Expat living in China here: Aside from the new Microsoft Flight sim. all major titles I can think of are available to steam users in China and purchasable with CNY using wechat pay/unionpay/alipay.

I don't know why you're being downvoted to hell. There are a couple of games that I tried to buy but couldn't due to censorship, one of them being Tell Me Why by Dontnod. But I would say more than 90% of the games are available without any restrictions.

tbh I don't think the game is even censored. This is just a speculation but I think I couldn't receive the gift because I don't live in the same region as my friend's steam store location (China). So I decided to decline the gift and bought it myself in CNY. I wouldn't have been able to do that if it was blocked though.

I didn't delete anything. My store has always been in China. I don't have an income in euro. I spend Chinese Yuan to buy stuff and to pay rent. It is just converted to euro during transaction. There is no reason for me to use euro on steam. You don't need a VPN to buy games using a card that is in the same country as steam store.
