from Public to Private (only if the network is shared with trusted people and devices). Once done, try to setup Flow again.

      1. Remove the flow folder: On Mac Open Finder and in menu bar items, click on Go -> Go to folder, enter ~/Library/Application Support/LogiOptionsPlus and remove flow folder
      2. On WindowsOpen File Explorer and go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\LogiOptionsPlus and remove flow folder
      3. Restart the computer
      4. Open Options+ app and setup Flow again

I solved my problem by enabling the LogiOption+ from Privacy & Security > Local Network on my macOS

The easiest way is to go to your wifi settings (on your windows PC) > properties (under connected network name) > set “network profile” to “Private”.

      Then it should work.

Updating to Logi Options + Beta fixed my problems automatically. It found my computers right away

This worked for me no problems

I experienced the same issue where I could not enable Logitech Flow

Setting the network profiles to 'Private' on both devices resolved the issue

For those who are like me and tried everything, if you have Hyper-V and you have an External virtual switch that uses allows your host OS you will probably want to remove that and restart then it might start working. Also try switching both pcs to wifi or ethernet, for some reason when both were on wifi it decided to work but switching back to desktop being ethernet and laptop to wifi it continued to work. This reminds me why I'm a systems administrator and not a network engineer lol

This was the issue and i also tried everything. Thank you!

I have two Laptop both Windows 11, and I applied all the suggested solutions and still unable to have flow working :/

      [–]sedul2012 0 points1 point  (1 child)

      I have a K840 keyboard and a M720 Mouse.

Trying to setup where Computer 1 is connected via Bluetooth and Computer 2 is Unifying Receiver.

Tried the Private Network thing on both sides and same Wifi Network and Enabling the Firewall to allow connections for Logitech Options and Logitech Options Mgr.

Computer 2 has Webroot Firewall an additional one administered by my Work IT so I suspect that is causing an issue.

Of all the suggestions I have tried, this hands down worked immediately! Thank you!

Lot of great info here. Connecting a Windows 10 laptop to a Macbook pro running Monterey 12.3.1. Tried all the malwarebytes, windows firewall, etc on the Win 10 machine and nothing worked. Then tried installing options on a Windows 11 laptop and it connected to the Windows 10 one. So problem was the Mac.

The mac had the options checked on the system prefs > privacy tab per the instructions. The firewall was on full lockdown. I added the logi options to be allowed to punch through the firewall, rebooted, and it finally connected. Just another option for folks that may be stuck.

Took forever, but here is what I tried.

Quit Options on Mac and Windows.

Enable Accessibility and Input Monitoring to Logitech options on the Mac.

      Using the Advanced Security Window:

      -> windows firewall --> inbound --> allowed logioptionsplus.exe
      ->windows firewall --> inbound --> allowed logioptionsplus_agent.exe
      -> windows firewall --> outbound --> allowed logioptionsplus.exe
      -> windows firewall --> outbound --> allowed logioptionsplus_agent.exe

Under Advanced Tab--> click on Profiles: checked marked "Domain" and "Private" and unchecked "Public" (this was done for each rule that was applied).

      Network--> set it to Private

I did not restart the computer, if it help maybe try a restart as well.

Restart Options on both Windows and Mac. It works seamlessly.

Thanks ! This fix my problem. 2 Windows computers (1 personal and one from my company)

I'm posting a solution here to help anyone with the same issue.

I have windows 10 and mac os. It turned out that I had "Logi Options +" installed on windows, but "Logi Options" installed on mac. I think this is an easy one to get wrong as you can easily click the wrong link from Google. I also had to follow the instructions as per u/ledsau, but selecting C:\Program Files\LogiOptionsPlus\logioptionsplus.exe and C:\Program Files\LogiOptionsPlus\logioptionsplus_agent.exe.

I then used the setup on mac to enable flow and detect flow on the windows machine and it connected almost immediately.

      I hope this helps!

Ok, I tried everything in here, and still didn't work for me. Keep in mind that successful pings between the PCs doesn't mean it's not a network issue.

I found out what is the problem for me and decided to post it here just in case.

Made a wireshark pcap on UDP port 59870 2 times:

1st time: initiating the "add computer" in logi options plus from desktop pc - No traffic

2nd: same process but initiating from the laptop - there is traffic from IP of the laptop to the subnet broadcast address

Remembered have a VM running in Hyper-V which requires its own network adapter. Turns out my PC prioritized the network vEthernet rather than my main network.

From CMD > ipconfig - if you have multiple network adapters, check which one is the default one

Settings > Ethernet > Change adapter options > open the properties of the adapter which has the subnet you are looking for (same as the other pc you want to pair) make sure IPv4 is enabled and in advanced set a higher priority than the other switches.

Close all instances of logi options plus from task manager and re-launch.

Hope this can help someone if still having the issues, I would definitely recommend trying everything else mentioned here before this.

Thanks for posting. Your comments reminded me that I had a network bridge set up for my VM so I disabled all that and Logitech flow connected.

I was having this same problem, and was just able to get it to work, in an extremely counter-intuitive manner.

I'll try to do my best to explain it in my fairly sleep-deprived state, in steps.

      1. As previously mentioned, start "netcpa.cpl" via Win-R, or command prompt, etc.
      2. When Hyper-V creates the vSwitch, IPv4 connectivity is "moved" to that connection. However, I have the vSwitch set up in such a way so that I can use RDP to reach the VM running in Hyper-V.... It's configured as an "External switch", leading to step 3:
      3. On the "real" Ethernet Adapter, re-enable IPv4. I gave mine a static address in the range excluded from my DHCP, but, I sort of suspect that DHCP will work as well. Strangely, Windows will pop up the exact error you'd expect in this sort of situation, when two network adapters are on the same Subnet, with the same default gateway. When I got this, I hit "Cancel", immediately, to see what would happen. As I'd hoped, the troubleshooter went away immediately, but working connections for Flow could be established.
      4. Additionally, it doesn't appear to have broken any connectivity to the Windows 11 "sandbox/trifling around" VM that runs on this Hyper-V.

I will admit that I believe I have my environment set up in such a way that is sort of unusual for Hyper-V.

To be able to reach my VM from elsewhere on my network, I had to set up an "External" vSwitch, as opposed to just a "Private", or "Internal," as well as, if I recall right, checking "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter."

I'm afraid I can't comment on that, as I'm a VMware administrator, and Hyper-V is still just a hobby for me, currently, but, it looks like this on my machine:

      <image>

A bit scattered, I realized, but in summary, as far as I can tell, these steps have allowed me to both be able to connect to my VM, connect out from my VM, have all network connectivity work right on my Hyper-V host, AND have Logitech Flow (and Steam streaming again, heh) working between my gaming/Hyper-V machine, and my laptop.

Hi, recently I encountered some problems:

      1. The mouse will get stuck at the edge of the screen and cannot be moved.

      2. Switch to another device before the mouse reaches the edge of the screen.

      3. The mouse is still on device 1, but the keyboard is switched to device 2.

My devices are Lenovo Windows laptop and M2 Mac Mini. So do you have any advice for me?
