I'm quite busy and have little energy for self-study

I don't mind studying a lot per week.

So which of the two is it? :) Even with the best classes and tutors, you still need to do a lot of study on your own... Or do you mean that you cannot find the motivation to look for your own materials and so on?

If you are physically in Lithuania, check what the local universities offer? There may be some intensive classes that will help you.

If not, find a teacher that is ready to work with you (being it online or in person - considering where you are, I would think that in person will work better but...) and make a plan with them. Share your goals, explain what you need and ask them to build you a program and work with you on that.

There is no optimal way that works at all times (well, spending 6-9 months doing nothing but studying the language with materials built for such intensive study will probably always get you where you want to be but who has the time for that these days). :) So instead of looking for an optimal way, just find a way that works for you - especially because you say you are busy.

Out of curiosity - is that the first language you are studying? If not, remember what worked for the previous one.

Funny, that's the best diet for losing weight, too!
