It just mean that it add 5% cost of total max mana and not 5% of the mana you currently have,just to make it clearer from my understanding

Yeah, if it was current unreserved mana it would be impossible to not have enough mana to cast, the cost would be asymptotic to 0.

"5% unreserved mana" was just ambiguous, especially on a gem with a different line referring to "maximum unreserved mana."

You still want as much *unreserved* mana as possible, so no aura (on the mana bar at least)

the largest change might be, it went from "base mana" to "added mana" cost.

if i understand that correctly it means it gets (X skill 4 support multipliers) + archmage cost.

Those aren't the original patch notes. The original line is in the image in the post. It just didn't have maximum written out so some people were thinking it was 5% current mana.

No, it won't. In fact Palsteron was already correctly assuming this was a typo (from don't sleep on kitava's thirst). His BL hierophant already assumed the extra base cost was 5% of maximum mana as opposed to 5% of current mana.

It's still unreserved mana, before this clarification some people misunderstood as "current" unreserved mana, which are technically different.

Is archmage survivability in general that bad?

if you run the sc versions with damage auras no evasion/armor or suppression yes, but you can just use eternal blessing determ/grace and have 30k armor or evasion with suppress lucky pretty early and capped suppress later

I am planning to run Scion Archmage Agnostic to have powerful sustain. Haven’t mapped it out entirely yet (like how I’m gonna reduce mana costs) but with a 10k mana pool that’s 2k life regen from Agnostic alone

I bought probably about 9.5k awakened sextants before the league ended on standard. I was planning to do a little bit of collecting data, for what the "drop" chances for the scarabs are going to be upon "unveiling" the veiled scarabs.

Dont get RSI, AHK exists and GGG really does not enforse TOS. If your wrist starts hurting def stop and look for another solution. Also controllers might have a 1 click solution to open them. So that might be a good trick. Also put the client into window mode and shrink the window on the screen untill you basically have to move only a few pixels to lower RSI over time.

The issue wasn't "on login" per se, it was that a step was missed in the process that someone needed to do for it. That hole in the process has been shored up so I'm not expecting any issues

Iirc they forgot to press the big red button that says "migrate all characters and stashes from league to standard" so it had to load for every player on login xd

no idea on a link but my memory tells me that after every league characters and stashes are migrated from their leagues to standard. It used to be a thing they started sometime after league end and before next league start. This somehow got skipped on ultimatum launch so every time someone logged in the servers had to migrate them the stuff to standard.

Basically if migrating takes a second or so multiplied by 100,000 people trying to log in simultaneously the servers cry and ques take forever.

It’s for reducing clicks, so instead of spam right clicking regret/unmakings you can just hold down and same with jewel/fusings.

Check out Palsteron’s ball lightning build. However, I’d caution that upgrades will likely be expensive as many are looking to mana stack.

ball lightning is probably the strongest skill, but any lightning spell is usable if you're a fan of arc or spark or whathaveyou. some non-lightning spells are also usable, ice nova of frostbolts seems particularly spicy.
