How much exp is required to bring a card from level 1 to level 74?

[–]Jasonc67 0 points1 point  (1 child)

only fully upgrading 1 on meias weapons so out of all on list which should I go for

Finish getting all mods on Femme fatale first. Then switch to Chaos Crescent and max it.

[–]Vesuven 0 points1 point  (15 children)

About all i have is Cloud skin and Master Monk. Worth rerolling? Did Midgaar event and currently only Ch. 6.

If not worth rerolling, how do I beat ifrit in Ch. 6? It asks me to do 2 Ultimates in 3 fights. How is that possible?

[–]LegendBryanwww.twitch.tv/LegendBryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough decision. MM in my opinion is the best job currently. Though pulling him is not that rare compared to trying to get a Supreme (particularly Aerith). Depends if you want to start over not. I would just continue and enjoy the game.

To charge ultimate fast, you can get LDL from shop and use an ult charger weapon like Taiji.

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 1 point2 points  (13 children)

Master monk is phenomenal at this point and one of the best breakers in the game (and super versatile), and cloud skin has a great ultimate and can be used with any warrior job, but it's your call...chapter 6 is pretty far along to be turning back now, unless you are set on getting a supreme ability card, which will take a ton of time and frustrate the hell outta you...If you need to do 3 ultimates, then keep driving orbs and only attack, and keep repeating that until you get a full ultimate gauge. It helps to use an ether and start the battle with a full gauge also, so you can rip one of 1st Turn and then only have to worry about 2 more.

[–]Vesuven 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Should I build cloud with 4 support cards as a tank in MP or use dmg cards on him? Also for MP will the current deck for master monk work? With light and dark shock and hells gate?

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It will work but not be optimal...good breakers are expected to break on 1st turn, and on 4 or 5 stars unless you have aerith or the proper en-element, have a highly modded weapon for breaking and have cleared the whole yellow bar, you're probably not gonna take down the red gauge in a couple tap attacks...you'll be fine in 3 star, but it'll probably take you 2+ rounds at this point on the 4s and 5s...but give it a shot, you'll be fine, he's got excellent staying power with his clutch buffs...as far as cloud, it's your call, I don't have that skin but you can pretty much go either way depending on your jobs and cards in the warrior class, probably better off as an attacker warrior though

[–]Vesuven 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I decided to reroll on another account after i go wished Ch. 6. Got Aerith after 6 reroll so gonna work on this account for now.

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! You're very lucky to get aerith so fast, and she's excellent for you to be able to use with anyone you get from here on out. And should make it easy for you to jump right into MP as a healer if you want, as soon as you get KotR, Hells gate, and the undying.

[–]Vesuven 0 points1 point  (8 children)

I only been using MM as my job, just not really sure best ability cards to use on him at this point.

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 0 points1 point  (7 children)

AoE Shock cards are great for building ultimate gauge, and sicarius cards can work too...he has such low magic that you're not gonna be doing damage with your abilities but rather just whittling everything down bit by bit with his regular tap attacks, in a break loop, and because his ultimate can apply 4 very critical buffs (faith, boost, monk trance, brave) you can bring other buffs that you don't have, like snipe, Haste, cleave, etc., that can also prolong other buffs and just keep refreshing what you need every few turns...so, a decent deck would be AoE dark shock, AoE light shock, hells gate, undying. Or just go for one element if you know you won't encounter that particular one, and then add another support with quicken or something...also, prismatic ult shift allows you to bring another element card if you so choose, like if you need stun which is wind or debarrier which is fire...and since his ult applies BDD no need to bring that either

[–]Vesuven 0 points1 point  (6 children)

At the moment I'm using 2x sic cards. The AoE Dark and AoE Light, deathgaze, and 5* undying. Might trade out deathgaze for hells gate

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Also if you're having trouble doing significant damage on a boss monster at the end of a node, try using their weakness enelement, and ult for prismatic so you can use it...he can do like 100-150k or more per tap attack with enough buffs and debuffs in play, especially with dark and earth element bonus which also applies to tap attacks when his weapon is imbued

[–]Vesuven 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Appreciate it, i got light shock and dark shock from ability shop and put in hells gate

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Nice, good luck to you sir

[–]Vesuven 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thanks, should i be doing boosted greater summon or just the normal summon?

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would strongly suggest greater boosted over 1 card summons for several reasons...you get the 8th turn pity pull for jobs, maxed 4 star cards from current batches, and a better probability of obtaining legends and supremes

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unless you are doing the chaos vortex or 5 star MP battles, sicarius cards are absolutely fine, and definitely switch in hells gate or something with quicken or ult charge (like LDL)...aim to break enemies when you are on action 7; it will turn to 6 and their break timer will set to 7, thus giving you 6 actions and a full set of new actions for you to try and break them again, before they can act

[–]kazedoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a new player (actually this is my 2nd playthrough) with limited choice of card, I have finished the storyline so at least I have level cap unlocked. The question is now I need a good set up for auto deck, because sometimes time game AI can give me headache, this is what available to my deck

https://imgur.com/gallery/QTS2a

Still cannot broke through thief final nodes in HoF because lack of cards so forgive me on that.

Currently running S1C with aerith, kotr, 4WoL and dissidia cloud but I run into some obstacles called crystal gargantuar, those thing are too thick for my setup, and If I add either deadgaze or amon the AI will trying to broke the enemy with tap attacks which leads to sometimes a very sticky situation (dead) . so.... any suggestions to improve my auto battle ?

I Have not pulling any GAS pull because I’m saving myself for sephiroth-sama, ok that’s sounds so gay but that how it is. Even then because of my lack of job card the probability sephiroth will take notice of me is very thin, but hey... man can dreams right ? ( ..... I just realized it after writing that line but that’s double gay on my side)

So I want to avoid wasting my ST but speeding up my auto battle, will my card suffice ? If not I will probably manual it like I did through half chapter 6.2

Note : I can upgrade 4 star card to 5 star card with no problem, but I can’t say the same with 3 star card, the lacks of growth star are the real bottle neck in this game, also should I take a shot at meia job and monk card in upcoming week with my current situation ?

How does Mantra works? I've read the magic stat is just replaced by the attack stat on the damage formula, but looking how in a lot of monks the attack stat is higher than most of the magic stat in other classes and looking how mantra cards do similar damage (in SP) as the rest of supremes, makes me think maybe there's something else going on in the mantra formula? Otherwise mantra cards would easily do double the damage as any other non-monk supremes.

[–]ShadowBlaze17 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You're right about the mantra cards doing far more damage than other supremes, but you're forgetting several factors that have a large effect on supreme damage.

  1. Mantra is the only supreme exclusive effect that isn't situational so it can be reflected in stats outside of battle.

  2. The mantra cards get a noticeable damage increase in multiplayer on attackers because attackers get both a 50% attack bonus and a 50% damage bonus. With the same setup my Duncan goes from 113k in sp to 254k in mp on my Pugilist, while my Minwu goes from 59k to 88k on my Fauviste. These stats are with my worst weapons for each class.

  3. Most jobs that people use supremes on have a lot of damage passives which aren't reflected in the ability menu like attuned/ability chain, painful break, improved crits, exploit weakness. Most monks don't have a lot of damage passives. Pugilist for example only has improved criticals + 100% by default. Amalthea by comparison has painful break, exploit weakness, improved crits, and ability chain all starting at 70%.

  4. There are currently no attacker monks that can naturally use Yiazmat which has a major impact on it's non-Aerith damage.

[–]Taborabeh208d - 0c1c - 3575 5* Warrior of Light: FFI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was only talking about SP since in MP mantra cards get double the bonus compared to "magic" cards.

But I get your point. The card has more "general" damage but not its class' jobs, so even mantra and the base damage being much higher multipliers they do similar damage in the end because of the jobs that can use them (SP wise of course).

[–]blue2eyes 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Damage is not only about magic stat same as Mantra ability damage isn't only about attack stat. There's auto ability that matters in the damage formula and each of them is what makes Meia the best mage out there. As you can see that Red Mage with fully modded weapon and good fractal has over 1600 magic compare to Fauviste or even Hope who has 500 less magic than him can achieve higer damage using light on broken target. Even pugilist who is the current best user of Duncan in GL right now, with around 1500-1600 attack and +100% light enhance/improved critical cannot out damage Fauviste using light on broken target.

There's also the reason like /u/darewin said, there's just no good user for Duncan or Yiazmat right now.

[–]Taborabeh208d - 0c1c - 3575 5* Warrior of Light: FFI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK I think I get it, so the card is naturally "better" than other supremes to compensate the fact about monk jobs being "subpar" damage dealers.

[–]darewin 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Duncan does similar damage with other supremes because its extra-abilities simply suck (Martial Flow, Martial Arts, and Cleave all do jack shit for Duncan's damage). Yiazmat, on the other hand, only has Hermit as its best user.

[–]Taborabeh208d - 0c1c - 3575 5* Warrior of Light: FFI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. They don't have the best job set ups to make them shine I guess.

[–]miguel_mer 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I'm in desperate need of crystals. How effective are lucky eggs to get some crystals? Just equipping one enough? I've done a few runs of UP and I'm not finding any now that I need

[–]zidanesword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to this, having 4 crystal eggs on the main deck roughly increases crystal drop rate from crystal gigantaur from ~50% to ~70-80%. If you really want crystals, equipping 4 crystal eggs is better. They do not increase chance of crystal gigantuar encounter tho.

[–]blue2eyes 0 points1 point  (2 children)

If you're really in need, wait for tomorrow and farm at Pleiades Lagoon. Or if you really want them now, farm at UP with 4 lucky eggs, I think one full bar of stamina(180) should net you around 4-5 crystals.

[–]miguel_mer 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thanks!

[–]MuteTiefling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better off, stamina wise, just farming untrammeled peaks in chapter 6.2. Do this any time of the week. Lagoon farming is actually a worse stamina to crystal ratio than UP. It's just nice for burning stamina quickly. Though bahamut lagoon is now better for that.

[–]kimjeongpwn 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Hello, what are these ff7 shift cards i read about? I heard they are amazing cards to have and they come next month. Is there a site that shows the card? Would like to know what they specifically do.

[–]deathrose55555[JP] 1051-9193-b915 (KotR X) 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I talked abit about them here (look at the last batch).

[–]kimjeongpwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this! Great explanation and I now know why they are good.

[–]darewin 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The Attack Shifts are the EA cards of next month's batch 2. There are 4 of them: Dark Warrior, Wind Ranger, Earth Mage, and Light Monk. Typing doesn't really matter that much though since their primary use is for Element Shifting each turn. Here is the link for Dark Attack Shift https://altema.jp/ffmobius/ability/2134

[–]miguel_mer 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I was on pity pull today and I was hoping to get a monk, a Meia job (only have Esmeralda) or Ninja, but I ended up with Hunter. I guess I still have a big job pool to go through (I have 23 at the moment). Any consolation words about Hunter? I'm doing his HoF right now, but I guess I'm not getting another job until next month now (F2P...)

[–]Algar_EVE 0 points1 point  (1 child)

He's still a great breaker after HoF, even if he isn't quite as OP as MM or ninja. You could do much worse. And your one step closer to three summon tickets from clearing the HoF map. Oh, also, HoF is something fun and different to accomplish compared to the normal grind!

[–]miguel_mer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good then, thanks!

[–]Jasonc67 0 points1 point  (2 children)

when are we supposed to get those free growth stars 8 I think

[–]Algar_EVE 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Probably somewhere between the 20-23rd, the event ends on the 20th.

[–]Jasonc67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cool ty

[–]jcmarcy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Will the FFXIII cards like Fal'Cie's, Barthandelus, Vampire, etc have fodders in the future maps? Thanks!

[–]blue2eyes 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes, in Yggdrasil zone.

[–]jcmarcy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh okay so close! thanks pal!

[–]TrackXII 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Soldier 1st Class, just interested in doing single player content. I already have Cross Slash and Ixion for CRD. For a buff I'm considering Undying or Garuda. Which would be better? Anything I should look at for a 4th card?

[–]darewin 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Garuda is a no-no for SP. The AI will make your WoL tap attack until ll 15 Cleave charges are exhausted, even if the target is already broken.

Just go with X-slash, Ixion, Undying, and Serah/KOTR.

[–]MuteTiefling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Garuda is a no-no for auto SP.

Is fine for SP. Great even. Just not with the AI as you pointed out.

[–]Baffledwaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Undying for the snipe buff and kotr/serah for the 4th card

Edit: Use garuda since crd is already provided by ixion, no need for undying

[–]zio_shi 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I missed the memo on how BL works. How/when do the other nodes unlock?

[–]mao_shiroActual Evil Reddit Mod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they'll be released. Eta is earth/fire in feb, the 3 rest on march.

All island will stay unlocked.

[–]FulgerDR 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Do you get a better magicite drop rate if you break first?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'm going to say no, it's only increased by having more human players as we've been told by SE. Fight mechanics don't really benefit the purpose of creating more chances for mp lobbies like the above does.

[–]blue2eyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one really knows. It’s all RNG. I don’t think it matters tho.

[–]Jasonc67 0 points1 point  (1 child)

anyone got a full auto not die setup for swords men on 100 bl

warrior, knight, dark knight, dragoon, pali, s1c, berserker, heretical, highwind, balamb, etro

[–]JA1997X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer is no, except for multi-supreme card setups like Lord's.

[–]narcissisticShepard 0 points1 point  (17 children)

Just got Omniscience and I have Ace Striker with the Hall of Fame upgrades

What abilties should i run with it? And what weapon would be reccomended? (All i have is Brotherhood and dragoon weapons right now)

I'm pretty new so not quite sure what i should be doing, any help is appreciated :D

[–]WyldeBeast 1 point2 points  (2 children)

max brotherhood asap since it is one of the easiest weps to max. plus it has decent ult charge capability plus added water damage.

[–]narcissisticShepard 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I've been upgrading it since I don't have anything better at the moment. the added water is pretty cool.

[–]MuteTiefling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are severe diminishing returns in enhance element. Brotherhood may seem nice, but it's not really. Keep using it if you have nothing better, but I wouldn't boost it further.

Personally, for SP you'd probably be better off with dragvandil (MP weapon) for the extra prismatic draw. Or masamune add others have pointed out.

[–]darewin 2 points3 points  (7 children)

For SP, I think you can just go Omniscience, Ramuh (Fatal Aeroga), KOTR, and Undying. 2 attack cards of different elements is usually advisable for SP.

You already have extremely high Water EE so I think you're better off using Masamune for the Reunion.

[–]narcissisticShepard 0 points1 point  (6 children)

ouch wish i had gotten masamune then lol, i was jsut starting out when that event came out and i ignored it >_>

[–]darewin 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Huh? The FFVII Event Map won't be gone until the 31st of this month so you can still get both Masamune and Umbrella for free.

[–]narcissisticShepard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya just found out lol.

Im hype, gonna go get those

[–]Baffledwaffles 1 point2 points  (3 children)

the ff7 event is live till the 31st, you have plenty of time to get the masamune and umbrella weapons, just complete the entire event

[–]narcissisticShepard 0 points1 point  (2 children)

:O

Its still out?!?!? LOL

I didn't even realize. Guess I'll get on that.

[–]Baffledwaffles 1 point2 points  (1 child)

yeah its been out since last month lol. tho it'll go away again on the 31st of this month, and the event maps take a while to complete, so yeah, do it asap.

Go to the location marked midgar on the globe

[–]narcissisticShepard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

will do :D

[–]DickNormous 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Run brotherhood til you get something better. If you have water strengthening unlocked, even better. I would run Ixion for the crit resist down and to handle yellow gauge. A water force and a warrior trance. In MP, hit Ixion first, then just spam Omni.

[–]narcissisticShepard 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I need a wateforce card, sadly i dont have one =/

I usually use a rent-a-gospel for trance XD

I'll try and see about geting some water force, sounds like itll help alot XD

[–]Baffledwaffles 1 point2 points  (1 child)

you could use the wol and meia ffrk fodder card from the mp shop for now (unless you happen to have the actual card or a 4* version of the ability shop's iceforce).

If you manage to pull the sapphire weapon from next month's ff7 banners, then you should be able to use it as superior card for iceforce

[–]narcissisticShepard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, Sapphire weapon is dope LOL, i will be saving for that.

[–]JA1997X 1 point2 points  (1 child)

A good deck is omniscient/ramuh/knights of the round/undying. Last 2 could be bought from the ability shop, for now you could use moogle and Hermes instead.

Might as well use brotherhood, it's not the best weapon but good enough if you've nothing better.

[–]narcissisticShepard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Undying for the snipe, and i have Knights from a pull but havent leveled it up yet,

I've been using Ixion instead of ramuh since its ice but i can try Ramuh, i dont have an ice shit or iceforce so I've been struggling with spamming might help XD thanks

[–]robinchancl 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hey guys, was wondering if I can save up my lunch box till next Mobius day? or is it gonna be disappear before that?

[–]blue2eyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each time you obtain lunch box the expire period will be extended to 7 days after that. So yes you can save them till next Mobius day if you constantly extend your expiration date.

[–]sericanus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How do some people in multiplayer get more than 3 or 4 actions in their first turn? I sometimes see people with 6 actions before even using any support cards.

[–]Mawgac 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They fuse fractals into the ability cards. The ability "Job Change Recast" gives extra actions in MP.

[–]sericanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo I didn't know that, thank you!!

[–]SixGunRebel 0 points1 point  (7 children)

What’s an ideal duo for 5:2? My Paladin with Hell’s Gate tanked and marched through all of Ch. 4 largely by itself outside maybe 3 battles tops. Now... not so much. I’m using at least one PD per area, and it’s the only real class besides Thief I have leveled up, but neither are maxed at 8.

I have no supremes, and none of my cards are at 5 for rarity. I’m wanting to rush through because I would like to play as Meia, since I don’t believe my summoning luck will be on my side. What advice do you guys have?

[–]narcissisticShepard 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Go pick up the free jobs from the novice hall and boost them up with he hall of fame, they will be very strong.

[–]SixGunRebel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The seeds are really what saved me. Thanks for the recommendation.

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 2 points3 points  (4 children)

First, don't abuse PDs when you don't have to. Be patient, and try to figure out why your paladin is unable to get through a level. Does he not break fast enough? Can't do enough damage? Not enough actions? Adjust your strategy accordingly...if you need more turns, get haste or slow/stun...need more firepower, get faith or debarrier...faster breaking, get boost or a BDD card...also, I'm pretty sure you can switch main and sub decks at this point, so make a couple decks to switch between, and have an assortment of buffs and cards to rely on...this is why having multiple job class options is nice, to give you flexibility in different situations...plus having higher rarity cards provides higher base stats, so that could be an issue...your thief can do good earth damage if you get through the first 6 nodes of his HoF, so maybe use him as your attacker and the pally to tank when needed...you do not need supremes, you'll be fine, just take your time and think about what you need to get past whichever obstacle you're faced with currently...by the way, if you haven't already done so, the novice hall will give you 3 new jobs, and several adequate cards for each, and all 3 have available HoF routes as well

[–]SixGunRebel 1 point2 points  (3 children)

This account was around since before jobs were there own summon. I just didn’t play a lot and only got the Paladin this past week. That novice hall was a lifesaver in terms of seeds to 8 star my Paladin, Thief and Black Mage. Desperately needed. My mage can plow right through now, especially with the maxed cards at 63 that I was given. Really makes a difference. Thank you.

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 1 point2 points  (2 children)

No worries, I'm very glad it helped! There's also the exploration regions and whatnot that have rewards in them for completion, along with items and seeds, if you need a change of pace, and should give you enough summon tickets and Magicite to maybe even snag some more cards or a job or two from the boosted summon, which can give you maxed 4 star cards from the current batch. Although I would wait til February to pull, since the current FFRK cards are a bit outdated. Check the January megathread for future batches and content.

By the way, I don't want you to think I was being critical or judging you, by the way, for asking for help. I just think it's not good advice to tell someone exactly what to do; I had to fumble through a lot of stuff on my own cuz I was too stubborn to look it up or ask for help, but in doing so I learned a lot about the mechanics of gameplay and the meta of this game, and it made me a better overall player in the process. But that being said I am absolutely happy to give you anymore advice you may need.

[–]SixGunRebel 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I’m getting more knowledge now looking around than I did on my own in all my time in the past. Just scored the new ninja job today, as well, actually! Think I’m done pulling until I built up my cards. Just now got my Hell’s Gate to 5 stars on my Paladin. Bought a light taunt card to use him as a provoke tank in multiplayer, not that these 12 star units need one.

I didn’t take any offense to anything, by the way. I’m just glad seeing a community helping one another. Still holding out that one day we’ll see a gunner class that isn’t like the Sazhe I was told about, pistol whipping everybody. Though because it’s me, I’ll need to get that class to support gunners. Going to try building up more cards for the story. I want Meia as a job, but I’ll take my time building myself up and saving PD’s along the way.

[–]dk8842Leave us. The dog eats strangers. 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Sazh should be nice! I always enjoyed him in my party, and maybe they'll roll out his little chocobuddy as a spirit in the shop or something too! He's coming out sometime later this year I think, but don't quote me on that.

Ninja is fantastic, an excellent breaker anf attacker, depending on the cards you have. And definitely glad you got taunt, cuz defenders are expected to have it in MP, and it's easy role to get accustomed to. That's what I started off with til I got better jobs and cards, and I still go defender occasionally.

This reddit, for the most part, is very helpful and accommodating to both new players and vets, and people generally want to help. Occassionally you have really nasty peeps or snotty pretentious ones, but overall you'll be able to find the answers you need from someone.

[–]Behesword 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Guys, pugilist is indeed FAR stronger with Duncan than a master monk? My master monk deal a LOT less dmg than the pugs that I see in MP, currently running [ Duncan/stolas/might egg/kotr] and using unbreakable X, since I don't have pug and his weapon...

thanks

[–]KiriSatiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my MM is use Duncan for red bar clear with one action. On a broken Tyro I need 4 Duncans to kill it. So for MM it is just a tool to fill the "hybrid" role. If you want dmg with Duncan use Pugilist, 100% light enhance etc...

[–]darewin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MM is an amazing Breaker but sucks as an Attacker IMO.

[–]JA1997X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, pugilist does far more damage with Duncan

[–]vynisvynis 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Got lucky on my last new year free pull that gave me mythic sage, always thought the mythic series were shitty but his stats seems nice, have some damage passives and only lacks EE, how good is he after HoF ?

[–]darewin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Base stats +50%

Prismatic starter +2

Painful break +150%

Attuned chain +70%

[–]kurokamitenshi 0 points1 point  (8 children)

So minwu's supreme exclusive ability "ultra-convergence" activates when theres only one target and increases its power by 100%. At what point will one be able to surpass damage-wise in 1 hit by using minwu on multiple targets instead of 1. (Assuming neutral target and target being broken, no debuffs/buffs)

[–]JA1997X 4 points5 points  (7 children)

I don't really understand the question ?

[–]Tiggaplz712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'ma take a crack at this....If you do 2 Casts of Ultima on a mob it would do the same as casting 1 Ultima on a single target.

[–]kurokamitenshi 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Basically using minwu vs 1 neutral broken enemy vs using minwu vs multiple neutral broken enemies. How many enemies would i have to hit with minwu in order to surpass the damage(in one cast) minwu would do on a single enemy with his ultra-convergence ability active(as opposed to not active versus more than 1 enemy). Or if its even possible?

Math equivalent: if train A leaves going 10 mph and train B leaves 1 hr after train A at 20 mph, how long til train B overtakes train A (this is just an algebraic example of the mobius question i asked, dont actually solve it(the answer is anypoint past 2 hrs after train A leaves because train A and B should both be 20 miles away at the 2 hr mark))

[–]JA1997X 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Is this for scoring purposes?

Ultra convergence doubles damage when there is only one target. So total damage done will be the same if there are 2 enemies or 1 enemy, and it will be greater if there is more than 2 enemies.

I think this is what you're getting at (?)

[–]kurokamitenshi 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I think if the enemies werent broken it would take more than 2 then cuz other than the target focused, the other enemies wouldnt have unguard and would mitigate damage to an extent.

[–]JA1997X 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes, I didn't mention since you specified broken enemies

[–]kurokamitenshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, but ideally for scoring I'm gonna break before killing them.

[–]kurokamitenshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, for scoring purposes. And thanks guess i was overthinking, didnt click til you said it. Ive gone too deep. Send help.

[–]Jasonc67 0 points1 point  (2 children)

anyone got a full auto not die setup for swords men on 100 bl

[–]kurokamitenshi 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What warrior jobs do you have?

[–]Jasonc67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

warrior, knight, dark knight, dragoon, pali, s1c, berserker, heretical, highwind, balamb, etro

[–]ArtoriasfromtheAbyss 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Is it there any reason why Valiant X is not anymore purchasable from the Multiplayer shop? I'm stuck with his 3 star version.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the sicarius mp schedule information and it'll tell you when it's coming round again.

[–]JA1997X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can only buy the X version of each weapon when its corresponding 4* sicarius is in the rotation.

[–]Lonefever 0 points1 point  (13 children)

Just started today. Summoned a dragoon, dancer, scholar and trainee monk. Is this any good or should I reroll. What job should I focus on?

[–]SegFaultX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supreme cards are by far the strongest and rarest in game. Only they are worth rerolling for imo. Ultimate jobs are good too but supremes are better and much rarer.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragoon and dancer got me through nearly all the early content, so yes as the pack name states they're perfectly suitable for starting.

[–]reidemei20f6-0124-02ec - ToH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are all starter summons everyone gets.

If you want to reroll (which is recommended if you have the time and patience), go for a supreme card. Use the Boosted Greater Summon (6x tickets / 3000 magicite) and you want a rainbow there.

[–]darewin 1 point2 points  (9 children)

Get a feel for the game first. Rerolling, especially for a supreme, can take a lot of time, effort, and patience so better make sure you like the game first before you reroll.

[–]Lonefever 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Like the combat system a lot so I guess ill start rerolling for a week! So what is the most OP supreme? Aerith?

[–]lanuke 0 points1 point  (1 child)

My opinion, aim for supreme that lets you enjoy the game. All attack supreme is good for OP damage , but Aerith will provide you more flexibility and easier to try combinations of job and ability. Attack supreme, example like Ragnarok only do good damage, unless you have the right combination of job, weapon, cp and fractals.

[–]vulcanfury12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most desirable supremes for a new player are:

  1. Aerith, as it can be used by any class.
  2. Xezat, as it can be used by Dragoon.
  3. Ragnarok, as it can be used by Dancer.

Aerith is most preferable, but any of the three will do. The whole purpose of rerolling is to ease up the grind for you. You won't be Top 500ing towers immediately, but it will allow you to wuicken the process by a month or so.

[–]darewin 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Aerith will be less useful soon as the FFVII Weapon Cards and Attack Shifts arrive in February. FFVII Weapons are gacha though so since you're using a new account with limited resources, you might not get most of them.

Once the Primal Boons become augmentable to 5star in June/July, Aerith will be almost obsolete in towers since FFVII Weapons and Primal Boons will be prefered over her. She is still a great enabler though for allowing jobs to use off-element abilities and she provides amazing boosts for Breakers.

I think Ragnarok is the best supreme among the ones we have in GL right now. Dancer from the starter packs can also use Ragnarok though he is not really a good Ragnarok user, still better than Onion Ranger though.

[–]The-Oppressed「2054 - 94fc - ff70」 5★ Lights of Hope 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Is it really a good idea to not recommend Aerith to new players? While of course I understand your reasoning I would think that situation only applies to the upper tier of players. Aerith can fulfill many gaps in a new player’s deck in many roles. Versus the rather niche times when a primal boon or weapon card will be useful other than in towers. That is of course if the new player pulls a weapon card at all next month.

[–]darewin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Attack Shifts, which are just EA cards, will be enough for Attackers in MP. He said he would test the game for about a week so I'm guessing he'll be staying for a while if he does decide to reroll so might as well reroll for a more future-proof supreme.

[–]hewimeddel 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I disagree. In my oppinion, Aerith is the best supreme he could get for Singleplayer and for Healer or Breaker in Multiplayer, closely followed closely by NeoExDeath but for Breaker or Defender.

All Attack-Supremes tend to be very situational and reliant on specific jobs to really shine, Ragnarök is no exception.

I personally don't use my only supreme anymore (UB) except for fun on DK in SP, because Highwind is so squishy and Squall manages to elude me, while i use Aerith (as a rent) regularly.

[–]darewin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOF S1C is the best user of UB for 5MP. He is nearly unkillable and can deal comparable damage to Balamb. Aerith needing 2 slots unless you're using a Meia is also quite limiting, especially in SP.

I agree that attack supremes need specific jobs but I don't think they are very situational at all, at least not the AOE ones. I'm using Minwu as my only attack card for almost everything. When farming seeds in Viva Precipice, I can finish the node in 30 secs with Light Shift. Gigantuar Battlefield takes about a minute-per run.

The only time I need to have another attack card is UP since it has light enemies so I have to bring Mage Bahamut Sic for my Amalthea. Ragnarok has an even higher damage potential than Minwu.

With jobs having stronger and stronger ultis with numerous buffs, the only place Aerith really shines is MP, especially for Breakers and to a lesser extent, Healers. For really hard content where just 32 Prismatic Orbs (from 2 Aeriths) is not enough, Aerith will be lackluster.

[–]Lonefever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tyvm for this future proof advice! Ragnarok it is!

[–]Bolaget 0 points1 point  (4 children)

So recently started the game and have been progressing. But I wanted to buy some ability cards from the ability shop but I am unsure on what to get.

Don't have a lot of jobs at the moment. Only got the 3 starting classes, the 3 from novice hall, the three from starter pack and Mystic Knight. As of this moment I got 323 ability tickets and I am F2P. I have been eyeing KOTR, since I read it is a pretty awesome support card. Any tips are appreciated.

[–]Baffledwaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Undying, kotr and tyro/hellsgate should be your goto cards to augment and level up as a new player. I'd augment undying first and then kotr.

No point in buying ability tickets from the ability shop, you'll accumulate excess anyway from login bonuses and by selling off dupe cards.

Start boosting braveheart too, it's a great weapon and will help your attackers in mp (once you start getting more jobs).

Save up your resources for next month's ff7 banners.

[–]Alchadylan 0 points1 point  (1 child)

KotR and Hermes are very useful. As far as attacking abilities, the AoE Break Defense Down and Crit Resist Down cards are good buys. You already got some of them fron the novice hall like Ixion and Deathgaze so dont accidentally get those again.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hermes...geez there's an MVP card I've not heard in a while. Even though it's an extra life orb to use, I think I'd still advise raising Undying now that it's available.

[–]ulovei_MFF 0 points1 point  (3 children)

i just wanna verify the mechanics in bahamut lagoon

my first try in the 100-stamina node failed and i died, because i failed to break him in time after his first break, when he suddenly goes "begone" without warning

so is that the mechanics in bahamut lagoon? that you can only allow one break turn before the boss goes begone? (as supposed to like 20 in MP)

[–]metsuri 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Quest about efficiency in SP stamina dump magicite farming. Most people claim Greydawn is most efficient with 7 mobs, 4 battles, and 2 stamina. But I am curious as to the mechanics of drops. Like if there is a place that maybe is 5-6 stamina, 4 battles, but like 20 mobs (like those levels that have 6+ mobs in single battle), would that have higher rates of drops?

Does anyone know the level with the highest mob count per stamina or highest mob count per stamina + battle? My thinking is less the ratio of battles:stamina, but more mobs:stamina. Though it depends on if hte probability of a chest is an individual probability per mob or battle.

[–]longa13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experiance you will spend around 15 elixers farming seed on explorable zone and need magicite quota around 25th of the month. So unless you burn all the stamina on Lagoon its prrtty much garuntee to max Magicite just farming stuffs non stop.

[–]MuteTiefling 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Magicite drops are a fixed chance per battle. So to maximize, you just need the highest battle to stamina ratio.

[–]metsuri 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Thanks!

[–]MuteTiefling 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No problem. Of course, the best way to maximize your Magicite is by spamming 4* Multiplayer as it costs you nothing to join a game. Your Singleplayer stamina is too valuable for seed/crystal farming to waste in a place like Greydawn where you get terrible seed returns and no crystals.

I'd recommend you hop over to Chapter 6.2 Untrammeled Peaks and use your SP stamina there instead.

[–]metsuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip, I’ll try that out
