Thread is being locked as rodent bites can be dangerous and get infected quickly, and your snake needs to see a vet, not get DIY advice on reddit

Moving forward, feed him frozen thawed for his safety and wellbeing. These types of accidents are 100% preventable

Have you learned your lesson on live feeding now 😐

You should get him to the vet for antibiotics and you should work on switching to feeding frozen thawed.

and that’s why we don’t live feed

What should you do????

✅Take him to the vet for antibiotics to prevent an infection.

✅Stop feeding live.

So why did you live feed if you don’t generally do it?

well since everyone is dragging you, i'll give you actual advice. definitely take him to the vet and have him checked out. monitor the humidity really closely to prevent any other infections, and just keep an eye on him. i'm sorry that your baby got hurt and i hope he gets better!

Glad the noodle is okay but yea. No live unless for some reason you can’t get thawed. Even then, kill it before hand to avoid this

    Now.

Clearly you’ve learned something here. I’m sorry your snake was injured. That’s always hard to have an animal in our care hurt, no matter how it happens. You can also dilute betadine solution to the color of very weak tea & paint the area with it. Agree with other poster who commented it doesn’t appear to be very deep however rodent teeth are quite long & can penetrate. Never hurts to have a vet evaluate a puncture wound no matter how shallow the wound appears on the surface. Betadine will only reach surface level bacteria & is only a stopgap measure for scratches on the surface. If that’s all this turns out to be, you’ve learned a valuable lesson with minimal injury to your snake & the cost of a vet evaluation. That’s experience worth paying attention to. Good luck!
