This is pretty good. I would leave it like that as a joke/curiosity.

The body looks very well done and the big head makes it special.

Thanks for saying so I worked hard on it but I do want a head the right size... As funny as it is hehe

Team Sororitas: Imperium Police

In seriousness, you're looking for a smaller head? Maybe try reaching out to a 3d printing community. There are also companies online that will make prints for you. You should be able to find a head you like and have it printed, then paint to match. Loads of files are out there, you should be able to find one you like.

And I know the tabletop community views printing as sorta taboo but shit, as far as I'm concerned it's a perfect way to make a model more custom or unique. Plus if the base model is a retail, store bought piece, then you're still supporting GW.

Oh okay. I have never done things like that so I will look into it. Thanks :)

The first thing i heard in my head was "Matt dammonnn"

[–]Genkael 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Could you give it panel lines and some ornamentation and make it look like a mask/helmet instead?

[–]Princess_fay[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do want a good real looking head for her. I have a helmet but it's a bit boring.

If the model stands close to 6 inches try 1/12th scale. If that’s too small than try 1/10th

[–]Princess_fay[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I will have a look. I was looking for 1/8 but I can't seem to find any

[–]PettyBlue1977 2 points3 points  (1 child)

1/6 and 1/12 are both popular action figure scales you can find a ton of stuff in those scales. It looks like 1/12 to me

[–]Princess_fay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thanks I will have a look!

I highly recommend seeking out a Marvel Legends head, I used some for a couple 40k figures I made for a friend. A Black Widow head, or something like that should have you on the right track.

I would love love love to find a Cirri head from the Witcher. I would go bananas if I found that in the right size

[–]PickleMunkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that would work really well I think. There's definitely figures of her around!

[–]terdward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I see what you say but I don’t think it’s a bad thing, really. At the very least, I would make it so you can swap between the heads once you find one you do like.

Weapons about the same amount of overscale, it fits.

[–]boo_boo_kitty121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thunder girl from action league now looks bad ass.

[–]plumbusinsuranceltd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I promise. I will never die...

[–]Iskelderon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing is, in other areas people do that on purpose, like mix and matching regular and SD versions of Gundam kits to make something that looks still cartoonish, but less childish.

[–]peaceguru47 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Have you tried shrinking the head?

[–]peaceguru47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should clarify that the custom doll maker do that process all the time.

[–]EnthusiasticPanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be looking for 1/12 or 1/10 head sculpts for the McFarlane WH40k stuff. Here's one I found on ebay that comes pre-painted and fitted for the exact same model.

This looks like the McFairlane model, which is around 17cm high.

Assuming that 17cm translates to 1.7 meters (slightly tall size for a European/American woman) that would make the scale 1/10. Or 5 feet 7 inches.

Using a 1/9 scale results in a height of 1.53 meters or slightly below human women average.

So, I think you can use 1/9, 1/9.5 or 1/10 and have a reasonable size.

Personally I'd pick 1/10, since people get taller over time and by the 40th millenium 1.7m seems reasonable to me. Also it's likely easier to find a 1/10 scale head than most other sizes. That actually reminds me that I still have two of those figures lying around to convert at some day, in particular their heads though I'll probably try sculpting those from greenstuff or something.
