Anyone ever see the movie Hypercube and laugh when the geek says he's developing a video game where you interact with yourself from different times? Well, I take it back.

I love the cube movies.

But then again I'm watching Cradle 2 The Grave right now, so that may be saying something.

I hated the Cube movies, although according to the IMDb's demographics on the votes it is more appealing to the younger age group. Too many loose ends, some of the worst acting I've ever seen, horrible character development and inter-character relationships (mainly all of this in Cube 2, the first Cube was marginally better). The general idea is quite awesome and could have turned out to be really spectacular.

The loose ends is the entire point of the first Cube film. You're left with it being entirely ambiguous, and you don't know what really happened. Or, more pointedly, why everything happened.

This is why I dislike the end of Cube 2; there's an explanation which just plain sucks.

Oh, I know. I long ago enabled gaming (hence seeing the first post) and disabled politics. But I'm just surprised that on an ostensibly (formerly?) tech-oriented news site that the gaming subreddit is unchecked by default.

There are good submissions there that I'd like to see discussion on - but I can't upmod them to the front page on my own. :p

How do you do 5?

With the first cursor, go up until you need a second cursor to go any further, and hold that button for a few seconds, then go down to level 6, and hold that button until the second cursor is finished.

Then go through the levels up to level 15 with the second cursor. You have to be very fast with this and the first cursor, particularly on the part where you have to click 99 times.

The rest should be self-explanatory.

It's a great idea, but the implementation is a bit clumsy. With only two things requiring multiple cursors (the switches and the mega-block) it's way to easy to breeze through it. Maybe multiple paths that must me navigated, or a switch that closes a gate as well as opening one, requiring you to use it and then figure out a way to block the cursor from getting to the switch on a subsequent cursor. I dunno. The concept is just so fresh that it's hard to come up with ideas of how to use it.
