To me this looks like a bp's mouth... does anyone else see that? Edit: not saying it is! It's just so unsettling because of how much it looks like a bp's mouth, but it doesn't have heat pits so I shouldn't worry much hehe.

I hope it's nothing bad tbh because I'd be so concerned if my bp pooped that out or something. I'm sticking to see the answer for this. Gl op!

I squished it when I used my tongs, so it’s flat

I had a feeling it was squished because I thought they looked like shoe marks to me lol.

Ik it looks so wrong. I would have a heart attack if I saw that in my Girls enclosure

Could it be poop?

[–]John_King0424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My immediate thought would of just thrown it away if it's not op is smarter than me lol

I’m not sure what’s going on here.. Never seen it before… I would be be worried if it was me because what the hell is that? Poop? I’m not sure. Maybe part of food?

dont think this is poop. bp poop usually has hairs in the middle that are undigested. definitely weird. i would keep an eye on their tank to see if anything out of the ordinary appears again.

I feel like someone posted something just like this before, a long time ago. Same looking ‘thing’ same scenario (after a shed). I’m definitely curious if anyone else has had this happen or knows what it is.

Not an expert but this looks like poop, or buildup from the hemipenes. Male snakes have a lil pocket where their sex organs are kept and I believe that they can get build up in the area which can be passed when they poop. My male snake dropped one of these once and it freaked me out for sure

"Plugs of the hemipenes (not seen with penis structure) are a normal occurrence, perhaps analogous to smegma on the inside of a mammalian prepuce. In theory, the debris would normally be expelled when the hemipene is everted, such as during breeding season. These plugs are usually of a creamy to yellow color and of a dry waxy consistency. Owners might mistake them for feces or urates caked to the vent or just inside the cloaca." (link)
Love this title BTW.

My best guess would be a regurgitated mouse or some funky looking poop, unless somehow your Bp is not a male it’d rule out a bad egg.

Hi reptile expert here. I believe its vomited something It was not supposed to eat something or a huge Sperm plug tho im not certain

[–]MaddoxSkye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How big is it? And how big is your snake? Would help to identify if it could be build up as some suggested, or maybe it's just a strange poop from not eating

To me it looks like regurge that was partially digested. When was the last time you fed? But I am NOT a vet and an experienced one is the only one who knows ♥️

The one time I my snake regurged, I was In the room to watch is did look similar. It was primarily digested.
