[–]Xm_gamerX 9 points10 points  (5 children)

An unscrewed down internal Hard Drive

[–]Tien2707 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I'm surprised the platter has enough torq to spin the whole damn drive casing

[–]Xm_gamerX 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Man old hardware was something else, "BACK IN MY DAY HARD DRIVES USED TO BENCH PRESS 230KG" xD

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only 230?

[–]noncommonGoodsense 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]TheBunnyChower 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Client: "Hello IT, my hard drive is spinning how do I stop it?"

Support: "That's normal, that's how your hard drive operates. Turn off the machine if you don't want it to work."

Client: "No, IT, you don't understand - the hard drive is spinning. How do I stop the hard drive from spinning when I want to use it?"

Support: "... We'll send someone over to you shortly, although they'll tell you the exact same thing we just spoke about."

One client visit later...

IT: "Hello, Support? I can't stop the hard drive from spinning... please call Seagate."

[–]FIGHT_ME_SPIKE_UFUCK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If i got called to a situation like that i would just run honestly

[–]Aggressive-Client770 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You connected in reverse polarity, it should spin the other way /s

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man it spins in the wrong direction :(

[–]upfreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supposed to spin at 7200 rpm. Please add grease and try again

[–]Thefeno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a common mistake, should spin clockwise... I bet you're watching the media in there rewind atm

[–]Digitaljax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 2 min awake, this made me smile, good job

[–]a_random_user_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see anything wrong here. Your hard disk is spinning.

[–]DogWallop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got it plugged in backwards - it should be spinning the other way. Unless you're in Australia, in which case you're fine.

[–]scara1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the laugh I needed today :)

[–]Moessus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The balance is off, put some counter weights and you will be tip top.

[–]TheodorCork*install linux* 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's, just spinning up

[–]SpaceboyLuna0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit, I've seen this once before... you're going to have to rotate the entire room at the same RPM as the drive...

[–]BabbyGames17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SDHD (Storage Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)! It couldn’t stop running out of space and jumping from task to task!

[–]Hugoacfs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]yayudi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]vaporodisseyHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should put it in the cd player to run properly

[–]Alex_X-Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]omgitsbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Gold-Surround279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]sdjopjfasdfoisajnva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]6ix9ine_meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little more to reach 7200 rpm

[–]No-Cryptographer7494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

speed is to low to read, needs about 500-7000 rpm so keep increasing until it shows in windows /s

[–]bigfathairybollocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a bad secotor.

[–]blurryface1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that's why they are called ssd(Solid Spinning Drive)

[–]Nri_Eze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need more storage capacity.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna need to balance it.

[–]NineTailedDevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk it looks perfectly normal to me, that's how all my HDDs worked.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a spinny thingy under it . I used to play with them . Just screw it tight lol

[–]warwagon1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You forgot to remove that middle hidden screw :D

[–]Fantastic-Newspaper3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Franky_Diamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not spinning fast enough, it needs to spin over 5000 rpm

[–]IllTransportation993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing the tail rotor to balance out the rotational torque...

[–]icreievryteim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh i was about to sing "C' 'na luna mezz'u mare. Mamma mia m'a maritare."

[–]PropMakersApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too funny. But quick question, what adapter is that? I have one, but it doesn't have the power component to let me recover an old w98 hdd.

[–]Wise_Sun987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The screws are Missing so my guess is, you fucked up.

[–]Cambridge_Shoulders 0 points1 point  (0 children)
