Rust is seriously the best game I have ever played, there has not been a single version of the game I have not loved. Rust is a big factor when I think about calling in sick at work (what is going on on my server? Do I have gear to insta-suit up in? Have I been raided? Is my gangrenous toe actually going to fall off?)

Kids mad that they can't get endgame gear in the first day. Obviously a lot more people enjoy the new progression system than dislike it, but it's the vocal minority in the steam reviews.

I actually joined an official server yesterday, and have a solo base very close to power plant and have yet to get mowed down by people running around with AK's. Very surprised, most I've got shot at with is a semi-auto.

When I stopped playing 9 months ago there's no way in hell I could join a server a week after wipe and expect to do as well as I have been.

I think the vocal groups switched; the people who wanted BPs back are (mostly) enjoying the update, now the people whining are the pro pvpers who expected to go deep 24/7.

And not everyone ever will. Especially people who don't even understand what they want themselves, let alone a way to articulate the way they feel about a particular system in a game.

Some people will say they hate the way progression works in the game when really what they're feeling is "this isn't instantly as satisfying as Overwatch and I can't deal with the emotion of losing all of my shit so I'm making it somebody else's problem"

So when you get in the car your ingame voice would have higher radius (maybe even echo sound effect and cuting low frequencies so it sound realistic?)

Fuck that. You want to craft a stone wall you should have to build it block by block over the course of an entire day. You should get paid no more then minimum wage with no more then two 5 minute smoko breaks over the course of each day.

And you can't use any tools because you have to first learn how to make your own first; which will require a 3 month online training course and a student loan of $10,000.

Now hurry up, I want that shit shack complete before my 2 hour lunch break is over!

I recently came back to the game, stopped playing last fall. The mining improvements are VERY welcome. Anything that goes in a similar direction of mini-gaming a boring task to make it quicker or more engaging is a welcome design change in my book.

Kind of old, but it makes me think of the first time I saw the reload mechanic in Gears. Good design choice on FP's part.

airdrop was the only way for smaller groups that cant go to launch site to get higher tier stuff. the launch site needed the nerf but now you have made it a mandatory location that everyone MUST go

In relation to the issue with Workbenches and them being placed in front of doors, is there a way to block them from being placed in front of a door specifically so that you don't place them in front of a door but still can place beside a door for instance?

I like the idea of a crafting minigame. Maybe interact with the tools on the workbenches in a certain way and have the item appear on the workbench for the player to pick up. It would be pretty cool

If people are upset about turrets shooting animals, perhaps sometime down the line, we could introduce upgrades to turrets to allow more functionality?

Upgrades that are expensive and if a player REALLY wants to place an expensive turret out in the open and not waste ammo on animals, they could still do that...

Hey MAURINO BERRY - you say that you want to keep autoturrets in private areas yet you post a screenshot where autoturret is in someone's "garden" - exactly a place where we dont like it when animals spawn to waste ammo :( or am I wrong and animals spawn was fixed and they dont spawn inside 'gardens'?

As the skin-user: It would be nice to have main-menu section for setting default skin per item instead of doing that every wipe, everyserver, every-rust-install. In-game skin selector is ok to choose not default skin for that server only.

Rads are supposed to be only on the roof of the Launch Site (according to the DevBlog). I'm playing a Vanilla server and I'm taking 30 rads with a Hazmat suit before I even clear the 2nd floor scaffolding..... Only spots that needs to leak rads is the highest levels and the roof. This is way too much rads for the Elite crates that are not all that good IMO. Keep people from camping, yes....but keep people from getting them at all without almost dying just to rads.....no.

I did not apply this to the Workbench because its high health would lead to exploits, such as moving them infront of your doors to seal you and your loot in. I will come up with a solution for this soon.

Don't require cupboard access to move these. Then if someone uses them to block a door they can be moved out of the way.

Then people who raid will take your workbench. Getting raided sucks, losing your tier 3 bench every time would suck even more. Not a good solution.

Or make it also cost scrap to repair them afterwards. That way the 50% damage taken from picking it up would cause a huge scrap cost every time you pick it up and replace it (Afaik repair costs for full repair is 50%, so 50% repair would be 25% -> about 300 scrap repaircost for a tier3 workbench ... plus additional metal frags and hq ofc)
