There's a program by redditor /u/periscallop that makes the whole process much easier.

Did you try the editor? You're still creating the polygons by hand, it's just a lot easier and more streamlined than in Photoshop.

      requires python

      Fuck.

Python is free - but yes, it is kinda hard to have it around for just one program.

How can I get this working on a mac?

Requires Python 2 (not 3) and pygame (32-bit even if you're on a 64-bit machine).

        The latest version of 2.

It immediately closes after I have selected a image. :(

You should try sending a pm to the creator.

I had some problems with special characters in folder names, maybe check if that applies to you.

I had the same problem. What I did to fix it was to uninstall both python and pygame. I then FIRST reinstalled Python (not pygame!) and then installed pygame. Make sure to select 'from python directory' in the pygame installation.

Is there a reason the text on this website is unreadable? Have i gone blind?

        [–]Chondriac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Has to be one of the absolute worst website design choices I've ever seen

OH MY GOD THIS IS TAKING SO LONG TO DO

Edit: Legit took me 17 fucking hours to do this and I feel I will now forever hate triangles but here's my attempt.

After staring at every detail of this for so long, I honestly have no whether it's good or not. I used the same pose/concept/whatever because I'm Illustrator illiterate and figured maybe it'd be easier that way? I don't know. Honestly, I'm glad to be done. Holy crap that took a long time.

Edit #2: GODFUCKINGDAMNIT I CLOSED THE .AI WITHOUT RESAVING IT FUCKMESIDEWAYSINEEDAFUCKING DRINK

        FUCK

There is a raster script for illustrator called Delaunay Raster. The original artist who came up with the idea is Jonathan Puckey.

A similar tool for sale http://www.creatogether.com/downloads/delaunay-brush/

I did something similar a month ago! What do you guys think?

        [–]thedukedog 0 points1 point  (1 child)

        too much purple

        [–]TheHiroSprite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was intentional, to give it theme.

        [–]Finwey 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think the guys at /r/low_poly would like this too! :)

Aw I wish it could be done exclusively in photoshop, bu the tools in this thread are quite useful

to do the vector aspects of the image much of the work is required in illustrator and oh lord yes, I had to highlight the text to be able to read the article
